Thank you for your efforts Steve
Thank you!
Thank you very much and it's absolutely right!
Hey Steve, i'm in a similar situation. Thanks a lot for spending your time in helping us, this really makes a difference and shows how amazing people in Cada are.
My pgwp expires on feb 24, i was lucky enough to find a job in a big bank but now I fear they will let me go for this. Let's hope for the best.
Thanks again.
Sergio
Thank you for the effort Steven, it’s definitely positive seeing you fighting for what’s the most reasonable thing to do at this time for the future of 🇨🇦
Thank you, Giovanni!
Thanks Steve. God bless you.
Thank you for raising such a valid and obvious concern.
God bless you and your family.👍✌️
Thanks Steve for raising the issue from our side. We as an international student Took educational loans, sincerely study during the college. Passionately and dedicatedly working in our fields. Supporting family in back home and paying the high taxes to the government.still we are not being considered that's feel very bad. We have sacrificed a lot in means of money time and energy. I missed the first TR to PR pathway hoping for the second one but it didn't came and this yr Crs score are way higher. Govt should give inland applicants first priority because we r also the part of economy n contributing in development of the nation. Lastly, I hope motion44 and Bill c19 will bring something for us and implemented soon.
We can hope and keep pushing. I really want to see PGWP extended at this point and I hope and trust C19 to bring forward pathways favouring international students based on the input they were asking.
Thanks Steven ...
For reaching out on behalf of us.
It’s my pleasure and my duty. Thank you 🙏
Appreciate….Thanks for standing by us…..Steven 😊
Thank you for watching and for your comment! I appreciate it 🙏
Thanks for raising this issue.
Thank you for watching Vishal
Thank you man I’ve been screaming this for so long..my PGWP expires in June..Really hope they’ll extend it for at least another year because they’ve been only doing PNP draws in express entry..like bro we have Canadian NOC experience it’s so weird that it’s hard for us to be drawn sigh
You can celebrate today 🎉
@@sjpimmigration yeah bro so happy 🥳
It is really a nightmare, and the worst thing we cannot do anything! I am sitting at 489 and I lot hope!
hey @Mohd sorry to hear this. did you apply for Work permit extension?
@@namandeepkaur8165 no
@@mohammadmohd2541 can you apply for WP EXT with a letter of explanation that you have 'x' number of years in your field and you're only 1 CEC draw away to get the ITA? and also mention that the CEC draws are not happening from a long time which unfortunately leaves talents like you behind. can you put all the reasons in the letter of explanation and apply for extension?
When is your PGWP expiring?
@@namandeepkaur8165 bro, my PGWP is 3 years long and I still have 1.5 years. However, I am not looking to extend it and they do not have any empathy, IRCC officers work like robots...They have a law that they have to follow. The law says they cannot expend the PGWP, so whatever will happen they will not expend it.
By doing what you described you can just buy time. Be under maintained status from the time you applied until you get rejected.
We should not look for extending our PGWP, we should focus on getting PR because delaying the problem would make it bigger.
@@mohammadmohd2541 thank you! I got it now. do you think buying out time on maintained status is good option for people? When extension is refused, does it effect the PR application?
During the buyout time, if we get ITA and submit our docs and get Acknowledgment of Receipt from ircc, then can we withdraw out application and apply for Bridging open work permit?
Thank you so much for raising this issue and being an advocate for us. We appreciate your voice and dedication.
My CRS is 483 and PGWP already expired on January 27th, 2023. It's truly a moment of uncertainty, anxiety, and depression. I was sad to realize I wasn't eligible for the 18months PGWP extension just because my work permit expired 27 days into 2023. Words can fully express what we're going through.
I'll be subscribing to your channel and look forward to any updated you may have that can help own dire situation.
What happened with you bro?
@@mohammadmohd2541 PGWP expired and still nothing. Hoping to get invited soon through CEC. Putting my trust in Allah on this one
@@majdevelops and indeed he wroth the trust. Soon we will get it. Do not worry bro you are not alone in this situation thousands are like us.
You are on maintained status?
Hey @Maj sorry to hear about you! Praying for you!
