I once heard a forensic portrait artist say that when a witness is lying and just making up a person they claim they saw, they will often subconsciously describe themselves.
That would make them a bad liar, which is good for justice I guess. I can imagine good liars would describe someone else they know but with different hair or eye color. You'd have to also be careful not to repeat yourself though. In different crime cases, I mean.
I remember my art teachers saying that when new artists draw without a model, it nearly always ends up with at least the pieces looking like the artist. I remember we had a lot of trouble switching eye shapes away from our own. My eyes are almond shaped and I had the hardest time drawing round eyes. My partner for those exercises had similar trouble in reverse.
Don't paint jazza in such a bad light. Jazza is a great boss, he lets them out for the toilet and takes them for walkies every single day, and lets not forget the motivational whipping power hour which gets everyone working a 100%. Best boss.
Ariel, your male character makes me think of a character who is typically intimidating and possibly scary, definitely physically capable. They are also an enormous teddy bear poppa who is far more clever than people expect, which they know and exploit for the benefit of their loved ones. I love this one.
I loooove the "Dumb" cartoon characters.... they're like something out of a Ren and Stimpy type show. Maybe Ed, Edd and Eddie crossed with Looney Tunes or something? Just silly animal characters going on funny adventures. :) Whenever you generate art from something random, good things always come of it. :)

The guy definitely has vibes of sweet, kind and approachable Kratos 😂 also, regarding AI: I think it's fine if you use it like you did, as a tool to tackle the white canvas and get some ideas. The issue comes when people write "draw me this and that in the style of this artist" it's no different from art theft and should be stopped. Other than that thank you for another fantastic video ❤

I'd love for you guys to do some more traditional art and not just fantasy characters! Maybe painting a landscape or a still life. I'd be really interested to see your range as artists!

15:46 I actually disagree. it depends on what you’re practicing. Ofc, when focusing on form, or structure, or even likeness, it’s hard to get away with lineless in trad mediums. But subtle expression, mood, lighting, atmosphere, composition, flow, and generally anything more experimental, is SO fun to practice with lineless traditional. when I say “lineless” it aint quite true though; I use a ballpoint pen, but I THINK about it like it’s lineless. so, just begin by laying down some dark colour. Chisel away at it until there’s a face silhouette in the area not drawn on. soften edges and stuff with crosshatching. It’s a great excercise I think!
It would be also cool to see you guys put the prompts into a AI art generator. I know people hate AI art but there's no harm if it's just a comparison.
Still not sure how I feel about their unabashed use of AI. Just saw somewhere recently how much energy is used for training or just a handful of questions answered, and it ain't good
It is a shame some people think that way. It really neglects all the basic drawing fundamentals that digital artists need to learn to make good pieces of art. Photoshop doesn’t automatically apply colour theory, composition, anatomy etc. it just makes you more efficient 😊 [Alysha]

as a writer I find chat gpt/bard/et al is that the prompts are far too detailed. like it tries to give me most of a scene. I am staring at a blank word doc. give me a madlab that I can let my brain play with don't give me a full scene with a definitive ending. It has promise, but it's not great (yet)
