Hey guys, thanks so much for watching another crazy adventure of mine!!! i took a bus from new york to LA. It costs 250$ dollars. It would have cost 75 dollars to fly lol but i wanted to do this for the experience.

Wow long trip.
Beautiful bridge
The town is called Cambridge
@@Maryjanebyarm this will be an experience that you'll treasure for your lifetime! Glad you've made it safely...enjoy!😃
Last time I took Greyhound I vowed never again. Within the first 5 minutes the guy next to me was asking for a bite of my sandwich lmao.
Llabbbbb
Omg
😂😂😂
😂 I would prob give a piece or maybe a granola bar if I feel like a person is hungry.
😆
I did that from DC to LA. Riding through the Grand Canyon was unforgettable. The whole bus of people got quiet. Our country is huge. It is life changing. Trust.
What bus were you on and what route did you take? It doesn't make any sense to drive past the Grand Canyon between those two locations...
I do stuff like this by myself all the time and everybody calls me crazy lol. So glad to see I’m not the only one who loves doing different extraordinary things! Loved this vlog 👏🏽
Screw them do you bro
I travel from Mississippi to Sacramento California and I'm here now
That was pretty amazing journey on the Greyhound bus! I personally would take the train or fly, going cross country like that. But, good job!! 🤟
Yup females hmu
You're not a petite young woman though
This is what living is about. As she said, it would have cost $75 to fly and would have gotten her there in about 5 hours. She spent more to do this. We must conquer fears and allow ourselves to experience new challenges daily. Thats what living is about.
I'll be 40 years old in January and you've just given me the extra boost to do this for myself. Despite the situation our world is in right now a person cannot stop living, because dreams die if you don't live.
That’s right! I’m JUST now getting my nerve back to travel to the grocery store 🤣
sgissweet845 I encourage you to go for your dreams. I am from Texas, I traveled from there to California in 2015 will my four children: ages 10, 7, 3 and 4 months. I was 38 years old then I’m 41 now. You can do it! 😊
@@Tabby.cat2 These are tough times for everyone and you are a strong, amazing woman. Women like in this day of age have a lot of challenges but we must stay classy. It's the only way to go
@@tiawilliams6187 I've wanted to take a solo train trip for literally decades and I know it's time. The 40's will be very interesting and adventurous for me!
Me too! I want to see the Atlantic coast and Pacific coast. I'm in Houston TX so I will bus to Florida 1st. Maybe Jacksonville 😊!
This was Visually Aesthetically pleasing 😭 but 70 hours on Greyhound now that’s an experience!
I couldnt make it on a greyhound 7 mins ...Hats off to ya
Yeah it's beautiful when you're watching clips and cutouts of the video but not while you're doing it😂🤣
Wow!! I’ve always wanted to do this as a kid and now I’m an adult... even more. And you did it during a pandemic!! I can’t even imagine the moments you had. In and out of each city. The people you spoke to and the interactions. LOVE THIS!!
Nothing worst than sitting on a greyhound bus for 72 hours with everybody taking off their sneakers and socks while their feet start stanking
can the windows open?
@@FloridaMan69., no they can't, and said people need to wear Odor Eaters in their shoes.
That was so nice of Leo. He was mesmerized by your beauty
Girl.. I thought you meant a LEO = Law Enforcement officer.. 😆
Leo was on one lmao
Yeah, ain't no coincidence those chocolates landed on her seat 😀
You're blessed to find a clean greyhound station bathroom. Gurl, usually they're bathrooms look like a murder scene...lol
I agree. Each time that I've rode Greyhound with Las Vegas being my final destination, the bathrooms and sink areas are lack-luster and not very clean, some of the locks on the bathroom stalls do not lock or are broken, overall I just wash my hands and I'm out!
😂😂😂
If you're lucky. Most look like disaster areas, LOL.
St. Louis was the cleanest for me
This is true
I did this with TWO TODDLERS -LA to OHIO.
Yes! I broke down when we had a 4 hrs layover in Columbus,Ohio.
Sounds like a hell of a story
Did they check your bags?
See I was about to say I can’t do stuff like this anymore because I have a child😩 she’s now a toddler. We fly to Puerto Rico twice but that was only 4 hour trip. Any tips? She’s a toddler now and I’d love to do something like this with her. Give me tipssssss😩
