I grew up in a religious household, but when i was a teenager i strayed away. in 2023, i became pregnant with my first son at 19. One week before his due date, on December 22, 2023 he passed away and i had to give birth to my stillborn baby. After that, i came to the realization that if i want to ever be able to see him alive, hold him and hear him laugh, i have to fix my relationship with god. it's been very difficult especially because i fell back on my substance abuse issues shortly after his death. but here i am, willing to give it one last shot.
Sorry to hear that, substance abuse is a difficult thing to deal with. Been there and it's a hard road but it's a good road to take and there's lots of people you can talk to and this one has also helped me through. Ice addiction was the easiest to overcome, it's the legal ones the government make money from thats the hardest

Dear Michelle, Seek God with all your heart and continually pray for strength. I will keep you in my prayers. Never give up. Your son is in heaven with God and if you put God first and make Jesus your Lord and Saviour you will see your son full of life and laughter and will spend eternity with him in the presence the Almighty ❤

3 years ago when my husband passed away, I felt like I had lost everything, I was very angry, I could not bring myself to pray or do my bible study, I realised I prayed and asked God to save him from his pain and suffering, he passed away that same day, I was hoping for him to be healed, I do believe he is healed and in heaven, I wanted God to give him back to me, I am so sorry for the anger I felt towards God. I am still struggling I know God is all loving and forgiving, only by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ am I saved, I am wanting an even closer walk with God than ever before, constantly feel under attack. I could relate to Job's words of anguish, frustration and pain.

Had to dive into the comment section when you started discussing Job's friends, and more specifically when you mentioned to pray for friendships. I just wanted to say that for anyone who is looking and praying and has yet to see, wait. I was in the exact same boat. When I first became a follower of Christ, I knew that community was a necessary thing, but I didn't want to throw myself into it. I knew that it would be better to wait for the Lord to push me on His timing into the group of individuals He needed me to be connected with. It took months, but now I have an amazing support system that truly looks out for one another and seeks a better relationship with God together. I'm telling you that it's worth the wait. Be obedient in prayer and God will answer in HIs perfect way, in His perfect timing!

Every time I read Job, I am in awe of the reminder of how HONEST and raw I can - and should be - with God. As someone who struggles with mental health, it's something I love about the poetry genre of the Bible.
My 25-year-old son, Nicholas, died June 17, 2022. After this tragedy, reading the book of Job has taken on new meaning for me. Often times I feel many read the loss of Job's children as simply a sentence, nothing more. I love that your study digs deep and is full of passion. Thank you for the effort that you have put into this Bible study. It has certainly ignited my passion for study once more. God bless you for answering His call. You have certainly helped me tremendously.

Last year (2023) I suffered an extreme depression. I hadn't invited God into my life but after doing so on the 6th of January my life has changed. I've started gyming, eating healthier, etc. I thank God for accepting me with open arms, and I am excited to learn about Job's story.

Day 004: I’m very grateful that God is never changing ❤ Often times when I think about the question of why bad things happen to good people, I remember that everyone has different definitions of what good is and what bad is. Because of this, I’m reminded to seek God’s judgment instead of the judgment of others. As children of the most high God I believe we must remember that he knows what’s best for us.
Yes, I do. I think we should be totally honest with God about our feelings about everything. For one reason he can speak to them and give us an understanding, and he can heal them. For another reason if we don’t, they will build up inside us and cause bitterness. Thank you job for being our example.

This Bible study really spoke to me. I can relate to the scriptures because I’ve had those moments in my life where I felt like why was I born and why was I created so thank you for this wonderful study and teaching. I love the story of Job for many reasons. 1 although his punishment was more than
I could ever bear, to be chosen by God for such a testing reveals the heart of this man.
2 His life was and example to Satan, to Job and to us today of the ways of God and our response.
3: Friends are great but no one can walk in your shoes even the best of friend can turn on you or even judge and question your heart posture or walk with God so don’t be surprised by it.
4 of we stay the course long enough we will see the victory, because God will never waste our story and sometimes trouble is God allowed to prove to us and to others the goodness, mercy, sovereignty of our God 🙏🏽

I always give people the benefit of the doubt, and sometimes doing that has caused issues. So I started feeling guilty for doing it. But to know it's biblical to do that makes me wanna stay steadfast in doing it.

Job's story is intriguing. Instead of focusing on what Satan did, he focused on God. No wonder he proclaimed it was God's possession which God could take away (Job 1:21). Lesson was....FOCUS ON THE CROSS TOO.
I couldn't get through the rough times in my life without God. Therefore, I do not need to be bribed to glorify Him.

My 10 year old son and I are doing your bible study. We’re a little late. We started on Wednesday but are remaining steadfast and watching 2 a day when we can to catch up. I’m embarrassed to say it but even though we go to Church every Sunday and are very involved in our church I have never fully read the bible. I felt as though with my busy life I didn’t have the time to just sit down. But being able to watch and just follow along and if I need to walk away from my bible for a second to cook and take care of the kids needs it just makes it so much easier and doable and having my son look forward to watching your videos as well. It’s been not only strengthening our relationship with god but with each-other as well. I love your passion and how much love and effort you put into your teachings. God bless you! 10:28 I brung this up in a bible study the other day, it seem like a lot of people love what God can do for them in the good times and nothing else, we arent truly thankful or aware of His grace and majesty

You said God does not send hart times. Indeed He does. He either allows or creates Himself. But while the enemy always has bad agendas, God's agenda is always to build us and develop us in faith, in obedience, in endurance. And also so God will step in when we have nothing left but to rely on Him only. God then shows His faithulness. Just like James said to take joy as you go through various trials....... God sends trials to test us. But he will only allow as much as we can endure. Dr Charles Stanley has his LIFE PRINCIPLE BIBLE. One of the principles titled: "brokenness is maximum usefulness". I heard a sermon from Stephanie Ike, she has the best explanation as to why God allowed Satan to destroy Job. It is the best explanation which I have never heard elsewhere. However. I will wait to hear the rest of this podcast. Thank you for breaking it down

Reading Job, i recall the saying….’Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% how we respond’. Studying Job again, i will reflect on my responses to life as it unfolds good and bad.
