That decision of which birds get a freezer nap is a lot easier when you have volunteers. It's all good!

I was the same! "This goes in reverse too?!" Haha, I still do it all the time and wonder why "it won't just go" 🤣

    Gorgeous photography!
Too bad about the roosters..... They have beautiful plumage.... But being mean is a big "no-no"...

Thank you, Patience! 💕 Yes, it was really tough to swallow that they didn't work out. They are indeed beautiful. I tell myself there will be many more great ones to come with great dispositions. 💕

I almost lost a hen a couple days ago because my male turkey is becoming really aggressive to chickens I had to move him in with the goats until weather gets better and he can free range again

I had read about having male turkeys with chickens and wondered how much of an issue that is... good to know...

Do you think that whitey may be sickly? I've heard that chickens will "pick-on" the weak/sickly (eventually leading to death) as a way of keeping the flock strong.

That's a good point, Jason. Not impossible there's something I don't realize yet about Whitey that they do. It's going to be interesting to observe how he does now. 👀
