My step father sold his harley and his 1968 firebird to take care of us when he met my mother. We were homeless and he gave it all to give us everything. I wish we could give him something back after all these years. He is such a good soul always giving to others.
Pass it on be to people too
Your step-dad was one of the good ones he showed you how a real man takes care of his family he chose yall over objects I hope one day my daughter has one of those
I absolutely love the moment Danny mentions his employees. Instead of saying they work for him he says. They work with him. And that is Class. Hope to someday make to Vegas and see his collection for my self and get some ink don’t at his shop. We need more Danny Ks in the world.
It's crazy how you can feel emotional for a guy who you've never met. But Danny is such a kind generous guy that your heart just breaks for the man! Being a car man myself, I feel your pain. It's like giving away one of your kid's and just hoping the new family takes care of them the same way you would.
Dustin, you said it just right. I lost my 66 mustang. I Loved that car. It was in my first cousin's garage. He drove it when he should've, hit the passenger door & replaced it. Troopers stopped me because the rear light was out. The trooper said this car is stolen. My cousin had put a stolen passenger door on it. I went to jail & lost my 1966 mustang, 218 engine, that was fresh Dustin. I haven't spoke to him in yrs. Stay safe brother. Everyone.
it's sad to watch.
@@jerrysmith8436 wow what a sad story
"Employees that work WITH me" That is a class act.
You know who ever brought it isn't even planning to drive it Jay lenno lol.)
Absolutely

I heard that to, and I thought it showed the character of himself. I bet he's a great boss to work for.
OMG I remember that episode of Counting Cars when Danny decided to keep this GTO and Scott was so mad
Salem i think Scott popped a blood vessel xD
@@miguelrice4250 I think he did he was really pissed
Salem understandably I mean that woulda been a nice pay day for the shop like he mentioned xD
That's 30 G's man!!!!
Since I was a teenager that's always been my favorite car... I saw the build how he snake that out of that parking lot couldn't believe it
That... was one of THE SADDEST VIDEOS I EVER SAW !!! Sorry for your Loss Count, will still watch with a heavy heart...
"How much for the car"
"250,000"
"Deal"
*danny thinking "oh shit bluff called"*
That was my favorite car in his collection that I've seen. Paint job is sick!
I was at counts kustoms this past Saturday while on vacation in Vegas. Bought me a counts kustoms t-shirt. Love that place
yea,to bad you never see danny around though
@@Cam-wi3tp is that Undertaker?
Growing up in Las Vegas, I've known Danny my whole life. Watched him in late night horrors, gave us permission to paint on his back wall... Been watching him now for almost the past 10 years now that I moved a thousand miles away. Danny is a class act!! Gotta love him.
This is probably the most beautiful GTO I have ever seen in my life and I am older than you, so Awesome BrotherMan
No its NOT...
THOSE PAINTED BUMPERS LOOK LIKE SHIT...
@@neale.kaufman5168 I'm sorry sir but you're an Idiot
I know this is from awhile back but man I can feel your heartbreak when you're talking about this beautiful ride Danny. I love you show Counting Cars and I hope to enjoy the show for years to come.
It was the first car to ever Truly piss off Scott in season one Season 1 episode 3 if memory serves. Danny as he drives down the road, "I think this one is going home with me" Scott : But Danny this is 30,000 dollars in 30 days... Brother man you are awesome. So sorry to see this beautiful car go. Been with you since your first appearance on Pawn Stars. You rock brother. So glad you are still rock and rolling. We will be down there soon to visit and tour all your businesses. Think I need Ink.
Forever love to you and all the guys at Counts Kustoms for everything you do for us out here in the viewing land! Feel free to read to Danny on his Q&A segment.
holy shit that must have been hard to let the gto go . we all feel your pain count
We feel you brother!!!!!
