And one of the members of the Will of D is a giant so how would that work
Xiarn we don’t actually know the history. But the giant said all his clan had the “D” in their name. There could be a missing link we don’t know. Plus a clan isn’t all was a family it could be a tribe or a group of people that live together just like each pirate group. All we know is that it’s been passed on but not if everyone with D is related.
I have an idea for a very cool video: The story of Luffy until now from different viewpoints.
What I mean is this: In several occasions the World Government has put a lid on the acts of Luffy so it would be cool to know how much a random civilian knows, and how much maybe the marines or other pirates know about him.
I know that Tashigi and Smoker are the only ones who know about Luffy defeating Crocodile, and I believe the Gorosei, Doflamingo, and maybe Kong know about Moriah's defeat. Impel Down is probably not known to the general public, maybe those who saw the Marineford footage may have noticed from Luffy's entrance, but most probably don't know. The rest of Luffy's acts I believe are known to the general public.

I want to see Enyru's ego clash with the World Government. Imagine him casually flying to Marigois then anouncing he is god to the Celestrial Dragons. They odviously challenge him then he lightning nukes the city in a way that outdoes even Fisher Tiger's sacking

Joy Boy, could be a nickname for always smiling and laughing. Imagine if he was the ancestor to Luffy and Roger? Each of them just as crazy and excitable.
So I am just a casual viewer who isn't even entirely caught up on One Piece, so take this with a grain of salt and it might be easily, entirely refuted. But what I've always wondered is... do we know for certain that the world was always full of Islands? What if the world used to be full of continents as our world is, but during the Void Century some great war, using the superweapons, fractured the world into the islands we know now. This is just something I've thought for years, and it would be more than sufficient reasoning for the World Government to cover it up so harshly; billions would have been killed and the entire world changed. Again, sorry if this is just stupid :P

I do not believe that is the case. The poneglyphs are spread out on a ton of islands anf they are from the void century. It would be too convenient i think for that to be the case. The world wouldn't split so perfectly from a war that those islands all had the poneglyphs
I think it's the opposite, the world was all islands and the WG made the Red Line to contain it.
Tim Ansley Is it possible the world was shattered, then the remnants of the ancient kingdom made the poneglyphs? Since the void century is an entire century, the fracturing could have happened early on

Here's a thought.
Joyboy was the initial leader/member of Ancient Kingdom. He saw that Merfolks/Fishmen didn't have any sort of a deep relationship with the Ancient Kingdom. He promised to replace the Kingdom and establish a good relationship with them. He built the ark with the help of the Kingdom or somehow else, and promised to use it to migrate the fishmen/merfolk to surface world. But later on, he along with every one of the Ancient Kingdom was killed along with him.
Conversely, it may also be true that Joyboy may have been a spy for World Government in the Ancient Kingdom. And he killed the leader of the kingdom. But later on, he failed to migrate and integrate Fishmen Island to the surface world.
But anyhow he has to have thought of integrating fishmen island to the surface world. He failed to do that and apologized for it by the poneglyph.
The ancient kingdom may also have wanted to destroy red line, and connect all of the oceans. They wanted to do so to create all blue. The twenty kings opposed this because it would have hampered them in some way. Later on the ark will be repaired, Luffy will destroy Red Line and create All blue (Sanji's Dream), and destroy the fishmen island.
When you try to memorize 30 different histories from games to manga at the same time, words like:
"void" "age" "kingdom" "century" "ancient"
They kind of start mixing and I get really confused lol

Am I the only one who thinks that the “great disaster” that the world government is covering up is the reason that the world only has one continent left on it and the rest is islands that seem like scattered debris from a devastating event @tekking101

Your speech about the Marines turning against the world government, that got me thinking.
Now that we know about Imu-sama... can you imagine the whole world, pirates, marines alike, turning against this nigh-omnipotent "deity" in an epic war? What if something of that magnitude is what Whitebeard foreshadowed? The entirety of human civilization working to overthrow their oppressor.
If that happens One Piece will have concluded as the greatest anime of all time.

