I really do feel like Get Together should go in justified. I see it being either super hyped or said to be overrated. The clubs system is definitely hard to take full advantage of but I personally can’t imagine my saves without it. Oh and also, it kind of suffers that the game is old since the CAS feels dated. I actually like Growing Together - mainly for the compatibility system. I give all my sims various conversation & personality likes & dislikes, and like to see who gets along and who clashes. The milestones are a good concept but not best implemented… I like to see the occasional moodlets pop up from reflecting on milestones, but when and where they appear can get a little glitchy and in the end it’s just moodlets. Moodlets are really a fundamentally flawed core system 🤷🏼♀️ I also like the kids being able to learn how to bike. The tree house, on the other hand, takes up so much space and time I rarely use it.
From what i can see, a lot of packs are pretty much heavily praised off of build mode items. The very few packs i bought were all for build/buy items other than get together.
Building is popular Especially on youtube. But its usually gameplay items that push my hand. I eventually got cool kitchen cause I wanted the ice cream maker, I got Discovery University for the bikes, island living has water vehicles which I actually play with a lit (I play in Sulani a lot as a normal native sim) etc etc. I think playing off-grid simple living in Sulani is a great challenge. Even movie stuff I got to build a movie theater that wasn’t a rabbit hole. So yeah I built something, but I built it to play with.
idk if its just me but i dont really care about cas or build mode... i really only care about things that add/modify gameplay from day to day and add variety. i guess thats why i prefer just sending my sim to work/school in the rabbit hole rather than playing out work because after ive done it once, it gets repetitive. i also dont care about worlds tbh or even leaving my lot much because i cant be assed to deal with all the loading screens!! working from home, lot challenges, turning on neighborhood stories and short lifespan. the more out of pocket and chaotic i game becomes, the more fun i have iwth my little random sims trying to navigate it the best they can! thats what brings me joy. sims can feel very mundane because its missing the original edgy comedy... it just feels very safe for work, whitewashed, inoffensive, and like its walking on eggshells. the reason satch and others make it so much fun to watch isnt because sims is a fun game... its because they make it entertaining. so i guess im thankful for that :)
@ihavecrabs56 I understand that, i used to play the same way, but then i just hated having to use all the pre built houses and downloading them off the gallery only to modify them anyway. Most of all the houses i use to build were just boxes because i didn't care about how they looked outside but the game just got so boring i started to learn how to build properly and even make normal looking sims. I even found a use for the ugly makeup in cas by using miscellaneous skin colors to make my own "creatures" with Realm of Magic. I've only been playing for 4 years, and already, the game is a bore to me.
@@mykpoplevelusetobeobsessio9577 i do like changing a little bit in cas just so a sim can display their personality and uniqueness through their clothing (and make them easier to identify in a crowd XD) like having a defining color scheme/hairstyle/style etc. and i do use build mode if i feel the need to expand/reorganize the house (like how most houses share a toilet and shower in one room which makes no sense from a gameplay OR real life perspective lol). i think thats why lot challenges, short lifespans, and neighborhood stories keep the gameplay fresh. lot challenges force your sim to deal with unforseen turmoil, short lifespan really put a timer on what your sim can accomplish in a lifetime, and neighborhood stories keep the world from stagnating around you. im at a point where i cant play without almost every lot challenge turned on just because the game feels so boring and monotonous without them!
Outdoor Retreat's problem is that it was never updated for new packs, shocker. It did have good stuff in there when it first came out but when they updated the off the grid for "nature's revenge" the herbology should have been able to take care of that. New packs and updates eliminated the usability for it. Goes back to how once a pack is released they just forget about it. Now, I have little girls that love to get their nails done IRL so they love spa day. Personally, I see no point in infants, hate the "milestone" system, instead of listening to fans or coming out and saying they can't give us Sims 2 or 3 babies we're stuck with Sims 1 babies they made a new lifestate, was that my last straw to go back to Sims 3 completely? Maybe it was around that time.
