Another stellar job!! Do you ever wonder if pork back fat got ranked higher because of it’s fatty richer broth which made it stand out from the rest? I guess a generous, well flavored chashu and plentiful negi and fresh bamboo shoots make the impact too! I was thinking that aside from the nap, you would b thirsty from all that salt intake!!! Great job!!
Great points - ingredients like pork back fat or lard are a sure fire way to create rich flavor...and with the Kyoto bowl, this might have been a factor in the ranking. Sometimes I have to ask myself, why am I enjoying this bowl? Is it a flavor easy to understand, like pork back fat? In the end, I think went in the opposite direction - choosing perhaps the more carefully crafted, delicate ramen (Sano). They're all awesome of course! Drank a lot of water after too 😊.
Smoky, buttery, creamy, rich. I’m all about #4 Wakayama lol. Haven’t tried that one yet!

Great video! Iv been trying all those regional ramen bowls this past year since my trip to Japan has been postponed, check out Hakata tonkatsu, sendai spicy miso and sapporo spicy miso if you get a chance

Sano Ramen! Light broth yet very flavorful😊 Whenever I go to Tochigi I make sure to have a bowl of it!

I also would go for the Sano, noodles are the most important ingredient for me.
Noodles are critical! The Sano ramen was soooo good...makes me want to travel to Sano.

I love a good tonkatsu-shoyu broth although the chashu disappeared! Would love to try any of them here as getting restaurant quality instant ramen is very difficult in the UK (extremely expensive to import).
I need a fishing line for the next Instant Ramen vid (to retrieve any lost chashu) 😂. Hopefully in the future, that won't be the case - quality instant ramen over there and without a crazy markup!
I like the onion in Hachioji style ramen but I think it's a bit to lardy. Still worth trying. The sano ramen looks the best broth wise as well as the toppings so of these all the Sano one would top my list, but for me the more negi the better hahaha. The kyoto version had so much negi so I would try that one as well.
Maybe a Sano-Kyoto hybrid would be perfect. Awesome broth, perfect noodles, and a ridiculous amount of negi 😁. Hachioji was excellent too - lardy but manageable!
Frank is the best! Lard is a little off putting when you talk about it, but I'm sure it tastes great! For round 2 do they ship the lake water :)??? HAHA. Random question though... Do you make all your own graphics? They are all so lovely :) STOP USING me for comparison means it is your FAVORITE! I'm sure you have mentioned this, but would you rather eat 5AM ramen in shop or instant? OMG BONUS RAMEN! LOVE that you still have space after 4!!!! The Square and Circle Chasu freak me out. I like the organic shape. We both like the same one! It's all about the pork!!! We watched the whole video
I know what you mean about the lard - but yes, that richness that it brings is hard to beat 😊. Haha, I wish they shipped the lake water for the instant version. For graphics, I went on Envato (those packets they have). Great question - I think before I would have rather had ramen outside at 5 AM...but now, instant ramen at home (not just with the current situation), is what I'd rather enjoy. How about both of you?
@@5AMRamen I think nothing can beat FRESH RAMEN! Yesterday we went to a FRESH UDON place and you can definitely taste the difference and texture.
@@exploreaswego Nothing like it indeed! When travel is ok again, I would recommend visiting the island of Shikoku for the best udon in the country!

You impress me with your appetite and slim figure. I am easily twice your size and would have a hard time eating 2 bowls. Another great video. Love your slurp.
I've found balance to be the key - on my non-ramen days I eat relatively healthy food and stay active! I'm always biking or walking to the ramen shops. Slurps up 😄
