Just to answer FAQs: they tried VR but it doesn’t work - rider needs realtime interaction with the bike. And yes, it needs a bigger screen - this was a temporary solution. Loving the pros in the comments!
I've worked on fighter jet simulators used to train military pilots, so technically I am a pro.... haha I dug the video guys, great experience, really good tool to really learn the track.
Not really cool to belittle your viewers just because you don’t like their feedback
What do you mean needs real time interaction with the bike. In no way would vr hinder this...
@@gpzfan5272 life must be hard as a snowflake
I work in AR and VR hardware design, so I guess you could call me a pro! LOL! I can see that not working as it'd cause motion sickness with the movements not matching up. Would be good to see a real-time version built in a games engine in future. That's where things get really powerful and immersive for rider training (and fun!!).
1. The back needs to be able to step out to simulate drift motion.
2. This needs to be in vr
3. Hydraulic pump at front and rear to simulate wheelie/endo
Then this thing would be insane
I have one. This video appears to show ther base model. With the addition of the SG Platform, it can simulate step-out and drift. It does go up and down on the front suspension as well. It doesn't need VR. The video only shows the MTS software- if they load up MotoGP23, it's full on and with all the neural sensors switched off in game, this thing is insane to ride!
@@lutan1 can you provide a video of your version? can not imagine that it goes up and down with this kind of setup. thanks.
I think the reason it tires you out so quick is cos there is no wind and centrifugal forces that usually take some of the weight off your body.
Wind can be added.
Does this remind anyone else of the super hang on sega arcade machine?
Beat me to it I,am too slow
And super hang on is prob as useful as this to help real riding 😂
YES!!! in my racing days, when winter got a hit on the season,i was spending hundreds of dollars on this damn machine. the one we had was the IOMTT version of the sega game.there was 2 bikes side by side, and you would race the guy next to you..the floor around the bikes was always really, really slippery lol.
Bro low-key where I got my love motorcycles now that I'm thinking of it
All that effort and they use a little TV on the wall as the screen 🤦😂😂
Facts
TRUE
I wanted to say to😆
Their latest video use proper VR.
Despite lag and pathetic 15 FPS - it looks like cool idea.
Lag? it is a video onboard! at least the rider is not fast as he should, but the software goal is to make the movements as much faithful as you can. the telemetry report shows you the difference between you and the video
@@MotoTrainer And, as the screen shows (top black bar) it's a streamed video (Windows wireless screen feature) which will probably cut the fps down a bit more.
Its lagging or not? Looks like a second delay towards the screen
Lagging? It's a real-life onboard lap, but yes, in lo-res
@@FortyFourTeeth i mean like your moving the bike and on the television it takes a second longer. Or do my eyes deceive me🤣
@@FortyFourTeeth He means to ask if it's moving in "slow-mo". Which I get the feeling it is, moving wayyy too slow. The image on the screen that is.Bum speed just right
Seems a 1 second delay or so but it’s a cool idea. Might need a bit more power in the processing department.
@@FortyFourTeeth On video it looks like a low framerate, was this the case in person?
Was the gameplay smooth, or a little choppy?
Thanks guys for the review. See you soon to test the latest release
I need that in my living room by 2030!
It's ten past five now. There's still time ....
After agenda 2030 it’s the only bike you’ll be allowed to ride
me too !
Nice, I hope this develops a lot more and become even more available. Seems like good fun.
Surely it depends what you’re using it for. To gain cues for particular tracks this is better than using a car racing sim. Yeah you won’t get the exact experience of riding a bike but I don’t think that’s the application. If you have to use the same inputs it will be a valuable tool for pro riders, as we can see from the amount of exertion on Boothy’s face post lap. Go to the gym or do this for 2 hours a day? Where’s my leather flip flops...
Perfectly summarised
Needs a bigger screen - Look at all that empty wall
A waay bigger screen or some kind of VR is definitely needed
@@Twilzeth VR would be insane on that lol
Exactly 😈
theres a guy in pennsylvania in the USA with a ducati on one of these setups. more screens, much better than the setup featured here. I'll try and find a link
@@reesinator Pennsylvania, you say? That’s only two hours from me. Where at in PA? 👀
It shouldn't lean so much - in fact it should lean the other way, so the rider feels the force pushing him down, towards the tires contact point. Also needs to tilt front and back to simulate acceleration, braking and weehlies. And most important - a lot bigger screen or one fixed to the bike and surrounding the rider. That should fix it. Nice video as always boyz!
Can't wait for a new bbb with you 3
Really cool setup, sure it can be better with a 270deg screen set up for a more immersive experience. Having worked on fighter jet simulators, it would be cool to get that tech to one of these simulators. Still pretty awesome! Oh and a killer sound system.
