I want to remind everyone that when Ace was dying, he said that he doesn't regret anything, besides not seeing Luffy accomplish his dream, which is interesting because we thought he meant Luffy being pirate king but he was talking about Luffy's other/real dream, that's crazy.
This gets much more interesting when you realise that he wanted Whitebeard to become the Pirate King, but also wanted to see Luffy accomplish his dream
There are even more connections to the number 16 that you missed. On Enel’s cover story on the moon, he finds a mural that seems to depict the 3 ancient weapons. The part that should be Uranus is a 16-pointed sun. The other main connection is that “Imu” can be read as 16 in Kanji.
You’re totally right! I recently re read that cover story. Skypiea is best One Piece Arc and Enel is best villain! He better come back during The Final War with his robot Tontatta army 😤
someone also pointed a panel of a citizen crying that his sons got killed for crossing a celestial dragon who shot them 16 times. And when luffy rang the bell, rayleigh told him to do it 16 times.
The shading on Sabo's face was coming from the side which implies he wasn't on the island but instead on a boat next to the island. Everyone else was directly under the light.
Something else to mention is that this may actually recontextualize Tequila Wolf a bit. Maybe the island they were originally building toward got wiped out by Uranus, and then they just kept building past it because all evidence of the island's existence was erased.
xD That would be hilariously dark if they went past it and kept building and building. I kinda wish the construction didn't end and they receded their destination
Imu strikes me as the type of person who only gets involved when they absolutely need to. No point in being a shadow dictator when you're always involved. Imu probably spends most of their time chilling out in Pangea Castle or somewhere on the Red Line, probably somewhere isolated from the rest of the world. I also like the think that the other Celestial Dragons but don't speak his name to commoners because Imu will kill them if they do.
But without a purpose of a goal you get really bored after just 1 week. I spent 2 years unemployed trying to get a job and was fucking devastated. There's a reason why rich people are so decadent.
Perhaps Imu lives a normal life outside of mariejois every now and then but gets involved in certain timeframes in history when certain individuals or people need to be purged cuz him/her hiding away in the flower room 99% of the time sounds boring
@@dudeistpreist5721 would love to see if we get to explore im psychology, i mean even if you have anything in the world if u get isolated for literally 800+ years you would probably go nuts
This also implies that the Fishman Island is not under Marijeois out of pure chance, but out of desperation. It's the only place in the world where Im can't nuke them without nuking themselves. And this also implies that there used to be more races like the Lunarians in the one piece world, but they got nuked to make way for the humans. The minks probably only survived because they kept moving around so Im couldn't point to them on a map. And maybe Skypieans survived because they're so high up in the air so Im can't reach them?
There's a lot more races than that, though. I don't think it's race based. It's just that the WG want to control everything in their reach, humans and fishmen alike.
Im Sama in this chapter, Blackbeard in the last one, Shanks in the one prior (not to mention Buggy's crew)... all strong contenders for the final Villain, the final arc might just be a battle royale between them all

I feel the potential connection between Doffy's last attack and whatever was used to destroy Lulusia(potentially weapon Uranos) is super insightful. It would make a ton of sense for Doffy to model his best attack after the Celestial Dragons' best attack. This fits really well imo
I also wanna point out that Doffy implied the World Government had "some amazing treasure" that would've made him incredibly powerful if he had the immortal surgery done on him at the time. So it's likely that Uranos drains lifespan to use or something.
Maybe that is the reason why Imu cannot just obliterate countries that revolt againts WG, it is because the cooling down. Maybe Im once used it to destroy God Valley, but because of the life draining situation, she grew old and need someone to inject life on her (ope ope no mi youth surgery) After using this power to destroy Lulucia, maybe Im sends all power to take Law. She needs another surgery. When luffy knows that law has been taken, OMG, that will start the final war
I’m assuming that The WG is wiping out The 8 Rebelling Kingdoms and Lulusia Kingdom just happened to be the first one they were targeting. That’s why The Gorusei said he was unlucky.
At least the second one they were targeting. The first one was Alabasta, although it was "targeted" in a different manner. They won't necessarily all be lasered. Also, a more serious attack on Wano is bound to happen, once they're done with these 8.
@@sinancothebest I mean, they were rebelling very recently, yes. But it's not important. They're targeting those 8 Kingdoms ruled by those 8 dynasties that decided not to become Celestial Dragons and to live among normal people.
One thing I find interesting are the connections between Im and Doflamingo. For example in chapter 782 we see Doflamingo standing on top a mountain of garbage, with his executives kneeling down at him, the paneling is very similar to the scene in chapter 908, where the Gorosei kneel before Im. Plus Doflamingo has his “16 holly bullets” attack, which is the same number of lasers Im used to destroy Lulusia.
(Chapter 1060) There is 16 beams destroying the island. (Chapter 790) Doflamingo final attack is the 16 holy bullets. (Chapter 763) Celestial Dragons shoots people who cross their path 16 times. (Chapter 704) Luffy number on the tournment is 0556. If you add the numbers is 16. (Chapter 594) Rayleigh gave the idea to Luffy to go back in Marineford and ring the bell 16 times. (Chapter 472) Enel cover story possibily shows the 3 ancient weapons. the "sun" have 16 rays. One Piece volume 16 is called "Inherited Will" Imu. i-chi is 1, mu-tsu is 6. Chapter 1060. Remove the 0s. 16.
Ive been without power since yesterday because of the hurricane fiona down here in PR and i have to admit using a bit of the battery life for watching you tekking makes these moments a bit better
Imu legit got fed up with the Gorosei and the Marine's incompetence. Since the government possibly has Uranus, I want to see a power showcase between Pluton and Uranus in the future.
@@eliaspanayi3465 Do you have ideas about their special attacks? My thoughts right now are: Pluton: Buster Cannon Uranus: Blaze Luminous Barrage? 16 Holy Deathbeams?