You see how many different ways of life there is in America that way. There's actually so many choices. It's strange how most stay locked in one place, especially when they're not really happy.
Yes indeed. It's good to travel but to also stay safe. Imma tell my kids y'all could go anywhere y'all want.
Very true statement. It’s crazy where a person could literally only be in there 50’s or 60’s and never left their state. Some people just think in their four corners
Some dont have money
@@ajl2232 Other than people with impediments, it's usually a preference for a certain way of life. A lot of these small-town people do not want to live a pressured, tight-scheduled urban life where they have to step-up how they look and act. Because of this they're okay with a rather rough and tumble way of life. I lived a while in a rural town and saw it for myself. They're neither right or wrong.
Fr I never thought I’d love Nashville so much and okc. Flagstaff cool too. The whole az
Girl, you'll need a nice hotel and a hot bath and a cup of tea.
And a chiropractor 😉
stay tuned for the next vlog :)
And lots of sleep
I wish we had some of those sleep pods available in a more modern and clean way at the bus stations and train stations. But ...🤷🏾♀️ who knows when we’ll get there.
😂😂😂
I would have loved that LONG TRIP. You need to teach people how to travel that has never did things like you. I would definately listen and learn
Girl you said it right. Some people who visited overseas are amazing how China Synapore Japan and certain country in Europe trains are so modern and high speed. When they come back to the states they are so amazed at what they saw. America spends too much of our taxes on Military. Even Trump mentioned about the airports in other countries.
I love greyhound trips!
I love bus trips and train trips
She appreciates the little things... chocolates... Treating others well is what this world was meant to be
The last greyhound bus trip I did was back in the 1980's when smoking was allowed. I set next to a woman that when one cigarette was out she would light the next one. Non stop from New York to Chicago. I was finished. Once I got to Iowa, I said to myself that was the last time. My entire body hurt. You did New York to California. You did your Thang!!! Congratulations
i did a round trip from nyc to san diego on grey hound back in the late 80's and vowed never to do that again. It took a whole day just to get through texas.
@@mattyrock2467 It takes a whole day to get through Texas even if you are driving a car :)
@@jarjarbinks3193 yep. saw nothing but mountains and cattle for a entire day it seemed. I will never take a bus across country again.
yea bro. i was in my early 20's back then and had patience. at least i can say i did it.
Greyhound didn't allow smoking in the 80's
Wow girl you are brave!!! So curious about this experience. Can’t wait to watch!
I'm a Greyhound driver and want to do a cross country trip myself. The longest I've done is Cincinnati to Tampa...as an employee. I'm sure it would be slightly different as a full on passenger.
Bet you see some crazy shit.
That’s awesome ✊🏾
Do you change the driver? or its just you alone
Seen the craziest stuff mostly not the best on and around the greyhound lol. Don't leave your stuff behind you. It will get taken
Hello, are those greyhound buses chairs comfortable? Thanks.
70 hours with a mask? You’re a really strong lady. Most people would struggle after a few hours.
Masks reduce oxygen intake and increase viral load making you more likely to get sick.
I took one of these kinds of trips not too long ago , I went from Baltimore to Texas and it was 50 hours there and back , our train even crashed along the way but I got to see so much and it was the first time I actually felt myself wondering where my adult life is gonna lead me
I really admire your fearlessness. You’re amazing !
Thank you so much!
She's taking a bus ....chill
Gsn Have you watched her other videos? That’s what I’m referring to & her traveling alone all over the world, not a fucking bus ride so you chill . Maybe one day someone can say to you what I said to her so you can feel good about yourself & all accomplished. Until then stfu
@@DarrissaF traveling all over the world by URSELF seems fun not scary if its scary too u then its just not for u
Taking a greyhound is the equivalent of riding a scooter from LATO NYCITS SO UNCOMFORTABLE I SWEAR
Leo did sound kind of sexy on the intercom😩😂 I loved this video though girl !! Glad you’re safe.
DIDNT HEEEEEE lol
I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought it 😭

