This is still my favorite smaller non-licensed Lego wave to this day. I love all the designs for the aliens and their vehicles, and, though I agree that it would have been cool to get more unique designs, I also thought that the ADU was done very well. I wish Lego would see the market for waves like this, and reboot the theme, or at least start a new similar one.
So sad we never got these. I’m sick of the City space sets we keep getting, we haven’t had a fantasy space theme since galaxy squad (RIP). Also, I’m new to your channel and this is the first time I’ve seen your LEGO collection and it’s beautiful!
I did some deep research and fun fact, The 2nd wave was gonna have the ADU retaliate at the aliens and invade their home planet, similar how it's shown in Galaxy Squad

I just realized that lego released the hazmat guy in the series 4 CMF that released about the same time as these sets. So I guess we did still get him in the end however I think seeing a hazmat guy in azure would have been really cool.
I loved Alien Conquest as a kid. When I first saw the ad in Lego magazine with the empty streets I was so hyped. I asked for Alien Conquest sets for Christmas and my birthday in 2011 and had so much fun playing with them with my brother. When they cancelled it, as a kid, I theorized Ninjago’s popularity shoved it out of the way and my brother and I resented Ninjago for that lol
You were probably right, as nowadays Ninjago is the only original lego theme still around, at least as far as non-realistic stuff goes. I remember they tried some other stuff like Chima, but nothing really caught on more. And it's a shame that they didn't keep doing imaginative shit like this.
i regret not picking any of these up when they were out! because of you now I wanna collect a few of the sets-- I do agree that the tonel clash between the aliens and humans is kind of offputting as i honestly just wanna collect the alien faction that is much more interesting to me. one aspect i like is how easily kids (and adults) can integrate these models with their pre-existing sets especially from lego city. oh! I'm sure someone has brought this up already but in the cancelled spidey crawling mech you can see the "Alien Villainess" that thankfully made it into CMF series 8. wish me luck while i try scower for that Villainess figure and a few of the alien ships!
@@DuckBricks thank you! outside the mothership i don't see many people reviewing this theme, perhaps you can be the first to review the theme as a whole!
That original concept art looked a little more lively and unique in spirit. Some of the final sets are neat but the personality of the soldiers, especially their aesthetics, and to a lesser degree the aliens’ personality don’t seem as whole as the first piece of concept art.
Really cool, I have to agree with a fair few people that moving away from the modernish urban environments would be for the best. Heck maybe even a new fantasy theme of some kind, perhaps something based on antiquity as opposed to the middle-ages.

I love how remarkably similar the head for the first alien prototype at 8:05 looks to Toxic Reapa's head from Hero Factory...
Why don’t you upload anymore?

Wow, I never made that connection but yeah, you’re totally right haha

I really wish we got more alien conquest and galaxy squad sets. Both had some amazing Minifigures particularly the allens
Always a great vid!! Thank you for the excellent work as always!!
Thanks!!
I always wanted the tripod walker because I loved War of the Worlds as a kid
Same
They need to try this theme again and double down on the unorthodox aspects.
I’d love to see a redo of this theme that went all-out on the retro-futuristic aesthetic!
Great vid as always!! Thank you Duckbricks!
*If Lego Dimensions would continue, Mars Attacks would easily fit it!*
Dang what a cool theme. So sad the second wave didnt come out, bc the bug crawler for the aliens looks super good
X-Com UFO Defense. In Lego!
man, I loved this theme
sad it didn't go anywhere

Good luck finding the sets! In hindsight, this was a really unique and interesting theme

This channel is great. I'm a new viewer and I'm really enjoying your channel
Thanks, appreciate the support!
Some of my favorite sets I never purchased as a kid were alien conquest I’ve been able to purchase a couple recently but expensive haha
Thankfully I got them all when I was younger when they released still have them right in front of me
Man, I miss Lego space themes so much
Same here
Awesome like always !
Thanks!!
Could u do Monster Fighters next? 👻
Lego would never produce a theme with that much orange. Impossible.
I love your channel, thanks dude
God I remember ADU, I was way too young to fully get into the Lego then but I always wanted these sets.
It looks like he has almost all the lego sets that is available right now, wonder how much that cost, probably A LOT
now for the lego exo-force theme?
It’s coming! Been in the works for a while now
the funny thing is, if Lego where to rerelease this line of sets today I bet tons of people would buy them
I know I would
I certainly would be first in line for new original Space sets!
Very awesome to know!

Do you still need the Pearl gold Kraakhan? I just found mine, I messaged you on Twitter about it.

That would be really nice, I’d love a pure fantasy adventure theme without cars, mechs, and planes
Really sad, loved the figures of the original