The crossing out the name of the kingdom in the map could probably have been just for dramatic purpose... a way to show that it was Imu's immediate order that destroyed the kingdom... a direct order from him that was "as simple" as crossing it out on a map to destroy a full country... Something similar to common villains in any movie "directing like an orchestra" or looking at a screen... stuff like that... while overlooking how their orders "control" what happens... Not saying that there is no chance a mental link is required... but i don't think the dramatic show of power Oda was making with the use of that weapon was meant to imply a mental link...
Back in Enies Lobby Robin noted that the buster call uncaringly wipes entire islands off the map as if it were a casual thing. It seems to me that this is meant to imply something similar. For Im wiping an island and country from existence as simple as crossing it off of a map.
No. Sabo isn’t dead because it would be an absolute waste of a fake-out death, followed by memory loss, followed by living, training and working with Luffy’s dad, followed by regaining the memory, followed by eating Ace’s devil fruit, followed by the Vivi situation, followed by him finding out that the “empty throne” isn’t empty.
Craziest part about the Bege moment was- next time we see him- he’s fine. He doesn’t mention losing crew, his working with big mom, no mentions about that incident whatsoever
A war involving these three weapons kind of makes you wonder if during the Void Century there was a whole lot more land and it was just split up by the weapons. I'd also be interested to see a map in Pangaea Castle that has like 80 island crossed out and Nami commenting that she's never seen any of these island on any other map before.
I Heard This In GrandlineReview's Review 1060 And After Rereading The Chapter I Agree With Him. Sabo Probably Wasn't On The Island. The Lulusians Were Looking Up At Uranos As It Fired Sabo Was Looking To His Side. So He Probably Witnessed The Destruction Of Lulusia But Wasn't Hit.
i agree with you, i even think Jewelry Bonney was with him at that moment ands the explosion made her flew away ands got stuck in the currents to ends up in the endy where strawhats are
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Cave Drawings Enel saw with the floating ship, depicting what people are assuming the 3 weapons - the 16-point circle being Uranus just used by the WG. Also, what if the 3 weapons actually represent the 3 types of Devil Fruits?
in that case i'd guess Poseidon would be Paramecia, given that the ability to communicate with sea kings is an ability that doesnt fall under either Zoan or Logia (unless we wanna make Shirahoshi's large size be attributed to a Zoan type ability.) that leaves Zoan and Logia. we know that Pluton is a large warship, given that a ship is pretty useless unless it has a given form for people to stand on perhaps its a zoan of some kind. perhaps mythical? and that leaves Logia. which is what likely was used for destroying the island of the latest chapter. i was thinking plasma or some other energy type with high potency. its an interesting theory to be sure.
Uranus could be that ship! This got me thinking about the void century. During this time period Uranus was used to erase a lot of kingdom and while this is going on very few king meetings or none took place
For every Empire that has lasted a thousand years, there have been like three others that only lasted a couple hundred or less. Needless to say, for any power to last for 800 years is a feat.
Ohh I love the idea about the strongest conqueror's being able to override someone's will, or "brainwash" them. That would definitely add another layer to Imu's power, and could make confronting Imu super interesting. I love this idea, and the idea that it this power could belong to Imu. Awesome vid. Insightful
My theory about this weapon comes from teh specific phrasing of the Gorosei. They said that Sabo was "Unlucky" for being exactly in that Kingdom. One can think "Oh, so they were going to already use it on that island because it was rebelling!" but that doesn't make sense for me. A Buster Call and that would be over. Or they could simply deal with that place normally. There is no reason for bringing the Space Laser for a mere Rebellion. So, what I think, is that Sabo was "Unlucky" because that kingdom is one of the palces where that laser beam (Let's call it Uranus), can work. It is NOT something that can be aimed anywhere whenever Im wants, it has SPECIFIC places where it can be used. But what are this specific places? They are the allied nations of the World Government. I think that when the World Government was formed, a specific "Beacon" was sent and planted in each of the kingdoms that formed it. This way, if they got out of line for some reason, Uranus could be brought to rain on top of them, erasing that kingdom from the world. The "Beacon" per se would be very big and clunky, so planting it somewhere would be no easy feat, makign installing it on enemy territory VERY hard, so they CAN'T use the weapon in places like Kamabakka Kingdom to erase the Revolutionary Army. And then that left me thinking "Wait, but we say how Uranus flew on top of the Lulusia Kingdom, why would it need a Beacon to shoot right down?". So then I thought that maybe it isn't simply a "Beacon", but a 2 Parts System. The Giant Aerial Fortress Uranus in the sky, and a second part installed on the ground. When Uranus is going to shoot, it's not that it shoots laser in a specific direction, but that the Lasers are generated in between both parts from a system where the energy flows from one to another. The Top part can be moved around freely while the Bottom part has to be installed in the ground, so by placing the Top part in a flying carrier they can make it work with a single one of them, while they install one of the Bottom everywhere where they might need it later. So, Sabo was "Unlucky" because he arrives at one of the Kingdoms that possessed one of the Bottom Parts of Uranus. If he had arrived in, let's say, Wano, or a Sky Island, or any Island that hasn't been absorbed by the World Government, they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Maybe that's also why they couldn't use it against the Yonkou. Kaidou was in Wano, Teach in that island that appears to have been a nest of Pirates and criminals since forever, Shanks is always on the move, and Big Mom may have created her own island out of nowhere XD. Anyways, this is my theory of how Uranus works.