@@nedrane297 good news for you: you can age the baby up real quick And with infants and later ages: you can age them up with a cake But with infants and toddlers, i get what you mean, it's annoying it won't do what you want and with baby part, they looks like dolls than a actual baby😬😬 (i either put the baby, infants and toddlers in other households or i age them up for these reasons)
@@leontineketting97 Its fine, they can do what they want, I abandoned Sims 4 for Sims 1 and 2 and 3 and Medieval. I'm good. The cutest thing is the kids rocking the baby in Medieval, it is soooooo cute, especially since you cannot control the kids so they do it on their own
Yes!!! As much as I enjoy a lot of the things with Seasons, it makes gardening SUCH a pain, and gardening is one of my favourite aspects of TS4. I wish there was a way to keep all the other aspects of Seasons, but make a save file permanently one season + have plants always be in season. It's so frustrating having to build massive greenhouses instead of a back garden
My favorite is probably the University one. Not because of the college experience, but because of the Servos. My main character was a Servo. Started off as a regular Servo, whom a father built to help take care of his daughter, but then became so advanced that he went off on his own. He then underwent a procedure to become more human, but still needed semi-regular Servo maintenance. He was basically a Terminator. Fleshy on the outside, mechanical on the inside. Dundun, dun, dun, dun. The Lovestruck update broke the mods I had that made this work. Now I wish I had written them down or saved them separately.
Totally agree about Seasons which ruined gardening and many connected features in other packs (like herbalism in OR). Don't agree about Snowy Escape, by far the best "cultural" pack. Growing Together, while mainly boring, has to overlooked revolutionary features: the rec center which is by far the best community lot type and the possibility to invite friends and relatives to a sleepover that works amazingly well.
I don't like get famous, it interrupts my Sims whenever that Cho girl comes in and starts doing her jumps causing everyone in the room to crowd around her. I don think famous people would be randomly wandering in a place that isn't a celebrity hot spot they'd be more attracted to a city or del sol valley. I'd rather them be confined in one area, cause realistically the chances of you seeing a celebrity is rare. Vampires should have honestly have gotten more, much like werewolves I think werewolves is the best occult pack. I never play cats and dogs, get to work, or with discovery university.
Not gonna lie, out of all the stuff packs Luxury party stuff pack is my LEAST favourite stuff pack because it only comes with some cute clothes and it has an okay hair but that's all about it😬😬 I'm aware it comes with some food but it should be a basegame thingy to be honest
My number one pack right now is parenthood. In my current game I'm playing a single father living with his 2 kids but I never actually play the kids. I just influence them to do their homework, shower, sleep, etc. I try to teach them positive character values. Adds so much richness to my game
Outdoor retreat... Overall : Meh. Some interesting aspects, but nothing outstanding. Glad that I never got Luxury Party. Spa Day : I like it for the yoga. It's absolutely great to get out of the dazed state that precede a burnout and get out of a burnout. Also, kids doing yoga build their mental and physical skills with a single activity. As for the rest... Hard to care less. Spooky Stuff : Will get ONLY when it'll be offered free. Get Together : For the DJ sets and DJ skill. Vampire... How much is EA willing to PAY me to get that one ? The only thing that MAY interest me is the organ. I'm glad that I got Parenthood. As a live mode simmer, it really improve my game play. Cats & Dogs. With that one, the «Selectable Pets Always» by charitycode is a MUST. It allow you to select and play your pets as they should be by default. Laundry Day, or watch your neat Sim throw dirty clothes everywhere instead of the laundry basket... When right next to a laundry basket. Seasons and the annoying random holidays... There are mode to disable those «surprise» holidays. I'm OK with the New Skill day, but I totally disable neighbourhood brawl. But, the seasons should be base game from day one. Get Famous : I almost always end up with a 5 stars celebrity in my game. A celebrity who have completed the celebrity aspiration. Island Living : For the nice scenery and some build stuff. Also, nice place to have a date. Game play ? What game play ? Realms of Magic, or, my #1 MUST have pack. Then, with the Spell Injector mod, you can have so many wonderful new spells and potions...
I tried for ranch, but the horse gets bored so fast and walks into my house constantly. So annoying. For rent had a bug that it said there was an electric failure. checked everything, couldn't find anything. Checked online , saw that many had the same bug. And high school years indeed you can't do much. When you have a break between classes it's so short, that you can't do anything with your teen sim. But most packs only work okay with mods otherwise it's crap.
Not going to lie, the cube was one of the reasons I got that pack too. I like to make walls lined with windows around a line of cubes, lit with valuables my sims have collected on the cubes like a table. Sort of like those transparent walls you see in those fancy banks or that model trains are behind in malls, I feel like someone who's got a higher IQ could take this concept and really make it brilliant.
