It's ironic that we all debate about weight of bikes these days then turn around and slap 3lbs worth of electronics on, myself included. Love my Ace Pro but that stays in the sports car. 🙂
Can shots like at 5:29 be filmed with a 360° camera (that "distance")? Or was this done with a drone / camera operator. Blows my mind, I always thought people have cameramans...
How is the sound recording quality though? I have always found that insta360 camera's sound quality comparable to AM radio and definitely of much lower quality than the competition (GoPro)
That mount is like a springboard 😅 Great for filming perhaps but I doubt it's great for viewing said film unless riding on smooth tarmac. Isn't SAFA Brian got one of these mounted on his helmet instead? Seems to work like a charm, he's got some great content.
You didn’t mention that the camera is out in front of the handlebars, so that it could be damaged in case of a crash. Computers on out front mounts are protected in most cases, because the computer is behind the handlebars.
As a garmin virb and insta360 previous owner, let me tell you - these cameras are big on promise and little on substance. Angles look cartoonish. Insta360 is wobbly as heck off the front of the bike. And who’s got time to reframe anything after shooting except if your get paid to make videos. And this mount here will break off your handlebar mount on the first few bumps. Basically - just DONT do it.
Honestly, that is one wobbly setup
Was going to comment this aswell, to wobbly for me.
That stem mount vicibly bounces and flexes. Does not look rigid and strong enough compare to the other 4bolt stem option.
Seems like with a tiny bit more structural engineering that front mount could be considerably more stable
Insta360 is some awesome tech. Thanks for the tips David. Keep em coming.
Spend thousands saving 150g, spend hundreds putting it back on the bike 🤦🏻♂️
Dangit man. Now I'm probably gonna buy this.
In most situations, I still think the insta360 motorcycle mount is the way to go.
Hi David
Great piece of kit👍
Very informative video as always 👍👍
Excellent as usual, David! Thx.
I see a lot of wobbling and believe over time can cause issues for the mount

Right, I sometimes rocker a.5ah m18 battery or a 8ah Bosch core battery with diy automotive light pods
5 lbs for battery (8ah) 😆
Never trust those tiny screw that hold the bottom of your cam. Road sometimes get bumpy & it cause vibration that will crack those tiny screw.

Yup all shots with the 360 camera on an extended selfie stick - no drone needed, that's the real beauty of this camera
Great video David. Question do you have a link to the mount you also showed for those of us that don’t have a one piece handlebar/stem please?
Here you go, follow this link and you can choose the mount you need store.insta360.com/product/bike-computer-mount?INRS1KM

Not all integrated handlebars have bolts in a row so I am kinda disappointed that there is only one version of the mount.
ahhhhh shhheeeeeet.... lots more want again now for this damn thing!!! If only that mount allowed some angle adjustment for my OCD 🙃
This mount is too short. I think on your gravel shots. you used a longer mount out in front that I use.

I didn't crash my drone; I just parked it long term in a tall tree in Colombia. Ahem.

man that thing over time will snap
friends Kedge one piece snapped in half
Yep - I snapped one of those with an X4
Let me quickly watch before the video disappears (gets taken down) like the last one
Do you mean the race bikes one? That was an audio problem so it's been taking down and will one fixed and republished soon.
Nah
Why do you need to film everything you do.. just ride your fcking bike ..