Here's a thought I had while reading the chapter: if Ouranos is truly the Orbital Death Laser (ODL) then each of the sacred weapons not only supposedly have the power to destroy entire islands, but also are a check and balance with each other. Ouranos as a floating ODL never has to worry about the sea kings under Poseidon's control and can annihilate them at any distance. Poseidon can command every sea king in existence, meaning a warship would be very vulnerable to attack from them. And pluton, as a powerful warship, would have the artillery necessary to destroy Ouranos from a distance before the ODL can get into position to fire onto them.
It's possible Pluton is extremely heavily armoured, and even a Orbital Death Laser doesn't destroy it but one can disable it if you have the ability to drag it underwater.
Speaking of Im’s eyes, one really obvious thing I noticed was how similar Im’s eyes are to Mihawk’s, both of them have that ring in their iris, also, in the coloured pages of the manga Mihawks eyes are coloured red like Im’s too (admittedly I think the yellow colour of the anime looks cooler). I’m not saying that there is 100 percent a connection between Im and Mihawk, but given how important Mihawk’s eyes are, they’re the trait that give him his most widely used epithet (besides Strongest Swordsman in the World of course), having him share eye shape (and colour in the manga) with someone as monumentally important as Im seems noteworthy.
Honestly i think the reason a buster call wasn't designated for lulucia was simply because they wanted to erase them from history and existence. Everyone knew about ohara and the world gov seemed to want to make it clear to the world of their existence in a way of using them as an example. If you try to find out about the void century and the past then you get eradicated, sort of deal. Versus lulucia which, for whatever reason, they wanted erased from history, they couldn't simply send a buster call and let the world be aware of their existence
About a "human element" being needed to control the Ancient Weapons: I am like 80% sure that in the German dub, the World Government wanted Nico Robin not just because of her ability to read Poneglyphs. She was said to be the only one able to control it due to her Devil Fruit. It's never brought up in the manga and I doubt it's even in the English dub. Just something that stuck in my head from way back in the day.
They claimed that she would be able to "awaken" this weapon which at the time I thought simply meant along with Crocodile searching for it that there was a working version of it already in the world. It is possible that there is a process necessary with activating and actually using these weapons so that not just anyone can stumble across and use them.
"dragon, the government is lying and theres someone secret sitting on the empty throne!" - Call disconnected - "Attention everyone, this call never happened and the island you were watching never existed" Ok i get the soldiers there must be used to doing some shady stuff, but how does that NOT raise mega suspicions with everyone listening in. The exact moment he said there was a secret king suddenly the call cuts out, the island "mysteriously vanishes" and you're basically told to forget the information or die...
Some people would assume Sabo was lying, some of them would assume that the world government just removed him as a threat and so it is not important, and others might believe that it is none of their business. Just three possibilities out of many.
this power could be a good reason on the ancient kingdom being wiped from history and how many islands get stomped out due to rebellion with wano and possibly elbaf we get the hidden history lost to time so thats gonna be fun to unpack
This would help to explain why so much of the pervious history before the Void Century is gone. I do wonder something though; I recall looking at the god valley incident out of chance on the One Piece wiki. It seemed to indicate that at some point after that occurrence, the island where this incident took place on disappeared and can now no longer be found on any maps. I find myself wondering if that is mere coincidence.
@@ivanbluecool I meant that it is possible (not confirmed by any means but possible) that the island where the god valley incident was destroyed somehow following that event. Rocks apparently had a tendency to try and learn about knowledge that the world government deemed forbidden and he wanted to be the king of the world which would mean usurping Im (whether or not he knew about him is as of yet unclear). In the case of Laugh Tale I think it is similar to a game I once played where a path to a location only opens with the right map or knowledge. In this game to progress past a certain point I needed to find a cave and get a map from the ghost of its owner (made more complicated given that the location was not stated, implied, or found by exploring new territory. Unless you know where it is on the map you have to stumble across it). Once I got the map it was identical to the world map with one difference; A set of rocks previously shown to form an X in the sea had a golden line going to an inaccessible (at that point) island. Upon reaching the rock a golden line was formed to the island which allows access to it. I think Laugh Tale might be something similar, but don't quote me.

