@@DuckBricks , I think that, if things go right, Transformers might become a new LEGO theme. Honestly, I would have preferred that Mobile Suit Gundam became the first anime/manga franchise to get a LEGO theme, but the Transformers franchise is not a bad one to use for LEGO.
2:02 The straight jacket 1 is cool, could be used for moc's! But also the bottom left is really cool, reminds me of that zombie Rick had to fight in the walking dead if you watch that show.
Unfortunately due to The new Star Wars films, lego space has been canned pretty much. The closest you’ll get is realistic astronauts and the like. Wether this was just because everyone had high hopes for Disney stoking the Star Wars fire or Disney and lego reaching some sort of deal is beyond me. A shame cuz I don’t really like Star Wars. It doesn’t really invoke a lot of creativity because of how well documented the universe and fates of important characters are. Plus there’s just so little colour.
The reworked classic spaceship and the hand of justice was cool, would've loved those as a kid. Wonder if they scrapped justice because it felt out of place of the set cause its all mostly ships and vehicles, though it would've complimented nicely with the base
1:32 totally needs to have the actual biker guy that is the last prototype LEGO Minifigure in that artwork (the guy that is on the far right on the second row, if you all are wondering) to become a part of a future LEGO Minifigures collection. With minor tweaks, he could totally be like a part of a classic Earth based biker gang. I would also like him to have a custom chopper bike for him to ride on as well, so he could be a part of a LEGO City/Town set as well. Honestly, LEGO needs to make motorcycles like that for their Minifigures.
its too bad that lego was forced to go into brands outside of their creative original ideas like these. even if they didn't sell that well, i miss that "what will they come up with next?" excitement I always had as a kid. now it's just, oh cool.... more harry potter and star wars sets..
2:01, the second one on the second row would have been a logistical nightmare to make, and he would have been difficult to put into a vehicle. Also, if you do not think that multi-headed LEGO beings are tough to make, look at the Cerberus from the LEGO Harry Potter theme....and now imagine that, minus a head, on a typical LEGO Minifigure torso. Between the difficulty of making an all new LEGO Minifigure torso Element, and the lack of opportunities to reuse that part, and its usage would be very limited, which is honestly a violation of one of the classic ideals of LEGO.
15:50 I really like this from an idea standpoint, all that would need to be done is to change to colour to the white/black. And maybe change the engine layouts between the police version of this vehicle and the criminal version. Seeing both sides using the same model of spacecraft, insinuates that this particular model of craft was a mass produced vehicle. Perhaps available on the civilian market (which is how it ended up in the hands of criminal entities). And for what ever reason, maybe due to vehicle shortages, or maybe it was just a decent all around vehicle that could be easily modified (which would be a neat way to show the differences between the two sides. The police version of this craft was modified for use in a more dangerous enforcer role, while the criminal version has more illegally modified engine and weapons setup) the police also purchased this vehicle for use in their forces.
The wheels on the prototype of the Max Security Transport are designed to lock into the ones from the final design as part of a larger drill construct from Power Miners if I remember correctly so they're actually the same size, the body is actually smaller on the prototype which makes the wheels seem bigger.
i was really lucky to find my first space police set galactic enforcer from a free tub that had nothing together just bricks and minifigs but i noticed a ton of bricks are white and different sizes, so went online to find the manual and completed this yesrerday. i know this is a somewhat older video but its popping up in my for you on youtube. so thank you mr duckbrick for making space police cool again.
15:08 i feel like this concept could've been inspired by mad max. It looks like the infamous pursuit intercepter that was the main car used by the police department in the first movie (without the yellow of course). The villains version potentially being a reference to when it gets painted black. This is somewhat supported by the fact that some of the villains are seen wearing road leathers.
I would love a space police 4, but maybe also have a larger original space theme so its not just police and criminals but other sorta space factions and civilization like how slugger did the space postal delivery thing recently.
this series was my 9-12 year old childhood, what an awesome series for kids, the sets dont hold up as well imo but for the time were good or even great, Brick Daddy is the best minifigure of all time loll
Basically all the images came from the physical BrickJournal Magazines as mentioned in the video, although some can be found on Mark Stanford’s Flickr page
Space Police 3 Still kind of feels uncomfortable because all the police officers were humans and all the aliens were the criminals and that’s a whole can of worms that I don’t want to get into
Yeah, but the concept art also showed a normal human thug as part of the Alien gang, so at least originally, the idea wasn't to have only the aliens be the bad guys.
Space Police 3 was terrible. It wasn't even a real space theme. Nothing beats Space Police 1. Space Police 2 was alright as well but didn't have a home base.
Space police 3 knocked it out of the park. I own all 6 sp1, 7 sp2 sets and all 15 space police 3 sets and can honestly say space police three is the best overall.
Another one of my favorite themes! Man I miss these along with aqua raiders, power miners, and mars mission so much
Same here! We need more original lego themes!
Atlantis too!

I love the more "mature" look of these prototypes
Agreed, love how some of them basically just look like sci-fi MOCs

I always wished the theme had a third year. All the minifigures were so cool looking.
Same - such unique and vibrant designs
@@DuckBricks I saw that u will be on Collector's Corner on MeTv tomorrow.
10:47 Mr. krabs has become the green goblin from Spider-Man.
For real now?😂
Man, I would’ve loved more sets in this line!
Same here, it’s probably my favorite modern original space theme
Please Lego, bring back the space theme!!
Was that two headed guy made? That's a pretty awesome design

I really wish we had gotten that version of the Container Heist truck (11:11) and that Hyper Speed Pursuit villain car too (12:41)
The big white blue Space Police ship looks like a remake of the Exploriens command ship. Possibly i will remake it in future too.
It does resemble that, good point!
My goodness some of these prototypes are so beautiful and inspiring to me
This is fascinating! Thank you for sharing this history!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this very interesting Video
Glad you enjoyed!

OOOHF...that Hand of Justice walker prototype looks incredible =]
Wish I could watch reviews for a lot these
Same here, maybe if I reverse engineer some of them I’ll post reviews

The prison pods used for the Galactic Enforcer prototype remind me of cryotubes for some reason

Haha yeah I can see it
I need someone to moc the hand of justice immediately
now what is next? lego Exo Force?
Yes, a Exo-Force prototypes video is also coming out soon, I can assure you of that.
@@legodavid9260 thanks for that. Exo-force Is a nice theme.
Did you ever MOC up the Slave-1 looking set? It does look very fun. If I could find the parts list, I'd love to build it

I wonder if there are instructions for the cancelled sets
I miss cheaper original lego themes

Bro... it’s a toy. Kids like pretending to zap space aliens.
let's face it its pretty realistic for the police to be racist like that, maybe not a good msg to send kids tho