Get together is the most overrated pack like everybody always talks about how great the world and build stuff is But the pack has literally no gameplay, the world and build stuff is like an ugly mix of modern madness and outdated old stuff and the cas is horrible
Also I’ve heard that a “feature” of the world is that townies might randomly start fights with your sim? Even if it is the biggest world, that seems too annoying to play in, so…
It does have gameplay though, apart from the club system. It has foosball, darts, don't wake the llama, dance floors, djbooth, the pool jumping platform, bonfire, walk in woohoo closet and the arcade game. By now, yes some of those things have been repeated in different packs but it doesn't change the fact that Get together comes with all of them unlike most of the packs after which are limited. Plus the club system really is the only way to make the Sims 4 feel alive when attending community lots/nightclubs. (even more so if you use mods like Mc Command to increase club numbers) The CAS is ugly but the build and buy is quite consistent in its Tudor theme and unlike other packs includes foundations and gates that match fences! The addition of the modern stuff was a weird choice but I guess it was back in the day when they had standards to fill object quota. It deserves its place . . . but does it even matter when the Sims 4 is now so broken?
I’m so sick of everyone saying seasons when people ask for suggestions. Guys it’s something nice to have but there are WAY better packs that should be bought before. I took that advice and was so underwhelmed.
To be honest, I’ve been thinking for a while outdoor retreat, and seasons would’ve been perfect as one pack you get the world plus you get the camp and the scouting career in one to me. It makes more more sense if they were in one pack of outdoor retreat gameplay, swimming more a bush, monster, or camp monster or bear real bear or something like retreat had the same care as stranger ville I think it would’ve been a lot better of a mystery and mission just my opinion. I’ve been thinking there have been a lot better at one pack or make more sense as one united pack.
All sims 4 packs lack depth from the NPCs and surroundings. It’s amazing playing the sims 2 or 3 and seeing all of the NPCs interact with each other or with you. I don’t usually have to pretend or make up a story in my head, it’s actually fun lol
I would buy Cool Kitchen again just because of the Diet Ice Cream. If you eat Diet Ice Cream your Sims will gradually lose weight unlike the potions which you buy with satisfaction points which can have too much of a dramatic weight loss. Otherwise the pack is pretty meh
Seasons and many other packs wouldnt be an issue if they gave us the options in the settings to adjust the packs a bit more. We legit cant do much to customize the settings for each pack.
I agree with things for the most part BUT I don't think people see Get together as underrated. It's always the most recommended pack by any simmer in every video and on sims reddit communities.
I think my first pet is popular in sales because people think its the expansion with cats and dogs, then they realize they made a mistake and they need to buy a dlc for dlc. I already read some comments on reddit like this.
11:40 when you say it rains where and when it shouldn't rain do you mean like Tartosa? Did you know that in North Italy yesterday there was a wintery storm??? Rain is too common all year round in Italy 🫣
Easiest example is oasis springs , its a literal desert why would it rain there😭 i picked oasis springs for my legacy challenge just because i don’t wanna be bothered by the rain or snow but it still rains sometimes which is weird/:
@@Amal88827 it does rain in deserts actually, I just googled it, turns out it rains just above 10% out of the amount it rains in rainforests! I gave the example of Tartosa because in a previous video he complained about this world specificly 🤔 I found it funny, considering I was caught in heavy rain in August in Italy 😆
i actually love vampires so much for some odd reason! (the world is trash tho) for seasons i just make the cycles longer so my crops don’t die so quickly
The sims 4 seasons is just ANNOYINGGGG!! I wish there was a setting to turn of the seasonal effects on plants, and the holidays / at least the negative moodlit when you cancel a holiday
Nice! Satch can you tell me what packs I should get today. I'm hesitating between Get to work, Island Living and Horse Ranch for Expansion and The wizards pack (I can't recall the name) and the werewolves pack for game packs
I'd say get to work is the best out of the expansion packs you're interested in. The world is awful but the retail system that is introduced allows for great gameplay in my personal opinion.