Sabo is alive (traumatized) and being an logia could've given him a second to save just a handful of civilians. Immediately thought of any near by islands that saw that or the other kings who just saw seki like a month ago.
Tekking you shouldn’t second guess yourself about Im being from another planet. I’m convinced Im is the last survivor of the people of the moon that invaded during the void century. The cover story of Enel finding the wall paintings on the moon (Chp 472) seem to depict a battle of the moon people using Uranus and the Lunarians/Skypieans using Pluton and Poseidon. So I’m convinced that Im is the last survivor of these people of the moon. What’s interesting is the design of the celestial dragons, they appear to be wearing something similar to space suits and a helmet. Now I know in the context of the story they wear these helmets to not breathe the same air as normal people. What if that’s not the whole story ? What if they are descendants of the moon people also ? It could be where the moon people were forced to breed with humans to carry on their lineage. Im May be the last pure blood person of the moon. How they have survived so long and the others didn’t I don’t know yet.. Celestial also refers to outer space. This could be why the void century was wiped is they don’t want anyone to know that the world was actually invaded , and conquered. The people of the moon seated themselves as the rulers , and it was wiped from record. That might also be why Im is such a closely guarded secret, imagine if Im’s appearance isn’t human. Also another thing is The Dawn , The dawn only comes when the moon sets. The Moon rises then sets , and then comes the dawn. So the dawn might be a metaphor for the moon people rising to power , and only once they fall can the dawn of the new world be ushered in.
The whole Gorosei thing seems to be inspired on the secret elite society of the real world and the Illuminati, so I think it wouldn't be so crazy to theorize that Im is a sort of lizard-person.
Any chance royal blood is required to work the ancient weapons? Ancient weapons of an ancient kingdom may have been reserved for the exclusive use of their royalty.
What happened really made me think of Eners "raigo" technique. The one he used to destroy a sky island. I'm not saying Ener works for Im, I think that what Im used was a Ancient Weapon, probably Uranos, since the attack came from the sky. And I think that Ark Maxim was probably either a mini Uranos or straight up a copy of it.
That thing you mentioned about the number 23 is called the frequency illusion, also called the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon. It's one of the main ways people get into conspiracy theories. But within One Piece it makes perfect sense because Oda intentionally adds these details in for us to turn into the Charlie Day red string on the wall meme. Lol
Just thinking out loud: if every ancient weapon needs a certain person to activate it (like Shirahoshi for the sea kings and maybe even Momo for Pluton), could it be possible that the person that activated Uranus isn’t actually Imu but Vivi? Maybe every few hundred years a princess of the Alabasta kingdom has this special power and that’s why Imu chose Vivi instead of the people in the pictures they sliced up. It would be weird if the ancient weapons aren’t at least comparable in power, and if the mermaid princess that can control sea kings is only born every few hundred years, but Uranus can be used all the time, this would make Uranus SO much more powerful than Poseidon. If the “light that should be extinguished” was indeed Lulusia, then it would make sense that Imu needed Vivi for that first, so they captured her and somehow got her to activate the weapon. OR even more likely, what if Imu was the princess of Alabasta in the void century and the key to unlock Uranus? She was originally friends with Joyboy, but betrayed him (I mean Alabasta WAS one of the founding members of the WG) and then she was made immortal by a previous user of the Ope Ope no Mi. And now after 800 years a new person has been born with the power to control Uranus - Vivi! - and that’s why Im chose her picture during the Reverie: to order her assassination.
@@RyanYoxo Pluto was in Alabasta, which is true, but it had nothing to do with Vivi herself. And Pluto wasn’t even in Alabasta, the poneglyph there simply described its location, which is Wano. To be fair though, there aren’t a lot of clues connecting Vivi to Uranus either.
I remember crocodile said something about pluton. He said pluton can destroy an island from far away. What if Pluton already fall in the hand of WG. The pluton in wano is gone and oda never show it to us.
The theory I have about why they didn't use the ancient weapon before is that it required Vivi to work and since they kidnapped her during the reverie they can now use it.
@@squilliamfancyson1080 yeah, maybe I'm just finding causality in the disappearance of Vivi, the interest Imu had in her photo, and the sudden appearance of a new weapon. And that would follow the line of princess/Shogun the mugiwaras met that are in control of or has access to an ancient weapon.
Great point about not buster calling Lulusia. I hadn't thought about that. I think not wanting to cause more rebellion is insightful. I also kind of felt like there was urgency to destroying Lulusia
Uranos prssents a funny reason why the Celestial Dragons don't really mess with Fishman Island The Celestial Dragons, and Im's throne, live right above it. They'd have to shoot themselves before the Fishmen. Even better? I think I have an idea of how Luffy destroys Fishman Island... if the prophecy hasn't been averted at least. Luffy probably sets off Uranus on Mary Geoise.
