The top of the line variant comes with a hybrid system. Not only will it be coding free until 2030, but it'll also return some amazing fuel economy, or so we're told. MG is the new brand that gives value- like real value for money.. my mg5 is 3 years and going strong... no issues so far...
My tita's MG5 is going strong also for 2 years. Except for the busted tail light.
Mine also is an Mg5 4 years and counting no major issues yet.
my MG is working for 12 years now. no issues whatsoever.

Not sure what the 3 speed means in the Hybrid+, when the least that I know is 4 speed for newer models. But heck that's a lot of power for a sub compact hatch.

Yep but at least 2 airbags provided in Sonet vs. other old cars like we have Hyundai Eon 2015 and still in it's prime 19KPL hiway, 14KPL city drive fuel efficiency minus airbags and all the fancy techs GL variant entry level car and we're still alive, just be careful when driving, also we have Honda ADV 150 no airbags yet we can travel Philippine loop, safe travels thanks 🥰

After buying a top spec MG as a daily driver I can say you get what you pay for. Its neutral. Not bad, not over dramatic. Its just fair for the price.

If alam mo lang mag patakbo ng sasakyan.in 6months or 1 year sira tala kahit anong sasakyan. Tapos mahirap ka bibili ng sasakyan walang pang gas na malinis(gusto sa murang petrol nag papagas). Kahit japan made pa yan masisira kagad.
Buy the Mitsubishi XFORCE for 1.6M with manual seats and 1.5 NA engine and all around plastic interior
PHP 1.1M.. Id still buy a used honda or toyota, hybrid or non--kahit after 1 or 2 yrs pag dami na repo or 2nd hand sellers.
watched other performance vids of this car, i've seen different result of 0-100 acceleration, from 7.0 sec, 8.8 sec, upto low 11 sec, acceleration of the car really depends on the % of the battery..car relies too much on the batteries to accelerate, its 3 gears had a tall ratio, thats why if you ran out of EV juice it may not be ideal for the car to just run on ICE since it only had 3 tall gears, ICE will have a hard time to get it moving, car tops out at 160-170kmh...pretty nice though for a city chick that has a extra kick & still frugal, but IMO i would've go straight to EV if have an extra as it will also have the same issue of an EV in the future...
Saw the video you're talking about. The electric motor Kw % suddenly goes down after the 2nd gear has engaged which stops the momentum. It could be dangerous when you're overtaking as fast as possible but then the Kw% has suddenly dropped. I hope they improve the electric motor and tranny tuning on this model then it could be much better
@@johnyonardpauly5601 exactly, consistency over its performance is what this car lacks, for its price it looks like it offers a lot specially on paper, but in reality with todays EV price its not too far actually, just save up a little and either go for a GWM ora 3 or MG's own 4 EV instead, both with around 170 horses and almost has the same performace as this small hatch with a roomier interior and less unrefined EV/ICE combination
Of course its cheap, SAIC is a state owned company 😂

way better that toyota's.. i owned an '08 avanza and their service is crappy.... i own an '23 Mg5.. customer service is excellent so far.. and they let you turn on your dashcam for monitoring while being serviced in the casa vs toyota... just saying. by the way that avanza is now dead- daihatsu
Their cars are good in majority, but the aftersales service of some dealerships is a nightmare.
You can trade it in for newer mg

This car is definetely the best for it's price. Having a hybrid terrain is superb! Even the non hybrid variant is way more better than cars out there ( Vios, Wigo, Raize, Avanza, Veloz and Yaris Cross ) 😂

Reliability? MG is roaming around the country since 2019. Only time can tell if they lasts long. Mas hindi reliable yung nag cheat sa consumers for the past 30years🤭😂
Yes, dealership-specific tlga ang aftersales service performance. Tska marami naring outside shops na nagbebenta ng MG-specific parts na halos within a week lang ay madedeliver na. Reliability has many factors including our driving habit and how we maintain/take care our unit. Conducting more frequent maintenance periods can also help to extend the longevity.
While the Corolla cross Gr-S hybrid cost twice the price! 😂

410k for the hybrid system AND extra 50hp and 100Nm torque? That doesn't sound justified at all unless you're a speed freak then that car screams SOLD if that's the case but, you'd save what? Probably 10 to 20 pesos per km? A person can do so much with 410k Too expensive still.
You could also add that it is also coding exempt as well.
Coding exempted, lesser pollution, instant torque response, electric motor (the future), more efficient, much more powerful. That's fairly priced for me I think.