@@NoobTube4Life it depends on your gameplay If you're into fantasy and having a battle, then either "Werewolve" or "Realm Of Magic" is made for you (they're both occults) If you want to run your own business and make your own shop, play with active careers and even want an alien then "Get To Work" is made for you If you want a beach, mermaids, some activities, going to a cave and even want your sim to clean up a trash, then "island Living" is made for you If you love animals, doing horse competitions, making nectar and even having a desert world then "Horse Ranch" is made for you It really depends on your gameplay!
"unfortunately it was just an advertisement for Disneyland" Let that sink in for a second... EA made a pack in order for simmers to "enhance" their Sims experience. Players bought with their hard earned money only for them to realize they have bought a glorified advertisement. Not just one item, an entire pack. It's just embarrassing and EA deserves all the hate for being this cash grabby.
Some of my most used/favorites are: Spa Day… I love how it adds to my gym builds Get Together because I love Windenburg the most City Living because I also love San Myshuno Discover University Journey to Batuu - I am simple. I want a Droid and a Lightsaber… but I hate I can’t build/live there Packs I’m over: Cats & Dogs Vampires Strangerville High School Years
Lots of ppl recommend seasons as the first pack to buy but I genuinely don’t really want to get it cuz watching simmers deal with the seasons frustrates me so much. I bought cottage living cuz I loved the build items and world
I don’t have any sims 4 dlc and I was wondering what dlc would be best for someone new to TS!? I’ve been a loyal Sims 3 fan for years and Generations has always been my fav 🩷 I also love seasons, ambitions and world adventures
My three must have packs are Cottage Living, Realm of Magic, and Nifty Knitting, probably because 9/10 of my games are cozy occult farming games. 😅 I do like Growing Together for the non-boring infants, but more for the milestones and I think the ability to gain traits came with it? And I ended up liking City Living more than I thought I would, but mostly because I enjoy making my sims level karaoke so I can watch the Sims 3 videos. 😂
I've never seen someone say they love Luxury party's hair and clothes 😅the glowing cube aswell, I've never seen someone use this thing, Same for Spooky stuff and movie hangout, so I'd put them in indifferent xD
I just got Get Together. So far, the gameplay is 0 out of 10, because I don't care about clubs and it seems to offer nothing else, but I'm tearing up the build mode. I do medieval and I've been using all the build mode stuff excessively, and even building medieval houses and shops and uploading to the gallery for the first time.
Dine out isnt so bad with Dine Out Reloaded. Also, butlers work decently with LittleMissSams mod. Also the vampires are IMO the best in the franchise, including TS2, but as you say didnt need a separate pack. And parenthood is definitely essential Also you can delete holidays from the calender.
NGL I prefer Sims 4 seasons over Sims 3 seasons but I think that's because of the planning system and the to-do lists when there's a holiday and you can also edit it.😢
With gardening in seasons, I normally put my plants in a greenhouse. It’s always thundering in mine🥲seasons is 100% overrated but unfortunately necessary. BRING BACK BURGLARS🗣️😩
The only reason why I like the luxury party stuff pack is because I got it for free. So I assume all the compliments are from those people, I have been one from time to time and i might forget to mention that got it free..
Yes, My First Pet Stuff is technically DLC for DLC. Which is totally cash grabby and wrong... HOWEVER, I get why it's popular. It's got pets for people who can't afford (or can't run) Cats and Dogs. Plus there are some gems in terms of furniture in that pack. Did you know the desk chair is super cheap but has a Comfort level of 3. I use it so much more often than I thought I would just for that fact LOL
I get why people dislike Snowy Escape, but I personally really like it, but I also don't have seasons so that's maybe why I like it so much. I think I would have liked Seasons better if it was easier to change seasons, I don't personally like the dramatic whether. Snow is only great if it's actually Christmas in real like, I don't want Rain or thunder at all and dying of the sun isn't really interesting for me, so Snowy Escape is just alot more what I want, it reminds me alittle of the holidays pack for sims 1 and that's really what I would have wanted, a complete control over whether all year🤷♀️
Home Chef Hustle has my favourite kitchen but the fact you have to put a blender in every kitchen once you get it is annoying. Essentially, all recipes require "prepared [ingredient]" when you have the pack. The only way to make them is with the blender. Otherwise, you gotta pay money to buy the prepared ingredients.
i think i’m on a completely different side of the simmer internet because all of the packs you said were either loved or not talked about enough were shocking to me😅
Agreed on snowy escape. The skiing gameplay is so boring. Like you sit there for 2 minutes watching your sim ski and have no control over your sim. Like I got the pack because was bored during covid and got bored of it in two days.