Again great job Matt, this weapon really reminded me of the flying island in "Laputa" the movie was an inspiration for one piece, and near the end the island shoots a massive laser which causes something similar to a nuke. Keep up the good work and happy 700K subs.
So, the one piece planet has multiple moons right? I have a theory that uranus is a full moon base that was retrofitted during or before the void century to become a mobile low orbit cannon. Like wouldn't that be so awesome if the government just straight up had the death star from star wars
I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet but hypothetically couldn't Luffy bounce the giant death laser back? 🤔 Might explain why the WG wants his DF so much...
This also explains why the Lode Poneglyphs were hidden either under the sea, behind tall walls, and on a tall moving elephant. Possibly also why Shandora fell to the World Government, but its gold was untouched.
I don’t believe shandora fell to the World govt. it’s entire story revolves around shadora standing strong after all this time. Defending the fire 🔥 of shandora the golden bell . Which maybe another metaphor to joyboy the sun god nikka. Shandora fell to nature/time. It was the knock up stream that pushed the shandora to the White Sea. The change in air pressure weakened their ability to defend their homeland. Where the city location and the song of the island became lost. The surving shandorans forced to live on a level below their very home. Leading to a civil war among the skypians and the shangorians that lasted 400 years. Foward to luffy once again lighting the fire of shandora letting the world known that it’s still there it has not fallen.
@@brawl8 No, Shandora was explicitly destroyed by "an enemy" while defending a poneglyph. _The_ Poneglyph that says where Poseidon is located, if I recall. Kalgura told Noland this when he showed him the bell.
@@psychronia I’ll need to re watch and re read. The way it was mentioned they fell in battle but are still standing strong defending their home and the message their glyph carriers. Signifying they haven’t lost and still standing ready to fight. Which goes back to the original point. Shandora wasn’t destroyed by the world govt. it’s still standing. What truly almost defeated them was time and nature .
That might be the form she takes to escape, she used the old lady form at the reverie. I honestly believe she may be from the old era, why does akainu want to capture her so badly?
It's not like sea water nullifies devil fruit ability completely. It just makes the user weak and unable to swim. Once she ages someone she probably needs to consciously get them back to normal including herself. Yeah some users like Sugar and Moria get their ability nullified when they are unconscious but not all devil fruit works the same. Like Boa said, even if she died the one turned to stone won't change back to normal.
One thing about Sabo is he seems to be looking diagonally and not upward so there's probability that he's not on the island yet. You can see that the back side of his hat has shadows.
I wonder if Uranus was actually the one who was in the egg on Roger's boat and was an actual dragon that can move an island with its flame clouds. And that the island that it is suppose to be able to move could be the one we see destroying Lulusia. And that island has the ability to absorb air and shoot it out like a giant version of the breath dial or wind dial. However, the world government might not actually have control of the actual Uranus but a version cloned by Vegapunk or maybe by someone before him. That might be why they were performing experiments on Kaido to perfect the Uranus dragon and/or their ability to move the giant island with their flame clouds.
I have a theory. What if, in the last chapter of One Piece, the Strawhats was near of the Lulucia Kingdom territory? I mean, they saw a huge blob of water caused by an huge heat. Heat comming from that nuke. What if Bonney is one of the survivor ? And this lend to the retrieval of Sabo and the encounter of Dragon and Luffy ? I think this will happen soon enough .
I can see Fujitora, is just going to be like oh I’m just done that’s it I’m helping the strawhats he’s nika huh then he’s got my prayers farewell cursed world government.
Given the power that we saw in the last chapter (1059), couldn't the lasers come from the Seraphim. Going with what Doflamingo said, the WG could have made the Seraphim the '16 holy bullets'. I see this as the progression of the buster call to the next stage.
Okay but if the Seraphim are modeled to have the appearance of the former Warlords as kids then, I don't think the 16 Holy Bullets idea would stand up, because I don't think there are enough. The warlords until now were: Boa Hancock Mihawk BlackBeard Kuma Gecko Doflamingo Jimbe Wevill Law Buggy Crocodile And I think those are it. Granted there could have been warlords before the start of the story that we don't know about, but right now we only have 11 bullets out the 16
@@tiagoferreira234 If we had to make a connection with 16 (which i think is nonsense) then the remaining 5 could be the admirals, it doesn't have to be warlords only, and the pacifista did have Kizarus Lazer, so there was already a connection.
@@tiagoferreira234 The 16 can be anyone who has been in captivity and not just the warlords. I imagine Kaido and King could also be members as they were captured by the WG. The number 16 is Oda hinting at a connection to something in lore that we do not know yet
Embodying different types of Haki is interesting, especially if you buy into the theory that the grim reaper zoro saw was Pluton's klabauterman -- here's a master of armament haki declaring that he's the king of hell, and who shows up? Pluton's spirit
The planet one piece is based in is called "earth", roger says this during his monologue walking up to the execution platform "fate, destiny, dreams. So long as there are people who seek freedom in this life. These things shall not vanish from the earth "