Danny, so sorry for your loss. The GTO was my favorite. My daughter and son in-law drove from Georgia to Vegas for their honeymoon. The one place I asked them to check out was your shop. They sent me pictures of your showroom and said the GTO was their favorite. Is there a plan to create another eye catcher like that one? Be well brother
This GTO is one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen. The lines, the colors, the history. Love it!
i dont blame you Danny i cryied 2 weeks when i got rid of my 1996 Caprice classic station wagon which are rare
I can so relate to Danny, when your a car guy thru and thru and you own a piece of history like the 67 GTO it is seriously the hardest thing to let go of. On the other hand as a business man the respect he gets by thinking of his employees before him is something rare in the world today. Take care Danny. Love Counts Customs
There are two things in the world that’ll make a man cry. His dog passing and selling his oldie car. And I feel for Danny in this video. :’-(
Danny, you are my favorite of all the car guys on tv. Thanks for keeping it real. Blessings
Lynn Goodr
Love the show. Love the GTO my uncle had a 67. Put the slicks in the trunk . he would load all us kids and take us to the Gainesville Raceway . I'm 55 now and will never forget it. You guys rock
Best part is the little kid working with his dad haha thats some cute shit
I remember as a kid a neighbor had one sitting in the driveway. Dark green with redline tires and racing slicks on the rear. It wasn’t his daily driver. He would take it to the track on the weekends. 67 is my favorite year for GTO
That is a beautiful, awesome sounding car. I remember the build episode. We feel.for you Danny.
A Danny Koker car priceless!!!!! I was in Vegas last year and saw that GTO in person. Beautiful!!!!!!!
You know your a true car guy when you get choked up about letting one go. Good news Danny, there's another one around the corner 😉
I can understand your feelings toward cars. I've got 3 trucks that I'll never let go. Keep yourself a do not sell list of your favorite rides and it can aid in avoiding car separation anxiety. I had a 72 Chevy pickup I bought in 82 from original owner with about 70 k original miles on it 350 auto long bed power Steering power brakes coil rear suspension .
It was stolen from me about a year after I bought it and never able to recover vehicle and was a original excellent shape and such a heartbreak for my vehicle theft loss.
That truck was going to be in my family for life. Thanks for a display of amazing automotive workmanship you and your team have done .🇺🇸
Poor guy sounds like he's having to put his dog down.
Seems that if any rides make it into his personal collection he gets attached to 'em. And that's perfectly OK. I have many good memories of different cars over the years. Heck, even riding a Honda Trail 90 back in the 70's...lol
Man I love this show but jesus every show you guys rag on horney mike if hes such a tool get rid of him !!!! I'm sure theres other guys who can paint skulls !!!! It's just like welderup show the secretary who knows nothing about cars is the main theme !! Make it more about the cars and less about mike or Rolli screwing up !
I think us car guys have all be there.its like breaking up with your girlfriend probably worse lol.on to the next find
@@robertestrada1683 I'd say that it's worse Lol.
He crying again
Loved hearing the car run. I understand you can't start the vehicles you have stored. It would be really really nice in the videos. If you would open the hoods and show the engine.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. #popthehood!
No worries count. You can get it back. Vampires live forever
Love to watch anything with Danny !! Always entertaining !! A real down to earth guy.
Scott was pissed cause you didn’t sell it... he’s like this is 30gs lol i remember that...
I remember that episode..it seem like after that episode,I didnt see Scott on the show no more
And Danny replied "I can't help myself". Classic moment of the show in my opinion. Gonna miss that GTO being in the showroom, that's for sure
Yeah, what happened to Scott?
@@111RAMONES I think Scott got caught embezzling $ so then he got thrown out of the rumble.
As far as I remember hearing Scott had something happen within his family that required him to move back to his home state.
A true business man with a passion for his work and accomplishments. Danny and his amazing crew are the epitome of automotive restoration! KUDOS!!!!! Furtheremore, Danny never once mentoioned the price it sold for; Richard Rawlins would have been bragging about how much money he made on the sale.
Your show was by far one of the best shows that I enjoyed watching. You definitely have many nice cars in your collection sir.
Danny I've been watching your show since the very first episode..And I LOVE IT. ! THANK U 4 THAT my friend..wow sweet ass ride..all I can say YOUR A STANDUP GUY U KEEP IT REAl..! AWESOME job. 👍from CALI.. .
Damm Danny, that was heartbreaking man. I remember the episode when you and Scott were rolling on the car man. He got mad at you cause he have a guy already on line to buy it and you didn't let it go.👍✌👌😁🙏good video brother.
I could not image someone else driving my pride and joy. actually, the very thought has kept me from selling it ,even as its still incomplete for far too long. You are the best Danny !!!