Yessssss he does... I thought the same thing guuurrrl!😂😂😂
Call him when you get a chance and thank him for everything..😊
i was looking for a covid-era greyhound vlog to ease my stress about taking my first greyhound. thanks for making this video!
OMG your stamina and determination to endure that is beyond my comprehension. I once took an 18 hour Greyhound trip. The overnight portion was brutal, I was so sleep deprived, couldn't get comfortable in those seats for that length of time. Props to you!
It's your fault who takes a greyhound sober
WOW! What a trip! I think it's pretty cool that you did it. And, I'm honored that you used my song "Body Language" in your video, Maryjane. I'm always happy to see you use it :)
I saw your music on thematic ! very good

😆
He deffinetily wanted to hit this one 😂😂😂
Finally somebody saw it lmfao
Did that ride back in 1998 lol but it was from Vegas to Nashville. An experience I will never forget. Go Mary Jane be safe!
🤗
I would have taken an airplane and called it a day. Grey hound was a nightmare for me. I hate changing buses
That's was dope, I take greyhound often and this video made me feel like I just took another ride... AWESOME 😊
My experience on groundhound is it's always a drunk person, someone smelling like piss and someone getting loud doing the most and end up getting put off bus
Can you drink on the bus?
@@greysonG10 alcohol ,no guess people drink there drinks before boarding
that happens on Airplanes all the time
My husband and i drove from Minnesota to Montreal Canada, and than Montreal to Niagara Falls , and from Niagara falls to New York.....it was EPIC..... that was in 2013. You make me wanna do it again. Enjoy your trip girl! 💝💝💝🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Thanks for sharing. When I was 17 in 1977 I took Greyhound from LA to NY for $75. What an experience.

But have to respect her because she always travel alone, that kind of scary though and dangerous there so much crazy things going on in the 🌎
That was my fiancee way of thinking until I told her to go to Europe by herself. She ended up loving it and wants to do a few more.

I feel you girl I've been in a same situation before traveling from LA to Baltimore Maryland on a greyhound bus it was the longest bus ride ever It literally took days for me to get there so my love and blessings goes out to you may God continue to watch over you, your definitely an inspiration...
The last time I rode Greyhound was in 1998. It was a great experience and just seeing the country was awesome. I just subscribed to your channel.
Currently on a 52 hour bus ride on the ol hound, by myself. Missouri to Florida. I will say, Indianapolis bus station was by far the craziest in the middle of the night. Love your video chica!
Stay safe and healthy.
Love your video and the music was slamming, lol. I will think about doing a cross country bus trip too.
Excellent video Maryjane love from the Scottish Highlands x your music was so cool and calming thank you x
Can you imagine is Leo ended up being your future husband? God sends people in your life when you least expect it!
Sis....I'm a travel UA-camr from NYC and you inspired a brother to step his game all the way up... You're a champion through and through.
Your 🎶🎶choices and editing to encapsulate this long bus journey = well done and I reckon, the Hershey chocolates bus driver , Leo, was crushin' and maybe has done that before = still sweet, lookin' after your comfort! ☺
Great film, stunning music. Fantastic! Very much enjoyed it.
when I visited the US years ago I did a 16-hour trip and I was honestly knocked out, stiff legs, puffy faces, my cousin's feet swelled up and everything
The fact you stayed cheery for over four times as long a journey has me confused but I realise its cos your a seasoned traveller
Leo is an earth-angel with a soft spot for you. Such a beautiful gesture.🌹🌼Keep us abreast😘 Great scenery and great music as always!!!Thank you for the much needed peaceful and calming entertainment.
Yessss! Her music is ALWAYS great!

The bus driver leaving you chocolate made MY day 😩😂❤️

Thank you for this interview on your trip !! I will be taking a trip from SAC, CA to INDIANAPOLIS , INDI so I appreciate this video and now seeing previews of my stops it reduces my stress alot thank you for this video ❤️
Nice video. I've never had a prob traveling cross country via Greyhound. It's nice letting someone else drive while I chill and relax. Amtrak is refreshing too.
I took Greyhound from New York NY to Homestead Florida and for me that was a lot of hours but your trip took the cake. Thanks for sharing .Your video took me back to my lonely travels.
This seems like a nice experience. Something to do, when you want time alone.
I recall taking a bus from Colorado Springs to Cleveland. If you want time alone you might be disappointed. I recall smelly alcohol breath that was unavoidable. On the other hand, there were some like Leo along the way. Those people really save the trip.
Only because of the pandemic. I've had a few times with a week long trip, you almost go crazy, and everyone stinks.
lOVE a good road trip
I did this once.... It was so exhilirating.....Met cool people too....
yes, @Genesiswilson. Awesome experience. I might try that...again...and stop in New Mexico for a day and then keep going and stop in Phoenix for a day...
Subscribed here from Springfield, Missouri. When I travel by Greyhound (Amtrak is preferred) I sit in the front of the bus closer to the driver also. It does make you feel better. Some bathrooms in the terminals are better than others, and some rest stops are better than others. I always bring chips and food with me, and keep myself hydrated as well. For the most part, no one begs for anything, which helps. Thank for the amazing footage and that awesome music.
Very relaxing video, with great soundtrack to go along... I did Los Angeles to Phoenix Az and that was enough! LOL! Met a friend on the bus! In one day Im going to see a friend in Belgium (from
Paris) and it will be with Flixbus. Train is too expensive. We cannot stop living in those crazy times! Love you! Cannot stay in one place too long like you...
Love from Virginia I DEFINITELY want to try this soon VIRGINIA TO TEXAS BECAUSE IM MOVING but I’m a little nervous because of the virus YOURE SO BRAVE THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO IT GAVE ME CONFIDENCE
Asia Mccormick if you d ok not mind me asking how are you getting there?

