Hopefully people know, but might be good to tell them that the Final Word should be level-matched. As a great endgame gun, they should wait to do that quest until level 50.
Yea, hate when that happens to me unknowingly!!! I remember a certain dagger obtained in the Vile lair DLC in the TES: Oblivion that was VERY good if you obtained it at its highest level. Unfortunetly, if you find it at a low level you are stuck with the crappy low level version. Since then I do my homework before exploring new Bethesda content! 😄😄
I agree that you should absolutely continue with the series. This video was pretty comprehensive in every way. Although it would add some time to production of the video, maybe a side-by-side combat comparison of the base weapon vs. a specific "named" legendary variant (when they exist, as in the case of the Final Word) at the end would be nice. Great work as always - I am always excited when a new video from you pops up on my lunch break.
I rolled a VE .50 Cal last week at the greedy mole and I love it so much. Not my strongest weapon but it was my 1st explosive .50 roll and I've played since launch.
@@AngryTurtle yeah I understand that but you could have said that in the video and said that a better third star would have been 90rw or 15fr. In future videos you could give the desirable legendary effects.
I definitely enjoy the weapon guides. I've been experimenting with various heavies on my second usable character. Non bloody or junky weapons are what I use.
I don’t often leave comments on videos, but this video explained every last little detail I was expecting to learn about this gun, I really appreciate the help, advice and tips! 10/10 and a big fat thumbs up! 👍🏽
im using final word too, its a great every day weapon. 50 is my second favorite. I love the look and feel of the LMG best. i would really appreciate some skins for both
A section detailing what sort of legendary effects you should be looking for would be nice. That way you cover regular, nonlegendary versions and still give info for the endgame crowd who are hunting that perfect legendary roll.
Would like to see a guide on the old style gatling gun, have a junkies explosive version the dmg is great but the 20 fire rate just takes all the fun outta using it, against mobs especially.
With the Speedy receiver mod you can push that DPS up to 25 if I remember correctly. You really want to find one with FFR. Unfortunetly, the bug that made Martial artist perk card speedup the DPS on the Gatlin Gun, was patched. My little TSE Gatlin Gun used to just annihilate anything it came in contact with!!! Insane DPS for a while anyway. Goodtimes
I really enjoyed this. There are quite a few guns that i'm clueless about - so having a guide to them would be pretty helpful in deciding what might interest me more. Although, I am currently using the 50 cal as well and love it. I've been looking for the heavy barrel mod and you taught me how to find it, so thank you! Time to scrap some 50 cals!
Always been a huge fan of the 50 cal since the BETA! The one you showed off was the one I ran for as soon as I had hit level 25 to get my first one too. I'm a dedicated commando build now but I'll always have a soft spot for it, and a guide for it is great as well!
Thanks for the weapon overview. Very quick but thorough. I would definitely like to see more of these. I would like to see this kind of video for sets of armor too. Like; how set bonuses work. How many AP Refresh pieces (or whatever) you can wear before they become redundant. And if that's not enough, I'd like to see a rundown for buffs. As in; how many buffs you can have active for each of chems, food, and drink. How to read the the benefits for each food for instance. For instance, some food will show 400 health and then shows a little clock behind it. How do you know for how long it lasts? There doesn't seem to be a standard for it. At least not to me. Is there a method to it or is it just memorization? Thanks Turtle!
Love the content! thank you for all the hard work you put into testing and making these videos. as a long time player all of your videos have not only upped my over all game but my enjoyment in this game as well!

I like weapon spotlight videos. I especially like learning about the less popular weapons and the legendary effects that would make such weapons worth keeping. People may want to scrap every Fat Man that drops, but a Two Shot one with 90% weight reduction is great to keep around. And I certainly would never have kept a single broadsider had it not been for your Daily Ops ammo farming video. I'd like to see more of those kinds of videos.

Some commentary on ammo usage and VATs efficiency might be helpful. These are the reasons the 50 cal (and Gatling Gun) are go-to weapons when my shotgunner needs a long ranged weapon. Also good outside PA so great for XP farming events like Line In The Sand and Guided Meditation.
I would like it if this series continued. But I would appreciate it if you also said something about the use cases for each weapon, as well as the ammo economy. Eg. .50 Cal is a great weapon since you don't worry about mods, and the game gives you a free perfect DPS rolled legendary one at the end of a questline you can finish in an afternoon. That said there are downsides. Ammo management being the chief among them. They absolutely chew through ammo - when it was my primary weapon for a while it was not uncommon to use 10k rounds in a play session and these are rounds you actually had to make as you cannot cheese .50 cal rounds like you can some heavy gun ammo using Daily Ops (enemies drop significantly less rounds per mob). It was the only time in the game I ever actually ran out of Steel scrap and had to farm for steel lol.
I would recommend you put posts to look for people that has a collection of the gun you’re gonna showcase so you can show the weapon it it’s various powers. These videos are helpful, knowledge of the mods makes so I don't bother scrapping these guns in hopes something new, I have an assassin one with faster fire rate and weightless ... I was wondering if weight affects the vats cost
Just received this gun a few nights ago. I think this is my favorite gun to use more than any gatling guns. I can now craft 315 ammo rounds at a time with the right Perk Cards for the .50 Cal. So I'm up to over 17,000 rounds. Haha Out of curiosity, what Power Armor is that ? It's very Silver. I haven't seen a Power Armor like that yet.

A good thorough review of the 50 cal. One of the most satisfying guns to use. Needs more skins (like many weapons).