Sorry to see it go,,just watched the Detroit special and saw the offer for it then. Been watching this from the get go,,hope to see more killer builds
truly heartbreaking. ( and i had to watch it again... ) thank you and the guys for everything over the years brother its kept me going.
I've cryed over a car and still do sometimes
Business are business Danny! This fabulous GTO gave oportunity to other and other project's like that to Just born!!!... A Hug from Brazil!!
Respect for you and your whole entire crew my brother Danny you guys does amazing job
Shin Sho thank you for the correction
Take heart, Danny...you still have Dad's Shelby and Mom's Tri-Five Chevy fliptop, so all is not lost. And the '41 Ford Phaeton with the flames is still there. And a big thanks for helping car people appreciate what they have.
My late brother had a red '67 GTO. I wish he would have held it but he had a family and traded it in.
Hold onto it as long as you can.
I was never comfortable around the black bumpers but loved everything else about this car. Very lucky new owner!
Never thought i'd see the day Danny would let go of the GTO.
Ya me to
My dream is a comunity where we share the cars, among people who definitely love cars, and so everyone have to priviledge to drive masterpieces like this, and share the love it diservs. Selling it is just a matter of finding a place this GTO lady can call home. Danny ma man, dont feel sad about it, just restore another GTO and find her another great home ^-^.
you built one for a customer once that was a red wine colour and convertable....another drop dead gorgeous car.
I can totally understand where you're coming from, I hope you can fully recover from the situation, love everything about your show and what you do keep up the good work.
boy that black chrome man, hate it but what can i do.
Can't believe you sold it .I remember you and Scott arguing about keeping it back in the day
First season of the counting cars when I first saw that car. You bought it with kevin in a parking lot
I remember that. This is definitely a tough video to watch
This reminds me of when Lyle and Beverly bought the Sebring, sad to see it go but you know it’s going to a good home : )
Sad to see it go. I feel your pain Danny. But you’ll find / build another or even better.
.... wonder if Scott is happy now that you sold it?!
The one comment about,”THE COUNT!”
His collection in his preserving museum showroom,Extremely eclectically appealing.,”Hats off to you and your crew of ROWDY’s and you…keep it up!
1:50 that start ! 😍 and yeah that’s definitely better than music! I prefer any V8 engine over music ! Yes people do say I am crazy !
I'm with you 100%
a V8 is music
I just watched the Detroit show and as a big D girl I cried like a baby to see you go to your grandparents house. I have talked about doing the same thing, but I dont think I could handle seeing another family in it or worse seeing it like what you walked up to. Much love to you Danny. By the way I absolutely loved this car as well.
Hey Danny I have a 1969 Dodge Charger I’m wanting to have restored by your shop I was wondering what a complete ground restoration would cost? My bugget is between $50k to $60k is that a realistic to have my Charger done?
Danny I have watched your show since day 1. And I know the PASSION you have for your cars.the love. The time there bought and brought back to life is important to you. Dont ever lose that. That is what makes you one of the premier car builders. Of this day and age. I'm sure you will find another and bring it back from despair and give it new life... God bless you brother... hopefully I get to come out one day and meet you and see the crew and you... be safe and God bless you always.
You can really hear it in his voice, he's pretty devastated.
Then don't sell it.
I feel for you man, that was the best example I’ve seen and that colour is my favourite blue well the new owner has a beautiful car and I’m sure he knows it👍
The worst part of seeing that car go was knowing it was on the back of a truck wrapped in plastic. It's a car, not a toy, it runs and drives on it's own and that's what it was built to do.
Very early build from the show. Fell in love with it then and with the show as well. been a fan ever since. when i win the lottery Danny, i'll get you to build me one!
That is my favorite car from your show.
Hey Danny, here's a thought that might help with the pain of having to sell this baby of yours. How about finding a 1967 hard top GTO and theme it like this one or like the movie car of xXx but from the unveiling moment of the car, and not with all the gadgets they added to the car at the end of the movie. That car was just purely badass...!!!
I feel for you brother, it’s always difficult to get rid of something you like !
Thing is when you own a custom shop and have great guys
working for you. Its always an option to build another.
Guys like me could only wish to even have 1/4 of that car to
go out on Saturdays cruising loll.
Id bet the farm Danny will find another if he has not already
to rebuild something just as cool if not better lolll.
Just watched the episode of you letting the galaxy go, my dream car!!!!
