Proud Filipino here! So happy to see Filipinos making a big name in the culinary world today! Congratulations, KASAMA and CORA! 😍
Long overdue recognition for Filipino food, finally!
So happy to see Filipino cuisine get the recognition it absolutely deserves... The challenge with Kasama is it is almost impossible to get dinner reservations and with dinner prix fixe price north of $ 230 per person sans beverages, it is definitely significantly higher end than the typical Filipino dining experience. It is positioned as a higher end dining "destination" for sure. Wishing KASAMA much success.
Oh, I wish I can taste those twists..They look so delicious!!
Wishing all these businesses success!
Im pure Pinoy.. and I love donuts!! just woww dude!!
OMG..! I LOVE FILIPINO FOODS Its hard to find like that here in Eindhoven Netherlands
its really crap... even filipinos dont like it
always watching from philippines. ❤❤❤ proud
Kasama actually means 'Companion'.
Together means 'Magkasama' in Tagalog.
true
So how would you explain "Siya ang kasama ko."?
@@eatsmylifeYT she's/he's my companion
@@skreyao4898 Exactly. So the original poster's original explanation is wrong. He edited it after I commented.
@@eatsmylifeYT It's like this. Siya ang kasama ko (She/He is my companion). Magkasama kaming nag punta dito (We came here together).
Tagalog: Kasama ko siya. Magkasama kami.
English: He/She is my companion. We are together.
All looks delicious!!!
❤❤❤ ang sarap naman yan
Another Filipino Pride 🌟🙌💛🇵🇭
Mabuhay!!
I love how each time this couple is covered, the wife’s Korean nationality is never mentioned. I don’t think y’all grasp how big a deal that is for her culture.
Love it!
Yummy! Everything looks delicious.👍🏼❤️
Phils 🇵🇭 so mixd..frm flan, latin names ¬ too asian because of brown skin but its there, noodles,B-day & fiesta fave-fried spring eggrolls..and where Ube can only be found❤
Not too asian because of brown skin? LOL. Majority of Asians have brown skin, whitening skin products are just popularized, but it's not natural
so good.. Congrats
WOW!!! IT LOOKS DELICIOUS, IMPRESSIVE REPORTING. . IS FILIPINO FOOD UNDERRATED ??
Just subscribed. Yum, Pinoy food.

Beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I just wish Fil-Ams would ask someone who speaks fluent tagalog first before using it instead of just using google translate. Eitherway, what matters is the food! Congratulations!

Wow! Nice way to promote Pinoy foods 👍 but If you really want to taste the real taste of Filipino foods, visit the Philippines.
correct!
Waiting for: it's traditional Filipino food elevated to fine dining for delicate palates and "crab mentality" comments to come flooding in😂😂😂. Also lame justifications like: "it's Filipino-inspired." And we can't forget the "muh Michelin Star" comments.
For the record, I agree with you
👀👀👀👏
Anthony Bourdain manifestation came true
philippines has veggies soap but it wont show in USA because people there dont like it only the fried and desert.
Soap? Did you mean "soup"?
Hay, ayaw ata nila mag critic sa Pinas na mga restaurant na may mas maraming mga pinoy dishes from north to south kase nasa isip parin nila yung misconception na makidnap, etc. HAHAHAH Good for the filams though
Wrong. "Kasama" means "Companion" in Tagalog
Depends on how you use the word.
Kasama means “with”
no, it means together
@@King-lc4we mag-kasama means together.
Boplaks, it depends on the context.
Together/With is more accurate.
He couldn't even pronounced Kasama and Tagalog in Filipino accent 😩
So what. What point are you trying to make? Does that mean you won’t support your countryman? That’s very judgmental
As a 🇵🇭Pilipino, The only thing Pilipino about this restaurant is the chef & his skin color. That aint pilipino pood! You'll never find those kind of pood in the 🇵🇭Philippines. This is my Brutally Honest Review of Kasama's 13 course meal.
1. Kinilaw is just 🇮🇹Italian ceviche. Caviar is never in pilipino cuisine & its more expensive than gold!🤪
2. Lumpia is just 🇻🇳Vietnamese Spring roll. Oyster is typically grilled with melted cheese & garlic in 🇵🇭. Not Olive oil, this is just 🇮🇹 oyster.
3. Nilaga is suppose to be beef shank soup, not a rice bowl with cabbage & marrow!
4. Siomai is from 🇭🇰Hong Kong.
5. Shitake Mushroom adobo, never once cooked in a pilipino home. Only the sauce is 🇵🇭.
6. Salmon Chicharon. No Salmon in 🇵🇭 bec. it's expensive as Fk! , just bangus.
7. Pancit is just 🇮🇹Italian pasta w squid ink.
8. Kare-kare is suppose to be ox tail, no lamb in 🇵🇭. Only goats🐐.
9. Bistek is just Japanese🇯🇵 Wagyu w a tagalog sauce. Thus the name "Bistek Tagalog".
10. Truffle croissant is not even🇵🇭, it's French🇫🇷.
11. Banana Cue is never eaten w creme. It's just carmelized brown sugar.
12. Halo-halo in 🇵🇭 doesnt have lychee, honeydew granita & pandan. These are not even pilipino fruits!
13. You'll never find Ube Basque Cake in the 🇵🇭. You'll find Ube Pan de Sal.
Clap clap for your crab mentality! Whatever happened to food evolution? One restaurant introduces the Filipino food to the global scene and you pull them down? Kudos to you. You are one of the reasons why we havent evolved as a community.
@@sherry37 Youre missing the point! They are not introducing pilipino pood! That's contemporary cuisine, pilipino inspired. Thats why Phil pood never gets recognition. Thailand, Vietnam pushes their original recipe not fusion. Thats why Pho & Pad Thai are world famous! 🤪
true! I would love for Filipino food to be recognized globally but without the need to dress it up in western style. Caviar? Truffle? Really? It's Filipino-inspired maybe, but not Filipino resto.
My understanding is it is FILIPINO inspired and for me, that's a wonderful thing... Authentic Filipino cuisine will be a bit challenging for the average American palate.
@@ptg01 agree on this
For an average American: Oh yes, chinese
Kasama doesn't mean Together in Tagalog. He doesn't know our language. I doubt if he actually knows our cuisine. Maybe that's why he needed to put a twist on it. Because he doesn't understand it either.
Grabeh ka Naman makapanghusga.filipino pa rin sya.importante Hindi verbatim.yung pinaka buod Ng salita.ang salitang Tagalog Naman maraming kahulugan depende sa gamit.importante Yung nilalaman.anu ba yan 3:19
That’s pretty harsh
hahahah what a slap in the face of Filipino chefs in the main land. Bet the food here is better and for less, the hell would you expect from Michelin