Now This is pretty cool! I've made some motion rigs but this is pretty complicated. I gotta give you props my friend! DMAX motion sim
Looks mint 🙌🙌proper work out like a real bike 😉😉😉
I can see this getting better and better... bigger TV is an easy fix. Would love to have a go -
Nice one lads, great video :)
This looks Brilliant!
Less injuries for the 44teeth crew. Looks like good fun but not a substitute for the real thing.👍🇦🇺🍺
Perfect for post-lockdown corporate entertainment. Beats those indoor golf simulator things
Just needs the 50p slot! Cheers guys top entertainment, keep it real .... and no swearing ...
I bet that would be a good workout for the season and it might make you stronger than the other competitors you come up against only because you can do it when you want indoors right
Can't take a bike simulator serieus when the horizon is tilting. If I tilt my head or lean a bike the horizon will stay level. If anything the horizon will move upward visually when you lean .So not feeling this at all. It's a nice toy though.
Love to see this with a VR headset!
see , that is what I was wondering too. It could be a whole lot more immersive with VR.
It would only be the real world centripetal and gyroscopic forces that would be missing.
Looks awesome. Bet it’s mega in person... sort if thing that would be a good attraction at the 44teeth festival I’m sure your planning for when Rona fucks off
Just watching this video makes me feel short of breath 😂
Impressive!! Would love a go on that !
Fantastic toy! Well done men
I was hoping you didn't come off and hurt yourself lol 😂 glad you had all the leathers on
It needs a fan in front to give the feeling of picking speed. I want one for the Man Cave.
I’d love this for my garage.
Now that’s a lot of fun 🤩
One of these would be great for lockdowns
As if you would catch corona on a motorbike
Looks awesome
How does it feel to corner? Without forward movement, and inertia? Cornering on a bike is easier up to speed, does it simulate all that? Does it straighten back up? That would be sick.
I'm thinking a treadmill either side with rough grit sandpaper as the belt either side of the bike so when your knee touches the deck it actually wears away your sliders, and a massive fan either side of the tv that is directly adjusted to blow wind that matches the speed. Oh, and a Buckaroo setting for those pesky high-sides. You know, like those big motorized bulls you can ride at the classier pubs in Blackpool.
Can you do the "doctor's dangle" on this one?😂😂😂😂😂😂
frickin awesome!
Having been involved with simulators before I was amazed how inexpensive this thing is.
If you compare it to car sims, it's a bargain
How much extra for wheelie mode?
@@FortyFourTeeth except this is functionally worse than a cheap Logitech wheel. Just following a video of a lap? And it's 15k??? C'mon now.
@@banboosy Just one actuator on this rig exceeds the quality of and of the latest and greatest (aka recycled G25 aka older than some commenters in this very section) wheels Logitech will EVER produce. C'mon now. lol
Just because it's following a lap here, that doesn't mean it can't control a lap.
@@starfox_wr-45e93 can it control a lap? Please show me it doing so. Even the cheapest car simulator can control a game and can give you feedback. Far more advanced than you just following one lap from one rider and trying to emulate what they’re doing.
Can you properly steer/counter-steer the bike or just "lean" into corners? I would think quick changes of direction would be rather difficult without being able to manipulate the handle bars.
All the fun without the risk of dying
Wait I am a bit lost, is it connected to the console because it looks connected to me not just prerecorded? Love the idea, agree a bigger screen plus two on either side for a wider peripheral vision, black room and sound system would make this epic! Understood this is at early stages but I am in! 👍👊
Seems surprisingly interesting. I would have liked to see some data analysis against a world champion...
The physics of a riding motorcycle is out of this world. Where's the counter-steering?
Does the steering work?
But how do you feel or sense a lack of
Traction before it crashes? I don’t understand
I think the real question is can it simulate a Suzuki GSXR125 on a go kart track so you can get some training in for the upcoming race series? Looked bloody exhausting. Two laps and you’re knackered. Definitely beats going to the gym. I want to see the Moto Trainer version of a “Spin” class where you all just race each other for an hour.
A couple of industrial fans are needed for extra immersion. Desperately want one.
Would love to try it
Why is the TV screen so small?
This needs to be played on a projector or even VR...
When a gamer become track rider
Any plans on stocking up on black 44Teeth stickers?
Everyone knows the ultimate bike simulator is at the arcades!
You can't look all the way through the corner like 90゚needs VR. But it looks fun
This with piboso GPBikes as its got VR Support would be amazing. Best motorbike sim game out there.
3.2.1. back in the room Kenny Craig is back on track Awesome
Think Bike Gear in Leyland have one of these too. I imagine they'll be quite popular if there's only 2 in the UK.
Well that's my crimbo prezzy sorted this year!