Maybe that’s why Gol D Roger Hand himself to the Marines after his last journey to Raftel. Maybe he knew that once he found out about the void century and the will of D. The World Government will definitely hunt him down. Of course he had this illness but if the World Government did everything to hide those information, they won’t let Roger live in peace once he found out about the ancient Kingdom. So he sacrifices himself to let everyone search for that one (missing) piece.
one problem; the world government hunting him down wont be much of an issue. he is able to handle himself, and even then his crew could probably fight them off if they ever pester him.

duuuuude this is probably super obvious and most people know this but, the will of D is the will of the people of that kingdom! the Gorosei didnt let Dr Clover say the name of the kingdom because its the same name as what the D initial stands for, or its just called the D kingdom. thats why the D clan is "Gods natural enemy" God being the World Government who basically act like gods. but Raftel also makes a lot of sense, being that the poneglyphs are needed to get there. i think it will combine these two theories

Clover stated that before the World Government was formed, the world was ruled by a Great Kingdom. But they were wiped out by a group that would one day become the World Government.
What if those with the D initials were the rightful leaders of the Great kingdoms and the group that wiped it out which later formed the world government hides that fact. As to why.. why did the group even attack the great kingdom.. Earlier I read that that group that later formed the world government mightve used the great weapons and spread the continents into the many islands we know today

Raftel being the lost civilization makes so much sense since roger knew the while story of the pone glyphs once he arrived there. I personally feel that the name of the kingdom itself which was on raftel might start with a D therefore making the will of D. the will of that lost kingdom itself.

I think that the ancient kingdom is the Kingdom of the Pirates, that would make Luffy the guy who not only get a title, and one piece, but also his kingdom, also that would be why World Goverment can't let anyone to knowleghe of that Kingdom name.

Dude I just wanna say when I'm waiting patiently for new chapters I come to your channel to converse ideas and theories and overall I just enjoy myself laugh smile or get mind blown sharing our love for our favorite story in the world. Oh yes as a history buff I NEED to know what could have possibly happened during the Void Century.
Oh also I have my own theory about the connection between The Void Century and The Will of D/The D Clan. Before the Void Century, before the World Government existed, there were 21 families that ruled the world. The family that was considered King or Ruler? The D Clan. The other 20 families each had their own representative that acted as an advisor to the King/Ruler. These 20 advisors were tired of not having real power or influence. These 20 families united together and rebelled against the D Clan and during the time of the Void Century, fought against the D Clan in a bloody war. The losers in this war were those of the D Clan. However, those who survived had children and hid these children away from the World Government knowing that the children would one day get revenge. The 20 families then united under one banner/flag. This came to be what is known as the World Government.

I'm still annoyed that Robin never saw the poneglyph that Luffy Zoro and Chopper found before we knew what they were in the sand pit before they reached the city (when they got lost in the dessert). It is never addressed there were 2 at Alabasta when I don't think there were 2 anywhere else (even in Big Mom's collection) WHAT WAS IT?
That was a filler episode. It was meant as foreshadowing for the poneglygh in alabasta but I guess they didnt realize how important it was gonna be in the overall series.

Let's say the ancient Kingdom was Stronger than the WG but the WG fought back against them with guerrilla tactics while there was a clan(or multiple) that ripped the country apart from the inside so the GM can invade them when they are weaken and the remaining Clans(Let's say the D. Clan) requested the making of the poneglyph so the future Generation could revenge them and save the world.