Plus a boat-tail riviera. I remember that episode, too.
Loved that car! Seen the episode that he bought the car. After got it built just couldn’t let it go! 67 GTO or a 67 Chevelle SS. My favorite cars! Oh and of course the 70 Roadrunner!
I know this hurt Danny, I absolutely love this car too
Ever since I saw the first Triple X and saw this early body style, i decided that was the dream car for me. If i only had that kind of money to take it off your hands :(
I love his builds if I could afford it I'd let him build my 73 Cheyenne.
Long Live the Count
I'd let him build my 76 Nova
The smile on your face when you gassed the engine brought one to mine as well. I had a 1968 GTO back in the day, but the '67 has always been my favorite GTO body style.
Sounds like beautiful music to me.
Danny your all heart man
I felt the same way when I sold my 1971 Ford van. I drove it all around the country. Cars have personality!!
I absolutely love that car. Remember the show when u got it.
Watched your show tonight and was deeply saddened with the news that Steve Barton had died. His car collection is/was truly incredible. The fact that his Caddy won the Ridler Award is very gratifying and a suitable memorial. Topping that off with the sale of your Goat and knowing how much you loved that car is a real downer. But I know you will carry on and go on to bigger and better things cause that's who you are!!!
You'll have another GTO within a year! Take the next one on the Power Tour, that would be a blast.
When ya toss the “not for sale “ price, and they jump, you gotta take it. You’ve got an amazing collection, Danny. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
That startup of the engine cost $27 in gas.
😂😂😂😂😂
And worth every penny!
@@DennyBlessedDCT no kidding!
How much is gas near you? (Real question)
@@MrBLee2015 Around $2 per gallon.
Idk if it’s just me but Danny seems like the most genuine person in the world, just an all around amazing human being. I know it’s been done but bro I need you to build me a purple Plymouth Satellite!
Damn Danny is gonna need some counseling after this! I hope that “ I don’t wanna sell it price” included therapy sessions! Hahaha!
I know that business is business, and you got to do what you got to do, but that was a tough video to watch.
To the businessman, congratulations on one heck of a deal.
But to the car guy, deepest condolences.
That car has one of the most amazing paint jobs I've ever seen, I wish I could have seen it in person.
That blue is unreal.
Everything about the car was spectacular.
But Danny, the time has now come, to build an even better one.
It's all good there's gonna be a GTO 2.0 just like the purple Plymouth
It will be loved Danny. It was my favourite too. Thanks for the video.
Dam Count you are a better man then me bro love that car also you do awesome work
I wonder what the "not for sale price" price was. 100k ?? Maybe 150k ??
On last nights show, filmed in feb., he threw out a price of 100k and almost took 82.5k...so im sure at least 100k...well worth it!!!
What idiot would pay 100k for a 30k car
@@gr7673 Find me one please

Hey Danny we all love you at my house, totally understand where you're coming from, I remember when you built the GTO and decided to keep it, my first thought was I'd keep it to, I love that car.
that was a nice tow rig
Danny get another ! That one was great ! Build another you'll get that smile back again ! Love your dedication to your love of cars !
That is one beautiful automobile! I hope you got six figures Plus.
I have had those days! You can say business is business all day long but the pain is real. 22 years ago I sold a car and bike that meant a lot to me,but I couldn’t live in the car with 3 little girls and my wife . My colon ruptured and I was out of work for a long time. But... time and hard work I have a 68 firebird conv. With a bitchin stroked 428, a 65 impala, and a 59 vette . Life is good. God bless
That car is beautiful i never would think thst danny wouls ever sell it and ps i need you too build me a bad ass 1988 Oldsmobile cutlass danny Thanks and love you're show Couting Cars I'm a hug fan
I feel your pain Count, few things hurts as much... Once upon a time there were 5 ol fastback mustangs parked right where I'm standing at the moment writing this.. Those were my dream. Now just a memory...
im glad to know that you are in peace in letting the GTO go. you are a real car guy and business man as well. God Bless you Danny, hope to see you for a very ery long time in TV /web
How many Cubics after Stroking 400??? How much it Sell For? You Leave Too Many Details OUT! One of the Reasons we watched!
That’s my favorite car too Danny. That GTO is a classic. But bills need to be paid. Much respect Danny.
It had to been like 100,000
Love that 67 GTO
