    Loni clearly has a hard time being vulnerable and opening up, but I'm not mad at that at all. It's hard sometimes. I wish she would though just a little

    Loni's so guarded, poor thing, you can tell she has a lot of pain, most comedians do.

      +UniquelyMade I've noticed the same, she keeps herself guarded for reasons best known to her. Loni jokes around a lot but you can see she is very emotional and gives some great advice

      +D Dixie Tamera's mom wasn't there either and I felt sad for the girls because Tamar and Jeanie and Adrienne had their mom's but not the other two I teared watching that thankfully their Moms are alive but you could only sense they really wanted their moms there too

    I think Lonni went through a lot growing up she doesn't seem to like getting deep she seems to avoid a lot of questions or turn them into jokes... which makes sense because people say that comedians have the most pain, but it's crazy she will cry over someone else's story I think she uses other people's stories to let out her pain.

    • @EvaElyse
      @EvaElyse 8 років тому +23

      She defiantly did go through a lot growing up. She often deflects when asked questions that would cause her to go deeper. it's a shame because I feel like out of everyone on the panel, there are very special, and much needed things that she could share. Hopefully one day she'll feel safe enough to allow us the see the real Loni. Her stories are needed, and a greater barrier on the panel would be broken.

    • @monidani506
      @monidani506 8 років тому +10

      Someone in the comments on Facebook said that in an old episode Lonni said when she was younger her stepfather would buy gifts for all the kids and for her mother but wouldn't buy anything for her. I know that must have hurt a lot. She dismisses her own feelings by pushing them to the side she does the same thing herself that her step father did to her as a child. She is a comedian so it's kind of like she has trained herself to laugh at her pain or just not address it.

    • @LV2308gmail
      @LV2308gmail 5 років тому +2

      IamChosen488 she may just genuinely feel for whomever the story is about because she’s that compassionate. I’m an empath and a Cancer woman also and I was watching the Drs, one day and this lady was pregnant and did not carry her baby full term and she had to get a hysterectomy. When I tell you I felt her pain all the way through my tv I did! I literally was in tears. She probably masks her pain so that she doesn’t have to relive the moments, but she won’t be able to heal that way.

    Tamera's photoshop was the best! Looked like she was standing there with her daughter. Anyway, Loni needs to chill with the brown liquor story. I feel like she doesnt get personal when the other ladies do so the show can have moments that doesnt get too serious.

    Janazia Thompson, This is wisdom coming from a 50 year old woman who has always believed in having a great character. Love God first and seek his guidance and the advice of others with positive attitudes and loving hearts. STAY AWAY from hurting people because they WILL hurt you eventually. Love, nurture and be kind to yourself because there will be days that YOU are all you have for YOU. Let your self talk, self respect and self worth and constantly working on your self development be your number 1 priority. Take time to find out what you really enjoy doing and do it. Choose your circle of friends wisely. Surround yourself with people who inspire you to be a better person. Learn and take heed from woman that are gifted and positive about life. And when the time is appropriate ONLY connect with a man who treats you with the highest respect and that has a healthy perspective on loving (NO ONE that is coming from an dysfunctional home). Go to college if possible. Try not to bring a child into this world until you have finished college and a wonderful man has chosen you as his wife. Love, Laugh often and Live. Wishing you a beautiful life's journey. Shine like I know you will.

    This is something I needed to hear. I'm only 23, but the pressure I put on myself is unreal. There is so much I want in life, but I have no idea yet how to get there. I've accomplished a lot as far as education goes; I've got 2 Masters degrees and finish my law degree next month. I left my home country and am separated from all I know by an ocean. When I look at my friends back home, they've all started careers, met their partners, have created homes for themselves, and I look at myself and think 'why don't I have that too? and 'is this all worth it?'' Constantly filled with anxiety wondering where I'm going to end up. But it is nice to know that I'm not the only one with those worries.

    I got a little emotional seeing Tamera's younger self, it was if my childhood flashed before my eyes. I felt like I was looking back at my old self as well, it's so funny how people you watched on TV as they grew up, you grew with them. We are around the same age & that picture took me back & just allowed me to think how you should enjoy your youth. I really loved what Tamar said regarding...not rushing your life. It is very true & it is something I am still struggling with today. Note to self take each day as it comes & enjoy God's blessings.

    Tamara is so I related to most... I was home schooled all of middle school... And I honestly was naive from my lack of social experience.... Got my heart broken thinking people honestly meant what they said and almost turned me into someone else.. But I can day I'm stronger now because of it

    Thank you Tamar for that wonderful advice. I'm 18, and currently going through a really rough time in my life, I had the "perfect life", everything was easy and planned as i grew but now, i find myself facing really tough situations that make me question myself.. but as known, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I know that god is testing me and has what's best for me in the future. As i'm going into adulthood , independence and maturity i'm crossing challenging and shaky paths that will lead me into the right one, so again thank you for these advises ladies.

    This is why I watch The Real. Time flies and before you know it you have family and kids to take care of. I'm turning 30 and I've never felt better. Got rid of some garbage in my life (people & things). It's amazing how much lighter life is. The younger me was always rushing to grow up. Slow down.

    GOD! I love you four girls!! You'll probably probably never ever read this. But you have NO IDEA what this means to me! I'm going through some hardships as we speak. Quit my job, it's been one month and I was falling into depression. The job market in LA is extremely competitive and well yeah I've been feeling super down lately but have been able to pick myself up again and become that warrior that I know I am! Anyways forward one day, I haven't been able to see any of these clips in a while because of my depression but now that I'm feeling better I came to their UA-cam site to look at what's new. This made me tear.! it's like god talking to me through you guys! He does exist even when we doubt our faith and him! I've been seeking this advice for a while and you'll never understand how much it means to me. Thank you for helping me remain strong! Can't thank this show enough! Whoever is behind the scenes and comes up with these topics sounds a lot like me. GREAT JOB TEAM!

    I would give the warmest hug to my younger self and tell her nobody but YOU will ever love YOU quite like this. So stay expectation-LESS of people. I would also explain to her that even if pleasant, well-meaning people do come into your life don't take them too seriously because when it's all said and done...only a few rare ones (or just one) will remain lovingly loyal and interested in your time.

    I loved this segment. I wish I could talk to my 18yr old self just once. Tell her everything will be okay, stop stressing and enjoy life more. My family instilled paying bills and working hard too much in me that I feel it took away from enjoying my time. Although I appreciate it because I have great work ethic now, I'm 24, and enjoy life better.

    I love this segment. At 31 yrs I'm still learning about myself, however, what I would tell my younger self is....Love yourself (inside and out). I think in loving yourself, your self esteem is very high, you're confident in every area of your life, and you trust your instincts more.

    I loved every part of this.. They are all different type's off woman, but what the same thing is that actually that we all go to the insecurities when we are younger. And that shows off that we have different stories to tell but we are all the same and that speaks off being a young human teenager