I have an Ideal you should put a dyno and run the bike so you can shift thru the gears also. Do you have Isle Of Man track in your simulator? Hears an ideal you can take the vibration parts from a basic Xbox controller and enlarge and make them large enough to fill the vibration on the left handlebars and the right. that way you can feel if your front tire is slipping or losing grip just and ideal to help make your simulator more authentic please let me know what you think of the ideals I have for your simulator.
That is so cool.
Really cool❤❤❤I absolutely love it❤❤❤💪💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️
I would have thought I couple of screens linked together might give a better experience 🤔
I’m thinking VR, if it could be incorporated into a comfortable helmet ( weight wise). But it definitely needs more than 1 screen, maybe a projector.
It's not obvious from the video whether there is any significant pitch motion - it seems to just squat slightly on breaking - is anyone able to elaborate?
What are the actual user inputs to the device?
Great setup, sure a projector would make it more submersive
It goes under water too!
Why no vr headset?
I would say the tactility of the bike you are riding would be odd...I'd rather have 3 big screens in front of me without UI and working gauges on bike. I may be wrong tho.
Beat me to it i,am too slow
VR would be perfect, as long as it was built into a comfortable helmet (weight wise). I felt that one screen wasn’t enough, maybe a projector, but then quality might be affected unless your spending crazy amounts.
@@404_BrainNotFound augmented reality would be the right choice probably.
Just to answer FAQs: they tried VR but it doesn’t work - rider needs realtime interaction with the bike. And yes, it needs a bigger screen - this was a temporary solution. Loving the pros in the comments!
Damn I need one of these 😂. I wish they would have let you try a game like motogp 20 or ride 4 with it. I can see the value of trying to match the control inputs of a professional rider but I think someone buying one of these would spend just as much time playing games with it in the long run.
now motogp4 and ride4 are compatible
Would love up and down mobility too, like the front lifting or diving, and some feedback through the shocks too, and ultimate sim. Obviously I wasnt there but imo it be incredible if it did
It does! I've ridden one of these in a redbull section and a race event, the shocks are compressed when the brake lever is pulled.
Screen looks like it's running at 20fps. Glitchy
Edit: so your watching a video and trying to match the inputs of the original rider in the video recording. Explains the choppiness as it's not a game engine.
Has it got traction control and anti wheelie?
Too bad the screen is so small and in one static place. It screws up your sight line when you should be looking around the inside the corner instead of straight in front of the bike
thats awesome,Ride 4 is pretty fun with a controller but that would be mega Nigel!
It would definitely save on speeding fines! 😂
I'd rather have the speeding fines (which largely, during lockdown are almost impossible to get, because there's no cops anywhere around here 🤣)
It honestly looks completely stupid and lame and I can't see what use it actually had? No breaking force, no road surface feedback, no wind resistance, no sense of distance on the track (at least make it VR for sense of immersion!?). Just seems mostly like the arcade games we used to have in the 80s and 90s.
I take it it do's not include the bike.
Where is it please can’t find uk site
Just can't see how it'd feel realistic enough to be worth it.
Needs a bigger screen ! Looks awesome though
This beats the newest motogp game any day!
Then turning a bike the g-force still goes down towards the seat, g-force wise a bike never lean, it's always at balance.
Is this simulator available for sale ? Vr supported ?
Wrap round white wall and a projector in the nose cone or off the roof, it’s awesome! Just need £12k and a spare bike chassis 👌
Trying to figure out what bike that is, if it is indeed based on a real bike
Money no option i'd buy this, maybe have a few linked up to the xbox for mates to join in.
How many laps could you manage in each stint?
All that tech and the smallest TV ever on a massive wall, needs a projector
Is the steering locked on that bike?
Do they offer a VR option? Looking straight ahead as you go into a corner isn't exactly good form. Other than that it looks brilliant.
What Arai graphic is Fagan running?
The only bike id get me knee down on
All that tech and such a medium size screen. Why not get a projector onto the wall?
New MOTOGP 2021 peripheral? Ill get rid of all my furniture to make space for this.
The software still needs some polishing. The lean angle on and off screen looks a bit off at times
Imagine this with VR goggles
This in VR..... would be bad ass
Now they just need a VR helmet or a 80+ inch screen. I'm sat in front of a bigger 4k screen on my desk right now, surely they can pop for something bigger.
Looks a fun game but you can't look through the corner. VR might help with that...guess as a circuit trainer it would be good. Maybe the crashing was a symptom of lack of 'feel'? Does look impressive though.
I have a spare room and £13600 I’m about to spend on a new bike. Does this require tax MOT and insurance??
Fagan's new Arai lid is 🔥🔥🔥
Goes perfectly with the leathers 🤪
