Nick's issue was alluded to before it happened when someone said he was just spreading his health issues with the many babies he was having. He is very irresponsible with that. Children are not acquisitions they are human beings.
The whole BBL and big butts being "in" never sat right with me. It was a body type appreciated with in black and latino communities for decades and the only time when main stream media started to celebrate it was when it centered whiteness. Of course when the when the main white mascot for this body type ditched it, her followers ditched it too. As a curvy, pear shaped black woman myself I can say that I have met men of every race who like big booties(maybe its because I'm on the east coast). I think the reason why this 'trend' didn't last is because it was a look that was mostly obtained through plastic surgery. A woman with a BBL doesn't look the same as a woman with a naturally curvy body. It's no shade to women who get plastic surgery, its their right, I'm just irritated that black and brown women didn't get celebrated for their bodies the way some white woman with a fake butt did.

Insecure did definitely hit close to home, but I guess that’s why it resonated with me. I’ve always been a little awkward, made poor dating decisions and questioned myself too much. The love of my life just had an oops baby with someone else this year! The show makes me uncomfortable because of how real it is, but I appreciate Issa for taking us there and showing so many unambiguously black women with great jobs and sex lives. The last season wasn’t the best, but I’ll always love and appreciate Issa for what she was able to show the world about black culture.
Insecure hit really close to home to me too. first season i saw me and my ex in issa and lawrence. by the end of it all , season 5 made me realize that i still have lots of love for him even though we are over. made me cry. she did that. it’s a classic like girlfriends .

I too, had to stop watching insecure after season one because of the real-life similarities. I actually binged all the rest of the seasons this year because I had done enough growth to be able to watch without being sad. Glad I went back and watched, though. This season brought up a lot of tough issues and helped me see my own growth through the characters’ progress.

I don't have the answer but I feel/think that SATC reboot is part of that process. I'm gratefu that they had the courage to put themselves out there. They are human beings. The attacks hurt. I can't help but wonder what effect, if any, such a tragedy would have on Nick's procreation efforts. Like did it change his perspective and encourage him to slow down or once he passes the heaviest stages of grief will he just ramp it up and create even more children?
In regards to Vivica when she "almost" did the whole family thing I think there are many women who make the other choice which is fine as well. I guess it is ultimately how you envision your life and if your'e ok with the possibility of not having kids.

People - women included (perhaps maybe especially voraciously) HATE to see older women. We really cannot stand it. And this hurts us all. SATC reboot is once again breaking new ground. yes you can SEE they are older. even with work done. i think we find that unnerving. our collective conditioning has us rejecting that which we will all become (unless you plan to die young). I don't have the answer but I feel/think that SATC reboot is part of that process. I'm gratefu that they had the courage to put themselves out there. They are human beings. The attacks hurt.
Now if you just hate the storylines that's another issue of course.

If you do decide to watch the Bachelorette, you should absolutely watch Rachel Lindsey seasons or Michelle’s season. To me it was more of a shocker that Meagan married a preacher. I've never known Meagan to be a christian at all I think she was just trying to change herself to make him happy, but they were still unequally yoked. I do find it strange how people idolized celebrity relationships. You are suppose to wait to marriage as obedience to God not because you are just copying a celebrity couple. Worship Jesus not celebs or even preachers.

Me too. Although I wasn't an extremely well-paid white woman, I identified with some of their antics in my late 20s/early 30s with my good girlfriends in NYC. Things changed as some of us married, had children, moved out of state, or all three. The way they aged in the reboot, in looks and life issues, is realistic. I hope you all live long enough and healthy enough to still enjoy the complexities of your lives in your 50s+++ 🤷🏽♀️
