Hello RuthAnn, Parfum de peau has been reformulated so many times that it is not Parfum de peau anymore. I got a few vintage extract bottles and I turn back to 1990. I was 16 and my highschool best friend used to wear that fragrance. Very audacious for a young girl at the time ! Good memories ❤
I love how you can describe these unpleasant odors with the most unique adjectives and comparisons, and at the same time you're so diplomatic and professional 🤣 You're an artist! I always enjoy your videos 😊
I'm absolutely baffled re: your description of L'Adventure Femme. I own it, it's smells like the Fruity Floral it's described as on Fragrantica...and nowhere is it billed with aquatic notes OR oud. Fruity floral with regular woods and vanilla at the base. Did you mix it up with the men's version, I wonder? What you described is nowhere near the same fragrance. There's also a L'Aventure Rose, and a couple of others in their L'Aventure line. PS...I think I found what you were describing ...at least per Fragrantica...L'Aventure Knight...it's supposed to have ozonic and aquatic accords...yet the notes listed don't reflect those notes.
I like Ruby Velvet, although there's a note at the beginning that I wish wasn't there. However, later it goes away and I adore the scent on my bed sheets or clothes for days. But after about a week it turns musky and I have to launder all that.
I'm a huge fan of the OG Oscar and bought Ruby mainly for the bottle. I love the red glass. Anyway, the scent of Ruby is not what I was expecting and while I liked it at first spray, I'm picking up something in it that's not working with my body chemistry. I've put it up and will revisit it when the temperatures cool down... might be a fall/winter fragrance. What do you think?
I just found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching. I’m so happy I found you! You do real honest reviews on a wide variety of perfumes. It’s so nice to find someone that wears the old stuff. I’m trying to get most of the stuff I wore in the 90s into my collection. You are a great source for stuff I’ve never heard of before. Thank you so much! Omg the review on the Montana I was dying 😂😂
I have opulent oud and I do not get any of what you mention. All I get is beautiful scent and every one atound me likes it. I think what you get has to do with your ...ph. This has happen to me too😊
Generally It’s best to stay away from celebrity fragrances. They are just not up to higher standards as the designer and boutique fragrances. There are about 2 exceptions in my opinion (Gwen Stefan’s LAMB for example is very good. A lot like light blue from D&G). I also find the fragrances from Avon and Victorias Secret are terrible, low quality scents not worth a dime.
I've opulent oud and i'm surprising, i think the same thing; i wonder if it's my nose :i've spraied in a table in outdoor and you smell it after a day; in my opinion they're too strong and a bit offensive, i' m sorry but I don' t understand the hype.
While I know tastes vary (part of what makes this fun), I think you may have just saved me from buying the AP fragrance. It is literally in my cart. Because, licorice (love). I also was dying to know about the Montana frag (I freaking love that bottle). Your descriptions are killing me! I keep a list of things they don’t work for me (some are super popular), partly because I have forgotten and almost repurchased them.

Oh I was going to buy the Al haramain scent because of the hype, so thanks for the advice. I will not be buying it now😉😊
I agree with you on the first perfume.
Still love Montana's scent from the 80's and I'm a masculine man.

Yes you are probably right. My nose, my brain or my pH
Thank you this video is so helpful

But that's just your opinion. Many ppl like celebrity scents and Victoria's secret scents including myself
I hate APFI too, I don't understand the hype. I sold it.

That Montana fragrance I'm still working on & I refuse to let it conquer me lol
@@ruthannemackinnon588 that’s the spirit! 🤣
I love your honesty!!
No!!!! Not a man’s bottom of the urinal🙃😭😭 the bottle is gorgeous though lol very misleading name lol 😉
I bet musty oud us from the synthetic oud..real oud is too expensive. Often i can't stand pud, there are a.couple designer scehtsbthat are ok
The Montana Oud may have passed it’s time. That may be the reason it smells bad. Normally fragrance is only good for a year. Just a guess
