Jo Koy is like an ambassador for anything Filipino. God love him.
Yes he’s the best ❤️🇵🇭
Chocnut is not good. The reason why we love them is because of the nostalgia it brings.

I adore how Jokoy values his heritage. His mom really raised him well. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for promoting Filipino food. We're so proud of you Jokoy.😘
The two hosts are so funny. They aren't even waiting for Jokoy to introduce the food they're gonna eat. The best "Try Food and reaction" video ever. The kind of foreign visitors we want in every Filipino houses. Show that enthusiasm to any Filipino Mother and you'll gain weight.
hahaha you've noticed too 😅 so funny.
So good of him not forgetting his filipino roots! Way to go Jokoy!
His mother would never let Josep forget 😄
I hope all fil-am's are all like you, proud to be a filipino and proud to share your blessings to filipino people.God bless you more!
Nice Jo Koy mabuhay! You're lifting up the filipinos reputation. It gives respect and honor to the entire filipino communities in the world. 🙌🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I'm very happy that Jokoy is promoting Filipino food abroad and also Filipino culture and tradition. He's not forgetting his Filipino roots.
Thanking, Jo Koy, for introducing usual Filipino snacks to the Americans! He does, in fact, represent the Philippines.
Chocnut finally getting the international recognition it deservess!!!
And that is why Jo Koy is not only one of the funniest man in the world but also such a great man! He continue to embrace and promote our Filipino culture to the world! 🤘
I love both Hoda & Jenna's reactions! 😄😁
That three version of his mother is so hilariously accurate.😂
That was SO SWEET!! He paid for people's groceries...But he ALSO told them to "Load Up" their baskets!!! How Nice!!
He’s super friendly and quite generous ❤️
Love the reaction from Hoda & Jenna! Jokoy you're amazing! I was crying when you mentioned on you show that "Filipinos open the other for other Filipinos to come in, because that was what Filipino does" and it is exactly what you are doing right now! Mom really raised you well!
Filipino hospitality at its best!
I love it when he said “short hair, glasses, there’s 3 versions of my mom right here” 🤪 literally my mom too lol
I'm so happy that Jo Koy highlighted a spectrum of Filipino snacks here, and I'm glad the Hoda and Jenna liked them. Here are some of the featured items in this video (the ones H&J tried first, then the ones that didn't tried)
- Chippy: A corn chip that looks like Fritos. Some people are saying that it's less salty than Fritos. US influenced.
- Shrimp Chips a.k.a Prawn Crackers: An Asian snack staple. It's made from starch and shrimp/prawn.
- Ensaymada: Spanish influenced pastry. Traditionally, it has a toppings of butter, sugar and cheese. But now, it has a lot of fillings inside like for instance, it has ube or purple yam in it. A common ingredient used in Filipino desserts.
- Hopia: A chinese Influenced pastry also. This is an inexpensive version of moon cake in Chinese cuisine in the Moon cake festival. Here in the Philippines, common fillings are sweet mung bean or ube.
- ChocNut: My childhood FAVORITE! It's a milk chocolate and peanut treat that's crumbly, powder-y yet it has a perfect amount of sweetness. It's not the same taste profile with Reese's.
Here's the other snacks that's been on table but, unfortunately H&J didn't tried:
- Polvoron (Left side of the Hopia and ensaymada plate): A spanish influenced snack. It is a very simple shortbread which is made out of flour, sugar and milk.
- Skyflakes (Right side of the Hopia and ensaymada plate): A Filipino brand of saltine crackers.
- Champorado (inside the basket. In the middle beside Chippy): A chocolate rice porridge/pudding. It's believed to be Mexican influence in the Spanish colonial period. However, instead of masa, we used glutenous sticky rice and add it with sweetened condensed milk and dried fish.
- Adobong Mani (Garlic Fried Peanuts): A Filipino street food snack classic. Can't find the country of origin or influenced, but this thing is nutritious for brain power. Can eat it with either the skin on or off.
So awesome of him ❤
Great descriptions. Spot on!

I love em too! Pinoy taste!
He is very generous. And he also had chocnut and Oishi growing up in USA. I also had those in the Philippines and he is many years older than me. I guess it's because there is a huge Filipino community where he lives so he was able to eat those home grown snacks.