The weapon used could connect to the seraphim’s with the WG potentially not wanting dofalmingo to be made into one. There’s the idea of Genetic memory, certain memories can be kept in genetic code and passed to next generations or in this case clones, that could lead to the accidental release of their secrets.
Personally, one thing we can assume is there's some limit on what can be done. Otherwise they would attack Dragon and the Revolutionary Army already. So some things can stop it.
over the past 800 years how many islands and native people did the W.G. wipe out all over the world??? one piece world must have looked so much different in the past if you imagine they may have done. WOW
Remember: Ace could save Luffy from a flame explosion at marine ford by shielding him with his own flames. Theres a good chance Sabo could protect some people too
It’s funny because in one episode Brian makes a joke that Peter has his own gravitational pull and proceeds to throw an apple that orbits around Peters head.
My Theory is that Uranus was owned by the WG and the D clan was having Pluton built to shoot down Uranus and thats why they wanted to see the blueprints to see if the ship really could have had the ability to shoot down Uranus
You know what would be funny, if Im turns out to just act gracefully in front of the Five Elders, but is secretly a childish goofball. I don’t know why but I’ve always liked the powerful yet childish archetype.
I was watching pirate of the Caribbean at worlds end on saturday when I realized that kuma is a reference to Bartholomew & morgan the creators of the pirate code. The "bible" kuma always has on him is the book of the pirate code. Makes sense if you think about it.
@Tekking101 if you look at the art of Sabo's panel, you'll see the "light" is off to his side not directly above him like the others in Lulucia - so I think its safe to say thay Sabo is on a ship near the Lulucia kingdom
I like to think Toki traveled from the void century because she was on a mission to awaken Pluton. I also believe the only people who can use ancient weapons are people with the voice of all things. This means Momo and Shirahoshi can both use their nations respected ancient weapons to aid Luffy in taking out the Celestial Dragons.
I always thought this was already kinda stablished, but it seems to be that all ancient weapons have a power, and a trigger. I think theres a video which theorizes that there are 3 components of an ancient weapon, but i will stay with only 2. With poseidon, you need the power (big sea kings) and shirahoshi (which is the reincarnation of the void centurys poseidon) to control it. With pluton you need the power (the battleship) and momonosuke (which is probably the reincarnation of someone of the void century) to control it. And lastly, with uranus you need the power (the fcking death star) and im (which is probably the original user) to control it. Now, with reincarnation i dont mean they are the same person, but rather someone who has the same will and probably something involving fate. With this being said, there are a lot more of questions and theories i will mention commenting this post
First, it is interesting that they all seem to be artificially made except for poseidon. The death star and the battleship are manmade while the sea kings probably arent (which you can argue that u need noah and the noah is manmade)
How can they control the ancient weapons? My bet is by using the voice of all things. They need to have that power and each individual has some sort of link which their respective ancient weapon. But then, if this is true, why would they keep plutons blueprints in water 7? Bcause anyone could control it and they were scared that it could be in possession of someone really bad? Or were they scared that the kozukis reincarnation would abuse of that power? And if thats the cause, the blueprints would not help because you cant use pluton. So atleast to me, it seems that the only ancient weapon which is restricted to only 1 user is poseidon.
Now these raises more questions about the void century. Asumming im is from the void century, wth happened? Like after seeing how the nefertari family is, i doubt the original celestial dragons were bad people. Even in the present line, they arent that bad. Its just that they dont know better and they are being teach to be this way. But there have been some cases of celestial dragons changing for better even in these conditions (like st carlos, mingos father, nefertari, etc). So they are rather being controlled and influenced by im. So after whatever happened in the void century, the original plan was to free everyone, not having a ruler and avoid using the ancient weapons again. So they deleted that war from history and tried to hide those weapons. But im got the immortal operation donde and she (i always assumed she was a women for some reason) got greedy with all the power, so she made all the other celestial dragon stupid and greedy and started to control everything after the original celestial dragons died so no one would notice. Im not sure if even the gorosei know the original story or im told them that she was always meant to be the ruler when that wasnt what the original celestial dragons wanted. So with all the information about what really happened in the void century, with an ancient weapon, and with an immortal operation, im was set to be the dictator for a long time.
My last theory with nothing to do about this, is that the original joyboy was actually a girl. I always imagined the original joyboy as a young boy around 15-23 years and not old as all the fanarts, but even though i dont really think this is the case, i thought it would be a good twist if the original joyboy was a girl (around the same age i mentioned before).

