    Well worth the wait, even today, a very special car.

      Now a VW polo got 300 HP...And lasts 7 months, then craps out...And VW won't accept the warranty, because you drove a 1-liter turbo screamer with 300 hp too hard... Then you take a bottle of gasoline, pour it on the little shit you gave your life savings on, and light the match...Then go and buy a car from the 90-s for 1000 euro/dolar and drive your little heart out for a 100000 miles...

    The TVR Speed six is 4.0ltr NA 400hp very impressive performance!!
    It may have been later ones but the speed six did produce 400hp!!

      No - it produced a claimed 360bhp and my son's car made 343bhp on a rolling road. Some of the Red Rose spec made more.

    Its such a shame that TVR went bust, these (and sadly I can't tell from own experience as most of you also can't) must have been pure drivers cars. Built for no other purpose than fun and enjoyment while driving. And thats what we are missing out from todays cars. There's no Mitsubishi Evo, no Toyota Celica, no Nissan 400Z, no Toyota MR2, no Wiessmann, no Nissan GTR's, VW Scirocco or Corrado, no Honda S2000 or Prelude in Europe coming anymore. The only "Drivers Car" of that sort that has survived are Caterhams and the Mazda MX5 and some Porsche's. It is so sad that Inflation and economy crisis hit so hard and society can't afford such cars anymore. All people want now are those stupid crossover SUV's like the Nissan Juke or the Mazda CX30

    my favorite version of the cerebra ,i had to have it and i did it ,what a car, the ones who talk bad about it ,never drove them or bought a regular sport car probably forgeting the cerebra, this is a men´s car ,manual gears and drive it as you can ,at the end of several monthes all is controled and what seemed impossible is just regular, i never bought a powerfull car saying "i will get the most of it, let´s see if it is like they said"or if it endures my driving" it´s the same of saying "i don´t know how to drive fast cars" first you have to think all the time, "this can kill me" and everything will run smoth or not, in the video one can guess the feeling or it wasn´t a chalenge and the other sport car you have for 20 years would be enough

      Well he changed his tune not long after ... for years TG sounded like they were being paid to pimp German cars and constantly moved the goalposts about what was important in order to big up the panzers vs whatever the competition was. Audis with Playstation steering and wooden brake feel? ... forget how they drive, just look at the looks! Minging E60 BMW 5 series? Looks aren't important, feel how it drives!

    Tubular steel chassis that was poorly rust proofed. Cheaply constructed glass fibre body and depending on which engine you have a possible rebuild in as little as 6000 miles. No wonder they were sold so cheap.

    • @kingcurry6594
      @kingcurry6594 9 місяців тому +2

      More bollocks from someone who's never owned one.
      1) My Chimaera went for a body off restoration at 15 years old and 60000 miles. My friend's Porsche of similar age had to have extensive welding. But my car's now exactly as built, whereas his is welded up.
      2) The glass fibre body is light and very strong, so what's the problem? Oh, and it never rusts.
      3) The only engine with problems was the Speed Six, and then only the early ones. Most were rebuilt under warranty. My son's Speed Six Cerbera has done over 70000 miles with no issues.
      You're just butt hurt because it's faster, better looking, handles better and was cheaper than your Porsche or whatever other inferior vehicle you drive.

      @@RobsCars Ever done a V8 alarm call? I had one yummy mummy who used to really annoy me by sitting outside my house waiting for her kids (I live quite near a school) and playing very loud hip hop with the roof of her Porsche down (yes - I live in a wealthy village with a lot of nouveau rich). I asked her to turn it down a bit and got a very arrogant reply to the effect that it was her right to play music if she wanted to. So at 5 o'clock one Sunday morning, a few of us went to her house and revved the old V8s for 10 minutes. She doesn't wait near my house any more.

      @@kingcurry6594hahaha 🤣 unfortunately not... But I'll make sure someone is filming to gauge the reaction lol 😜 My concern with doing such at the moment is getting into a neighbourly dispute put up against our house. But when we move I will do it and I'll get a few of us together to do it as well. Just so they can remember me and TVR forever. 😅
      Perhaps they secretly love TVR, and want this sort of reaction to have a free car show. 🥴🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
