I really like Ariel's take on combining the two characters, especially the idea of batman sitting at home and virtually driving the avatars to fight crime.

This is another excellent exercise to try out! I feel like some of these challenges would be great in a school art class. Character and story in a drawing are lessons I wish I had learnt much earlier in life.
I love both finished designs! The combination of different themes works so well. Doesn't hurt that both artists are amazing. The details on both are on-point! I love this challenge and can't wait to see it used again.

Welcome welcome! ^-^ P.S.: (Sorry, i truly truly truly hate myself for this (believe me: first I looked through all the 200 comments, and hope, that someone mentioned it before, so i don't have to... :\ ), but I just can't resist: Avatar is only the name of the artificial specimens humans have "grown" (genetically-engineer) in labs and use to control/"project themself into" with a high-tech, neural-link device. Just like in social media your "avatar" is your profile, profile picture (or for example in an MMORPG your character is technically your "avatar") and other online/digital extensions/representations of your IRL self. The name of the blue, catlike alien race native to Pandora is Na'vi. I don't even like the Avatar movie and universe very much, but hurt my ears to hear this error in a conversation between two fellow geeks. I am really sorry to bring this up, it's something of a compulsive urge, like OCD, not that I want to feel myself to be the smartest in the room. (Because i don't feel any smarter, only mean, cruel and annoyingly nitpicky, but I just can't resist))
Man all I could imagine the whole time was a paraplegic former marine Sully who’s millionaire twin brother died and left him a bat exoskeleton that could let him walk, with the condition that he use it to fight crime. I wish I was an artist so I could draw it!
Great vid! Wonderful personalities! Absolutely brilliant challenge, you both pick so you both get to draw who you want so you can genuinely enjoy but there’s that twist that stretches the creative side. Awesome job
The idea of a crime fighter using duplicate bodies to self preserve is not that surprising - in fact, Motoko Kusenagi from Ghost in the Shell has done this on a few occasions (even cheating an assassination using a remote body to 'die' in her place during the events of Stand Alone Complex). Sounds like the next thing Batman would probably do as a development following the events of Batman Beyond.
As someone who also does art for a hobby and is still learning I absolutely love Ariel! Not only she's super funny and charismatic but her art journey is super inspiring! Love the new member to the team
Honestly a crime fighting Jake Sully in Gotham with access to the Avatar system makes a great deal of conceptual sense? Imagine, if you will, that little Jake was crippled in the attack that killed his parents (Joe Chill tried to "silence the one witness" and aimed much too low, lodging a bullet in his spine)... doesn't it just make perfect sense that the paraplegic turbo-billionaire owner/CEO of Sully Pharmaceuticals and Biotech would be driven by not only an abiding sense of justice (thank you Alfred) but also a need to get personally involved to stop anyone else having to go through his own trauma? Instead of training for years to become a master martial artist, gymnast and acrobat, he'd pour his resources into developing increasingly advanced and capable Avatars (like Bruce's walk-in cavern of suits) with superhuman reflexes and senses which would further explain his inability to let go of the vigilante alter ego. During his nightly activities he'd be able-bodied... MORE than able-bodied... and the redundant Avatars would assuage his fear of death on top of fulfilling the kind of power fantasy that I'm sure he'd harbour from the day he woke up in hospital. He wouldn't have Bruce's genius detective mind of course, but in this case he wouldn't need it! Borderline immortal and a straight-up match for Bane in a fistfight, he'd be the terrifying irresistible force to the immovable object that is Gotham's rogues' gallery: doggedly battering away at the problem with infinite resources and a clinically obsessive will. GCPD wouldn't ask his help to solve crimes, they'd do all the legwork and then call on the big blue monster in a suit when conventional force is simply insufficient. Kind of helps with keeping his identity hidden even more than not physically being there and looking totally different from the Avatars as well; who's going to suspect the paralyzed guy of being in any way related to the Blue Knight? The only inconsistency I can think of is that Lucius Fox in this universe would have worked out how to fix or circumvent Jake's spinal injury a good long time ago. My only answer is that maybe it DID happen, but jake had the treatment when it was in its early phases of development and it's taking a long time to "bed in" and fully restore his mobility? A lot of switching from a wheelchair to crutches and back, perhaps.
I immediately had the idea to make the Avatar-Batman as a human-bat hybrid, who is trying to connect with the bat-people who are living inside the Hollow Earth. I have way too many projects to work on, so please somebody take that idea and make it a reality, just send me what you come up with!!! :D
Holy shit Ariel is a fantastic fit. Didn't get a good feel too much from the mural vid but the intro to this really set things in place. Most amazing fantastic 4. And Jazza.
I really like the comic panel feel of the second drawing. Muted background that makes the character really pop out. Both image styles really fitted their prompts.
I think its interesting that between the two pictures, you have both Ikran-man and his alter ego. LOL But seriously, I'd love to see an action shot of Ikran-man leaping towards actual Ikrans with his 4-winged cape spread. :D

Ariel has a strong, forward personality, a nice counterbalance to Alisha's mellow, laid back vibes. The art is nice, and I can't wait until you get all 4 of you working on the same challenge!
