- In this video I will show you how to limewash by using a limewash paint technique this diy makes for an easy living room transformation. Limewash is a quick, easy, and natural way to add subtle personality and texture to a room.
You can go dramatic with a bold/dark color or just create a super subtle texture with a lighter neutral tone. This technique can look great when done to an entire room or just an accent wall. As you can see, there is a lot of versatility here and I love the unique look that you are able to achieve with minimal effort and money. Limewash is a great alternative to tile/wood/stone making it great for budget renovations. I hope you all can find this video helpful and learn from my mistakes... lol. You did a great job. The giant tv mounted high like that looks top heavy. I don’t like cranning my neck up like that to watch tv. I would put a piece of art over the fireplace and the tv over the console. Not a fan of TVs over fireplaces. Your focal point is 2 giant black boxes.

Love this. I try all kinds of different painting techniques. Lime wash I haven't tried yet. I did some walls texturizing with mud dry wall compound trying to make them look like the old school plaster. The thing that worked the best for the effect I was going for was applying the mud, then just taking my hand & kind slapping it, or moving it around until you got a old world type plaster look. So much movement adds so much to a blank boring wall. Have you ever, been interduced to the IOD brick roller. A little bit ofa learning curb on that one but so absolutely cool. Process.

The limewash looks great on that wall! The new look provides a nice subtle accent...well done. And it's very helpful when you show how NOT to do something, too. Can't believe you guys didn't take down the TV though, while painting??! If it was me, the TV would be covered in limewash!! 😂
What an incredible idea. The before and after are worlds apart. Love the new look Jenna. The clean and crisp look of the white against the liestone combo paint/backdrop is ideal. Great job. Can this paint be bought in the US yet or strictly in the UK at this point?