What you said about the Romans dose make since considering that the library of Alexandrea was destroyed by a rival nation that feared the knowledge held there. So it is easy to see the similarities. It also sucks that with all that knowledge lost it set humanity back quite a bit.
The library of Alexandria contained mostly plays, history and other stories. Destroying one library wouldn't set a country the size of Rome back, at least not technological, militaristic or governmental.
Alexandrea took in vast amounts of knowledge that where more then just plays, history and stories. To this day there are many things we have discovered ancient civilizations crated that we cannot understand. The materials they used to make their structures last for as long as they have, let alone how they moves such vast amounts such long distances.
Point is there is a lot that humanity has forgotten about in our history because of the rite of conquest. History is written by the victors.

The loss of those things is a slow process of both destroyed writings and not writing it down again. The day the Great Library was destroyed, we lost more humanity than that humanity itself had lost.

Yo Tekking not related to the video but more on Blackbeard. I saw a theory on a UA-cam comment saying something interesting about Wapol and BlackBeard. Wapols fruit the Baku Baku can eat and sometimes combine what he’s eaten into something else. Then we hear that BlackBeard went to Drum Island. But knowing BlackBeard he never does anything without any real reason behind it. So don’t you think BlackBeard and Wapol did something using the Baku Baku to give him that body luffy and Zoro noticed that was strange. However something that can debunk this is how Marco knew BB wasn’t normal even on WB’s ship

@@rishabhsharma3545 it's the same deal with black blades, yoru was probably a normal sword until mihawk used so much haki on it that the haki coated the blade of the sword and made it a black blade, same could've been done with the poneglyphs(idk if that's how u write it)
I think the Ancient Kingdom used 2/3 of the Ancient Weapons to create the Calm Belt. The Calm Belt seems so artificial, with it‘s hundreds of thousand of Sea Kings and no wind that my guess would be that Uranus has to do something with wind.
That might have threatend the 20 Kingdoms and Pluton wasn‘t good either. Ever wondered how Pluton suddenly is somewhere located in Alabasta, eventhough Alabasta is one of the 20 Kingdoms, but odly didn‘t go to Mary Joa after the war?
Something fishy is going on there.
And so far all of the allies of the AK are located on the Grand Line... maybe the 20 Kingdoms even did attack the Ancient Kingdoms because they had better technologie or something and the AK tried to protect themselves by creating the Calm Belt. Also Sea Prism Stone seems odly rare, implying that the WG has no idea how to craft new one, meaning it might be a remnant of the AK, again playing into the AK creating the Calm Belt and they would be the only ones capable of crossing it safely.
Too many misteries...
And I have no idea how Alabasta plays into this whole thing :-/
In addition the trigger might have been Devil Fruits. I mean they have an odd name. The name implies they grew on a Devil Tree and since DF can be kinda recreated by Vegapunk/Ceasar the first Devil Tree(s) were created by someone as well. And who on earth would name his creatings evil or even devil-something. So i guess since the WG doesn‘t want people to be DF users (because those things are damn dangerous) they gave it the name Devil fruits, therefore the WG didn‘t create them and since it requieres a lot of technologie to do so the most likely creator was the AK.
I can imagine that this original Devil Tree was located in Mary Joa or on Raftel. We can safely assume that the tree was destroyed or at least can‘t produce new DF since a complete list of DF that are in circulatiom exist (my guess would be that it‘s destroyed and before it‘s destruction a DF regrew on the tree and not the nearest fruit became a DF when a user died).

Random thought, what if the ancient kingdom was Marijoa? Rather then there being some island out there with the ruins of the kingdom's great city, the WG just moved into their defeated enemies home after winning the war.
I believe that the Great Kingdom was in laugh tale and now it's in ruins. I also believe that the kingdom's name was Mariejois and The WG took that name.

I think the antient kingdom is related to the D clan which is why the world government is so iffy about it. If people know people of the D clan were able to prosper more than the world government that could cause some problems.

The best Real-Life example of this is the Antikythera mechanism. It is a kinda computing machine working with gears, and functioning like a planetary clock. It is so much ahead of it's time, it is estimated to be build around the time of the ancient greeks and from our perspective technology like that would at least be possibly in the 18th century.