After watching this I realized I do t have a favorite pack. My reason for buying packs is just to try an get rid of some of the mods I have in the game.
I also don't get the hype of a Growing Together. I watched some youtuber who said, that he walues this pack, because after time he's still discovering some new interactions, while other packs he can "finish" in two hours and there is nothing more. Ok... Maybe. But I'm more into your opinion. And if you want to add baby changing table to the game, you don't have to pay this amount of money. It is now part od the Dream Nursery kit for a KIT price. Together with infant playmat. Both work without growing together. So 😅
BRUH...I was like, I'm gonna give this a watch, because I started appreciating your very honest pack reviews when they release but this? What are you on about? 🤣 What's your source for this? Because...WHO is raving about Luxury Party?! WHO is expecting gameplay in a STUFF pack like Patio? WHOOOO is raving about Spooky Stuff? Majority agrees that it's meh/ok. Get Together underrated?! Everyone loves Get Together, it's one of the best S4 packs and people love Clubs. Not to mention it comes with Windenburg. I could go on and on...this video is either a bait or you got most of it upside down.
Sims get to work still has broken glitches that I've been reporting for example the ghost goo effect on normal sims not in your family is permenant they stay ghost so be careful.
Growing together sucks. I don't have it, so my infants are so boring. I wish they'd just make a infant living pack. I like parenthood cause your actions does affect the children and how they'll be as adults. Not by a lot, but enough to give my sims a reason to talk to their kids 😅

Romantic garden was the first ever kit. We just didn’t know that yet.
I know backyard stuff was recently free but I don’t remember seeing perfect patio stuff for free.
I think he mixed the two up. 😅.
Yep he mixed those two up
What a relieve, I was afraid I missed something EA gave for free. Thanks for clarifying
“Celebrity in the Sims4 weirdly kinda feels like occult” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Damn!!!
8:33 Greed. EA knows how much they gave away in Sims 3 and Sims 2, having bigger packs with more stuff. It's all about greed.
Yeah, pets ins Sims 4 are so lifeless it's criminal bc I love giving my Sims pets but in Sims 4 they're almost like objects not pets
Why ? you can literally just click age up on them.
@@nedrane297 good news for you: you can age the baby up real quick
And with infants and later ages: you can age them up with a cake
But with infants and toddlers, i get what you mean, it's annoying it won't do what you want and with baby part, they looks like dolls than a actual baby😬😬 (i either put the baby, infants and toddlers in other households or i age them up for these reasons)
2:09 recently free???
I guess he meant backyard stuff. Although it wasn't free that recently so i could be wrong
I actually love spa day sometimes I just pop in first person view and it'll feels like I'm going on vacay 😂
Not gonna lie, out of all the stuff packs
Luxury party stuff pack is my LEAST favourite stuff pack because it only comes with some cute clothes and it has an okay hair but that's all about it😬😬
I'm aware it comes with some food but it should be a basegame thingy to be honest
You really do like making videos on how good and bad the packs are
i'm a weeb and i loved snowy escape 😪 build mode is one of the best
I love that ur channel is growing high passing certain sim UA-camrs lol.. i hope to see u at 300k this year
As someone who like building legacies in Sims, Parenthood and Growing Together are my favorites, with Get Together and Seasons following.
My number one pack right now is parenthood. In my current game I'm playing a single father living with his 2 kids but I never actually play the kids. I just influence them to do their homework, shower, sleep, etc. I try to teach them positive character values. Adds so much richness to my game
I started playing in Evergreen Harbor lately and it's actually so satisfying when you get things right.
Get together is the most overrated pack like everybody always talks about how great the world and build stuff is
But the pack has literally no gameplay, the world and build stuff is like an ugly mix of modern madness and outdated old stuff and the cas is horrible
It disjointed but stil have more gameplay itens (new skills, new functional objects, new intereactions) then For Rent or Lovestruck
Also I’ve heard that a “feature” of the world is that townies might randomly start fights with your sim? Even if it is the biggest world, that seems too annoying to play in, so…
For me too! Like I don’t play in the world at all aside from visiting nightclubs. I don’t see the appeal personally.