Omg that's possible 😳
Maybe Imu's existence is the secret the World Nobles tried to kill Doflamingo for, and the reason he later became a Warlord.
Perhaps Imu lives a normal life outside of mariejois every now and then but gets involved in certain timeframes in history when certain individuals or people need to be purged cuz him/her hiding away in the flower room 99% of the time sounds boring

Im & Gorosei never speka about race. Gorosei always speak about Control
The sky islands move as well, so it's more than just being high up.

I also wanna point out that Doffy implied the World Government had "some amazing treasure" that would've made him incredibly powerful if he had the immortal surgery done on him at the time. So it's likely that Uranos drains lifespan to use or something.

One thing I find interesting are the connections between Im and Doflamingo. For example in chapter 782 we see Doflamingo standing on top a mountain of garbage, with his executives kneeling down at him, the paneling is very similar to the scene in chapter 908, where the Gorosei kneel before Im.
You're right.
This is the "Kakyoin used to have painting powers" myth all over again.
Back in Enies Lobby Robin noted that the buster call uncaringly wipes entire islands off the map as if it were a casual thing. It seems to me that this is meant to imply something similar. For Im wiping an island and country from existence as simple as crossing it off of a map.

I can't believe you mentioned Eneru and didn't hypothesize (or even joke) about Im's weapon possibly being Eneru.

That would make sense
For every Empire that has lasted a thousand years, there have been like three others that only lasted a couple hundred or less. Needless to say, for any power to last for 800 years is a feat.
I bet the ancient weapons have a rock, paper, scissors relationship like Uranus > Poseidon > Pluton > Uranus.
This is one of the best intros tekking has ever made, this is why I love him so much, congrats on 700K subscribers on youtube
Great Theory, makes sense
Maybe Oda will do something simpler but this would be awesome
That pluton one is a stretch ngl
It's possible Pluton is extremely heavily armoured, and even a Orbital Death Laser doesn't destroy it but one can disable it if you have the ability to drag it underwater.
The question I had is less "why didn't they buster call Lulucia" and more "why didn't they use whatever they just used on Ohara"
Ohara is remembered as an example to the world. In this chapter it seems they are really trying to erase the existence of lulusia
I don’t know why but I kind of feel like you control the ancient weapons with the voice of all things
Glad you liked the monkey facts intro! Can't wait to work on next one. I already got a tune planned out!
Can’t wait until we find out that Imu’s final attack is him just rapping over a sick beat, called 16 Bars
🤡

Ok i get the soldiers there must be used to doing some shady stuff, but how does that NOT raise mega suspicions with everyone listening in.
Just three possibilities out of many.

with wano and possibly elbaf we get the hidden history lost to time so thats gonna be fun to unpack
@@jamesvach6698 yeah and why laugh tale is still around as it won't appear without the 4 road ponaglyths as well.

KING LMAOOO YOUR HANK HILL IMPRESSION IS HILARIOUS, we need MORE
Tekking you shouldn’t second guess yourself about Im being from another planet.

Congrats on 700K Matt!
All i can think of is yhwach Bach, when he nukes the soul society especially since the colors are blue for the Imu, calculated hit on the island.
Vivis ark was about pluton tho
@@RyanYoxo Pluto was in Alabasta, which is true, but it had nothing to do with Vivi herself. And Pluto wasn’t even in Alabasta, the poneglyph there simply described its location, which is Wano. To be fair though, there aren’t a lot of clues connecting Vivi to Uranus either.
Shirahoski is the weapon itself…
@@flusel4949 alabasta is linked to pluton then which links to vivi… not Uranus
I remember crocodile said something about pluton. He said pluton can destroy an island from far away. What if Pluton already fall in the hand of WG. The pluton in wano is gone and oda never show it to us.
A warship can nuke from far away he didn’t say it can nuke from anywhere including the sky.
The theory I have about why they didn't use the ancient weapon before is that it required Vivi to work and since they kidnapped her during the reverie they can now use it.
Interesting theory but if Vivi was that important the WG probably would have sent CP0 or CP9 to kidnap her a long time ago.
@@franciscocavalli3112 doesn't make any sens. They defenetly already used the weapon many times already.
@@tomgu2285 if they had, there would have been some kind of foreshadowing. Maybe they used it in the past, but not in a very long time.
@@tomgu2285 besides this could be an Alderaaning, testing the ultimate weapon before using it against the real objective.
The video I was waiting for before going to sleep, perfect!
If Im's conquerors haki is so strong as to manipulate someones WIll, then the Will of D becomes a completely different meaning...
Especially if she’s a she eheheheh dominant mistress Imu, kind of hot lol.

