    Touching story and honestly rather brave to dredge up old feelings and decisions in order to face them and move on properly *in a public setting*. Means a lot to see people do that and also feels like a prod saying "Hey I'm gonna work this out with you guys all watching the journey so make sure that you keep facing your own pasts as well even if you do so privately."

    Don't make me cry like that, Robathy Jansport Skeem! (That's right, I used your FuLl nAMe!) it goes against my calloused lack of sensitivities Todd should somehow receive some blame for, that I will determine why, later.
    For real though, I'm glad that your After the Tone collaboration is back on. I misinterpret social interactions all the time, so my heart goes out to you for the miscommunication/lack of communication way back when; and I'm glad you two were able to work it all out.
    The Hello Goodbye cover is dope too. A friend of mine who passed away in 2010 was a fan of them, and I think he'd really enjoy the cover, too.

    Allright! So now we have two origin stories of the We Skeem persona. As this latter one was given to us by a British guy and presented in a more cinematic manner, it seems more genuine. But then again, the We Skeem brand has always seemed to be about disruption and distortion...

    Seriously? F her man. That's horrific levels of passive aggressive. "She doesn't 't listen to voice messages " lol. You aren't that important lady. God bless you for even considering working with her again.

    • @WeSkeem
      @WeSkeem  9 місяців тому +5

      She was a 19 year old on summer break. I would go through a lengthy explanation on the psychological dynamics, communication norms of 2010, etc., but that’d be a bit excessive. She is not a villain nor someone who thought herself then or now as more important or better than me. And her behavior wouldn’t fall under passive aggressive.
      I understand a bitter untrusting response, I’ve obviously been prone to those myself even in this situation. I have been hurt by many people, and it causes me to judge many people with the same measure universally, even if that measure doesn’t apply to them. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Brittany better now than I did then, and am very fortunate to be working with her again and she’d say the same of me.
      All this to say, don’t be mean to my friend. Or I’ll start to be mean to you. This is my one friendly reply.

      @russellnickman8231 Sometimes things aren't as simple as you think and ppl aren't doing things to spite you.
      As someone with ADHD, I often screen calls as I get anxiety speaking on the phone if I haven't prepared for the conversation) so I have many voicemails (and emails) unread/unheard. I leave them that way as it reminds me to listen later when I have the mental energy to deal with the situation/person or followup action required. If overwhelmed, I can see why ppl would just delete them though. It is quite common for ppl with ADHD to prefer text/written communication so they have time to gather thoughts and can reply in their own time without the pressure/expectation of voice chat (perceived or otherwise, it's still the same pressure), plus they have a written record to help their working memory for next time.

    • @russellnickman8231

      @@carolinehaf21 then you are going to miss some important calls.

    • @WeSkeem
      @WeSkeem  8 місяців тому +1

      Then act like you're 55. You're showing the mental maturity of a teenager or an enraged political activist. Dealing in wild absolutes and extremes where they don't belong. There was never an implication ignoring calls was justified or okay. Pointing out "then you are going to miss some important calls" in response to Caroline as if you made a profound response or had a "gotcha moment" is embarrassing, juvenile, and pathetic. Did you not just watch a 10 minute video outlining that important calls are missed via those behaviors? Did you miss the entire messaging of this? That people make MISTAKES and those mistakes are not their defining characteristic, but how they respond to them and what they do about it to improve is?
      You've interpreted and twisted the data you've been given in a way that I only see, again, in responses from children and political/religious extremists. People who only operate in "us vs them" mentality. In other words, the fungus on the foot of society. The Twitter culture, Andrew Tate, Tom MacDonald super-fan, or Hassan loving boot-licker mentality. The epitome of "I cannot think for myself, but I believe I am special." Wherein you are relegated to regurgitating what other people tell you and playing it off as your own individual thought. And when presented with information that counters the drivel that comes out of your mouth, you double down and attack. You don't learn. You don't grow. And you end up a 55 year old man-child, over halfway to your expiration date, drooling at the opportunity to express your repressed hatred against women when faced with a story about growth, maturity, forgiveness, and moving forward. Four topics that you have never known anything about aside from pseudo interactions with them.
      I'd wager you're a conservative who calls yourself a "libertarian/moderate". Based on the undertones of hating women, dismissal of factual information, inability to understand the nuance of viewing behavior through the lens of mental health while still holding individuals accountable for their actions, and stating your age as a badge of honor in context where it should be seen as a mark of shame.
      Free advice. Go do something else. I'm sure there is an Andrew Tate or Tom MacDonald comment section feeling your absence. On the extreme off-chance you are in the opposite political space, I guess I suggest a Hassan video. In any case, I'd bet my life savings you are an avid participant in some community fueled by political extremism labeled as "the only rational ones". Go there for a bit and come back here on one of my videos wherein I'm having fun poking fun at all political nonsense. However, videos like these are for the adults. By mentality, not by age. And you are not one of us.