Wow, that was visually amazing!! The desert Southwest was really cool to see.. Great video!!
Lovely and peaceful vistas in your journey. It brings laid-back memories of when my late dog 🐕 traveling with me and my mother. We've done many cross-country trips ever since childhood (in all modes of transportation) and can attest to how exhilarating, challenging and tiresome the whole thing is. But I love it. Traveling is like a muscle. I feel like I have done a few marathons within the country, and I am still young.
I still don't know how traveling will be for me post-pandemic, but it'll never be the same. There's always going to be a personal standard to measure up against the new normal.
The bus driver announcer guy's voice is so soothing
I loved this video! The scenery was beautiful, and the music was fire! Thank you for taking us along on your journey! Peace and Light to you always! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Who sings that song Once Again?
Omg she is just so darling. I love her stinking face!!!! She is so brave.... and the determination 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Go girl!
Great video and nice music! Riding the bus long distance is definitely an experience and a half; my Greyhound trips have pretty much been no more than 4-5 hours in the northeast, but the cross country trip is a bucket list item. At the moment, according to the Greyhound website, there are three direct buses a day that leave NY for LA; two take the routing you did, through the southwest; the other goes through Denver and the Rocky mountains. That's the one I'd probably go for!
Hey, people knock busses but you can't beat the scenery. I love stopping at the little towns. In a plane, all you see is clouds and sky. Plus, people are usually really nice. The bus drivers are usually very helpful and watch out for you. Nobody has ever stolen anything from me, because there is always someone that looks out for you and we take care of each other. I like bus trips. The only thing is not being able to sleep. Other than that I'd always take a bus.
I love greyhound trips! Stopping in all those beautiful little side towns in the middle of beautiful nowhere! Especially Florida 😍 do urself a favor and greyhound thru Florida it’s like being on a film set 😍😍
I would rather fly spirit than stuck in the bus for 70hrs
Oh yeah me too
@Michaelle Mcgill plane are safer than any transportation.
John Edwards I laughed at your comment lmao
Or even SOUL PLANE! 🤣
Wow, you'd rather fly spirit? I can tell you really hate bus rides 😂🤣
This video is so inspiring!! ❤️ Stay safe and healthy
I did the same trip back in 1978 at 12 years old, mind you I was with my Mother and Sisters.
This was awesome and Tfs!😊 I did this 24 yrs ago from NYC to Florida with my 10 yr old daughter just for the experience and new journey we were embarking on! Three days later...my furniture was delivered and life's been great since then! 😄
I know that you are a worldwide traveler, but you should do a state by state tour of the US. There are so many beautiful places in our country.
I hate to say it, but as a young Black woman she could be in more danger in the wrong parts off certain states than she is in her world travels.
Stay safe.
I totally agree
@@SS-kk1pb Exactly. This is the very reason I am afraid to drive across the states. It's on of my biggest dream, a solo trip across the US. But this is only possible if I skip certain states/areas because of racism (mostly) and sexism.
S S This! Im planning a road trip soon and making sure to note all the sundown cities!
It's a lot here to see
You are awesome... Until someone truly does it and experiences it they will never understand... Greyhound can be a mystical experience.. A greyhound trip across the country and you will be a different person and learn a lot about yourself and others... And you get the best sleep afterwards!!!! Great video,, 1Love
Whew good for you on taking the trip. I'mma do this one day, but for now I'mma just take them flights lol

I did this exact route but in the opposite direction, LA to Philadelphia (not all the way to NYC). This is one of the better Greyhound videos as far as capturing the basic feel of the trip. Long, tiring, lots of great sites to see on the American road, lots of convenience stores, some really nice ones like that Loves in New Mexico.