(even more so if you use mods like Mc Command to increase club numbers)
The CAS is ugly but the build and buy is quite consistent in its Tudor theme and unlike other packs includes foundations and gates that match fences!
Jesus Christ, the last time I played the sims the Japan pack had just been released, and now there's like 9428048038 new ones? Lmao
I like to think in game that Journey to Batuu is just a theme park experience vacation rather than a galaxy far far away
I love the cube! Wish they had bigger tables with that same design lmao and seasons is extremely over rated
The world is awful but the retail system that is introduced allows for great gameplay in my personal opinion.
what packs do you have already?
@@NoobTube4Life it depends on your gameplay
If you're into fantasy and having a battle, then either "Werewolve" or "Realm Of Magic" is made for you (they're both occults)
If you want to run your own business and make your own shop, play with active careers and even want an alien then "Get To Work" is made for you
If you want a beach, mermaids, some activities, going to a cave and even want your sim to clean up a trash, then "island Living" is made for you
If you love animals, doing horse competitions, making nectar and even having a desert world then "Horse Ranch" is made for you
It really depends on your gameplay!
@@leontineketting97 thanks
"unfortunately it was just an advertisement for Disneyland"
Let that sink in for a second... EA made a pack in order for simmers to "enhance" their Sims experience. Players bought with their hard earned money only for them to realize they have bought a glorified advertisement. Not just one item, an entire pack. It's just embarrassing and EA deserves all the hate for being this cash grabby.
Some of my most used/favorites are:
Spa Day… I love how it adds to my gym builds
Get Together because I love Windenburg the most
City Living because I also love San Myshuno
Discover University
Journey to Batuu - I am simple. I want a Droid and a Lightsaber… but I hate I can’t build/live there
Packs I’m over:
Cats & Dogs
Vampires
Strangerville
High School Years
Lots of ppl recommend seasons as the first pack to buy but I genuinely don’t really want to get it cuz watching simmers deal with the seasons frustrates me so much.
I was so excited to get Seasons and everyone was talking about how great it is and now I am kind of annoyed at it too 😂
Dine out isnt so bad with Dine Out Reloaded. Also, butlers work decently with LittleMissSams mod. Also the vampires are IMO the best in the franchise, including TS2, but as you say didnt need a separate pack. And parenthood is definitely essential
Also you can delete holidays from the calender.
When was Perfect Patio free??
I bought get together for my sims to get the option to change traits. Keep the story more lively i feel
Aaww perfect patio was for free? Maybe I missed it because I play offline at the moment to not update my game
You're confusing perfect patio with backyard stuff. Perfect Patio was never free but backyard was free a few months ago.
I like spooky stuff, but that’s because I love Halloween and I didn’t want to buy the seasons pack 😅
bffr satch, journey to batuu is that BAD 😂
Satch when are you going to make videos playing Coral Island again?
I don’t have any problems yet 😊
Wait when was perfect patio stuff free, please tell me I didn’t miss it 😢
I love seasons and Cats and dogs Am I the only 1Who still likes these ones
So 😅
my game is so broken ;-;
The seasonal plants are pissing me off rn from seasons we should be able to turn it off without mods tbh
ur videos always bring me joy🥺
What was the name of the mod to stop celebrities showing up everywhere?
As someone who cant build for shit, thank goodness for mods and the Gallery lol bc the gameplay packs are...questionable.
I love outdoor retreat
when was perfect patio free??
Who are the people who love Luxury Party, Spooky Stuff and Cool Kitchen?!? I honestly see nothing but people joking about how awful these packs are 😂
dang it, i missed perfect patio stuff
Now that I think about it, I didn’t like pets in sims 1 or 2 either
I got Outdoor Retreat for free. So its fine. Its there.
when your day is shitty and then satch's new upload pop in
I had no idea it was free 😭
Sims get to work still has broken glitches that I've been reporting for example the ghost goo effect on normal sims not in your family is permenant they stay ghost so be careful.
Growing together sucks. I don't have it, so my infants are so boring. I wish they'd just make a infant living pack.
I like parenthood cause your actions does affect the children and how they'll be as adults. Not by a lot, but enough to give my sims a reason to talk to their kids 😅
I find Seasons annoying for all the same reasons.