Did you apply for Work Permit Extension? Were you working at that time in january 2023 before your pgwp expired?
Please let me know your current situation?
Score 478 and applied for an extension of pgwp through the last public policy and haven’t gotten a response from either one.
Thank you soo much for raising this issue.
I’ve got 473 score and PGWP expiring in April 2023 and there are a lot of us in the same situation.
Please do let us know if there are any updates that could help us.
I have a meeting with the shadow minister of immigration, Tom Kmiec, on Feb 21st. I’ll be advocating hard for PGWP holders and spouses trying to reunite who have been waiting way too long. IRCC is failing at the most basic competencies.
@@sjpimmigration Thank you. We really appreciate your efforts.
@SJP Immigration Inc. Are you done with your meeting with the minister? What did he tell you about PGWP Extension?
@@sjpimmigration Hi, were you able to get any updates on the expiring PGWP situation.
@@akashjoseph5941 thanks Akash. From our conversations, we are being heard. Mainstream media may not be covering it, but immigrant media is. We need to keep writing letters, positing on social media, holding this government to account for its promises. There’s only so much opposition can do, and we can look at the fact Sean Fraser took until the last day to finally extend the Hong Kong policy.
Make your voice heard. Speak up. Speak to Canadians and newcomers alike. This government has broken our once proud and competent immigration system.
Sir, My file is old PR. When I will.get invitation letter from IRCC
Sir, When cut off score will be down
Hi Steven , in recent interview Immigration minister said he is aware of PGWP expiry scenario.. and he is working on a pathway, to come up with a solution .. you can discuss this point in your upcoming meeting and give us all some good news . appreciate your help and support
Absolutely Sohail. I believe they will extend PGWP, especially after the new jobs numbers were just released in Canada that exceeded expectations. We need a strong draws for our most qualified economic applicants, and international students are no exception. I’ll be raising these concerns at my upcoming meeting with MP Tom Kmiec.
@@sjpimmigration Thank you very much :)
I will promote your channel with my network
@@sohailmuzawar7008 I appreciate that! Thank you very much. My goal is to provide obviously commentary and lobbying efforts to IRCC but also to educate applicants from the perspective of an RCIC to assist with the immigration process. Is there anything in particular you’d like me to do a video on? A how to? Or similar that would be of value to you?
@@sjpimmigration A video on Bill C 19 implementation and its effects on students with low CRS would really help me a lot …
Hi Steven, My PGWP is expiring on 9 MARCH,2023. (Score 440- waiting since 2021 sep) I am looking for PR supporting LMIA, but it will take time as my employer has just posted the job posting. I am thinking to come on Visitor Record for a while. Do you think i would be eligible for Open bridge work-permit extension policy if there will be any , if my PGWP expire and me being on visitor record.
We are in same problem 😢
@@marke9514Have you seen any options? Because i know LMIA is one of the soultion, But that employer is asking to work for at least two years. So somewhere i will be stuck until i get my PR .
Hi Ramanpreet. For BOWP you need to be on worker status, maintained status counts as well. I’d recommend applying for a closed work permit with your employer before your PGWP expires. It will take 4 months to process anyways. You can do this even without the approved LMIA but proof of submission of the LMIA application.
Hello,
I have my pgwp expiring in June 2023 and don’t have enough points to apply for PR.
I do have a valid job in my field but the company doesn’t issue LMIA.
Could you please advise what could be done here.
Thank you!
What is their reasoning behind not issuing an LMIA? Would they explore an LMIA exempt option for you?
They don’t want to go through the complicated LMIA procedures
Is there an LMIA exempt option? Please advise if there is
@@fathimanatalia-bf4xt you could check the LMIA exemptions, the employer still needs to do an offer of employment, but hopefully you will get an ITA before June 2023 and can apply for BOWP.
@@fathimanatalia-bf4xt LMIA is actually not too complex, especially if you’re already working for them. It’s the best option, if they can support you. I did a video on how to pitch your employer for LMIA support, explaining the simplicity of the process.
Sir, Am I eligible in CEC category ?