@@bladedfurball What that’s pretty much what they were getting at.
Tekking's creativity when it comes to the beginning of his videos will never seize to amaze me xD
Guys he has a tiny little hammer
Great point about not buster calling Lulusia. I hadn't thought about that. I think not wanting to cause more rebellion is insightful. I also kind of felt like there was urgency to destroying Lulusia
Uranos prssents a funny reason why the Celestial Dragons don't really mess with Fishman Island
The Celestial Dragons, and Im's throne, live right above it.
One Piece finds inspiration from 2022 feature film "Moonfall"
What if the shape of Uranus was that of the WG symbol? A symbol of their power.
Dude I enjoy your discussion videos so much they're so engaging keep up the good work!
I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet but hypothetically couldn't Luffy bounce the giant death laser back? 🤔
Might explain why the WG wants his DF so much...
Tekkings Hank hill voice is spot on
This also explains why the Lode Poneglyphs were hidden either under the sea, behind tall walls, and on a tall moving elephant.
Possibly also why Shandora fell to the World Government, but its gold was untouched.
I don’t believe shandora fell to the
World govt. it’s entire story revolves around shadora standing strong after all this time.
@@psychronia
I’ll need to re watch and re read.
Always a good time when a new Tekking video drops.
Still surprised no one is talking about how Bonney came out of the seawater as a kid, possibly indicating that that's her base form
That might be the form she takes to escape, she used the old lady form at the reverie. I honestly believe she may be from the old era, why does akainu want to capture her so badly?
Is she like immortal or something?
Seawater doesn't nullify your powers just makes you weak
It's not like sea water nullifies devil fruit ability completely. It just makes the user weak and unable to swim. Once she ages someone she probably needs to consciously get them back to normal including herself. Yeah some users like Sugar and Moria get their ability nullified when they are unconscious but not all devil fruit works the same. Like Boa said, even if she died the one turned to stone won't change back to normal.
@@chasewilbur851 yeah no... That's sugars fruit
One thing about Sabo is he seems to be looking diagonally and not upward so there's probability that he's not on the island yet. You can see that the back side of his hat has shadows.
Please can you make another manga collection video
That winter island is definitely just a bit of a breather before heading to big deal places it might be the last break until the end.
Epicness. Just finished the chapter review. Perfect timing
Also, with how tense things are between the five elders and the fleet admiral, marines might get suspicious of the world government’s intentions.
I can see Fujitora, is just going to be like oh I’m just done that’s it I’m helping the strawhats he’s nika huh then he’s got my prayers farewell cursed world government.
I didn't know I needed the hammer intro in my life, but I don't know how I survived life without it now.

If you want a tour of his self, it was done when he moved to his new place, if you look for it, not much has changed.
Great animation of the lasers, Matthew! Good job, love your work.
Given the power that we saw in the last chapter (1059), couldn't the lasers come from the Seraphim. Going with what Doflamingo said, the WG could have made the Seraphim the '16 holy bullets'. I see this as the progression of the buster call to the next stage.
This is probably the second best theory that makes sense.
Okay but if the Seraphim are modeled to have the appearance of the former Warlords as kids then, I don't think the 16 Holy Bullets idea would stand up, because I don't think there are enough. The warlords until now were:
Boa Hancock
Mihawk
BlackBeard
Kuma
Gecko
Doflamingo
Jimbe
Wevill
Law
Buggy
Crocodile
And I think those are it.
@@darthcuckold1486 no he means like the doffy clone used the attack i think not that all r each one of 16
@@tiagoferreira234 The 16 can be anyone who has been in captivity and not just the warlords.
Depends on translation. In original earth isn’t mentioned. Just “world”
And I don't think it matters
@@KajtekBeary i know, it was technically the dub that said earth but still, lol. I was kind of kidding a little.
The weapon used could connect to the seraphim’s with the WG potentially not wanting dofalmingo to be made into one. There’s the idea of Genetic memory, certain memories can be kept in genetic code and passed to next generations or in this case clones, that could lead to the accidental release of their secrets.
I’m guessing the mega blast is only used when secrets of the world are at risk, like there being a king of the world
Personally, one thing we can assume is there's some limit on what can be done. Otherwise they would attack Dragon and the Revolutionary Army already. So some things can stop it.
Gratz on 700k my man!!
over the past 800 years how many islands and native people did the W.G. wipe out all over the world???
one piece world must have looked so much different in the past if you imagine they may have done.
THIS
I was watching pirate of the Caribbean at worlds end on saturday when I realized that kuma is a reference to Bartholomew & morgan the creators of the pirate code.
BIG HAMMER LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO. THE HYPE WAS REAL BIG HAMMER WOOOOOOOO
You finally hit 700k, congrats!
I like to think that Imu has the rain rain no mi, and what destroyed Lulucia was just a massive water drop.
