Hopefully she'll be able to start her own business or something after she's fired. Wishing for someone to lose their way of making a living is sociopathic af

P.s.She's too infamous to start business because everytime someone will ask her if she's the racist Satwant Kaur??

Might have problem renewing her visa or workpass later.

Staying in condos may mean staying with a bunch of renters … staying amongst hdb dwellers, you most likely are staying with a whole bunch of owners !

What to do if they even still practice it when they went back to their hometown during holiday.
Her Linkedin said she studied in Anderson Secondary School, before moving to National Junior College. She's likely Singaporean
Lol! She will be shocked to hear that several millionaires live in my mum's HDB block. Seeing intercontinental and exotic cars every day is a norm. Why they did do that, cos cheaper everything and gets better incentives from gov such as vouchers etc. She really lives under the rock man.
people who does not flex
I have yet to own any intercontinental car . . .
I have a colleague who spent over a million dollars to upgrade from HDB to condo because she wants her child to "grow up in a better environment". However, I feel that where you stay or what assets you owe don't define your values or character. We have Singaporeans driving Mercedes/Porsche/expensive cars in SG and Malaysia and exposed for their cheapo embarrassing behaviours. They are also likely to live in a condo. These are usually salespeople/bankers/property/insurance agents who are not that highly educated but able to afford lavish lifestyle due to their high earnings and scheming personality. That lady seems very educated but she will be surprised to find not all condo dwellers are as "unique"as she thought.
You cannot say that she is educated at all. Obviously, her family bought the paper for her.
You're no different to the woman
@@terryquek8975 Nah. Still better than the woman.
She will be surprised to find alot of hawkers live in condos and landed properties. 💀
I agree with the most part but you start by saying that money doesn't define a persons values yet you judge high earning Singaporeans who are lowly educated that go to Malaysia to save money, as "scheming" and "embarrassing".
does it say she works in "strategic communications" 💀💀💀
Ain't no way she is not trolling.
It's a strategy alright, just not a working one 😂😂
She needed to be reminded she lives in a teeny tiny island country..she paid that condo thinking like she owns that areacode💀
Even the president lives in a HDB😂
Used to. But her security detail's disruption (their cars, equipment, etc.) caused her neighbours to request she move out for the duration fo her term. She no longer lives in her Yishun HDB.
20+ years ago, i overheard two women chatting in a queue. One asked the other, “So where do you live?” “Oh … AMK.” “Where??” “… Ang Mo Kio.” That was the first time in my life I’d ever heard AMK referred to as AMK-of course, it’s much more common now. But I remember thinking then, that second woman seemed to be embarrassed about living in an HDB flat. Point being, things have changed drastically since in the local property scene. Millionaires also wear slippers and take the MRT, etc. But looks like class and status anxiety stays the same.
Wow…. Even on linked in
this linkedin post does not warm the cockles of my heart
Every sushi video be improving my English game
Over the years, I have 'upgraded' from HDB to owning a town house, moved on to private apartment, and semi-d, and eventually choose to move back into a 4 Rm HDB flat. So i guess i probably have a little more experience in different types of housing in Singapore as compared to Ms Kaur who sounded extremely narrow minded. My verdict is, I am glad we are back in the HDB and have been enjoying all the conveniences and fun here. It is much cleaner (surprise~) and safer without the intrusion of wild animals/insects. We still have the semi-d, but nah, the bats on our rooftop can enjoy that place, I am happy with my 4 rm flat as it is.
But what they yet to know that a HDB flat is equals to 3 houses in their country
Her Linkedin said she studied in Anderson Secondary School, before moving to National Junior College. She's likely Singaporean
6:32 “Cup is not iPhone, iPhone is iPhone” wise words by sushii
People just trying to vibe and live life, earn money for the family, for themselves and overall trying to maintain stability in their day-to-day life, then there's this woman
These are the type of people I’m worried about encountering or receiving judgment from whenever I enter atas areas in KL.
People who always try to emphasize their superiority by differentiating one thing against another (in this case public and private dwellings) are actually suffering from an inferior complex themselves and so will try , under any possible circumstances, to justify their superiority. These people are actually very poor souls.
Before purging her LinkedIn account, the writer got into a spat on LinkedIn with Nadine L. (the lady whose comment was used as a summary at the end).
Holy crap, Satwant Kaur's account may be gone, but the few comments of hers that were recorded for posterity are just... insane. Racist against Chinese, sexism against mothers in the workplace, anti blue-collar foreign worker rhetoric (despite not being Singaporean herself).
It's impossible to know exactly what she said since Ms. Kaur purged her account, but based on the responses to her now deleted comments, she had negative experiences in her younger years that led to such feelings. I get it, it's natural to feel upset and resentful when something bad happens to you; but it's not justifiable to use such experience as justification to spread a hypocritically racist, classist and sexist rhetoric.
Thats is exactly the Indian National caste system. They still practice and their psychology are imbued strongly with that ideology. Those Indian expats in SG including Satwant Kaur are surely from higher caste.
For your info, in India, the higher caste Indians still practice this backdated medieval practices.
For example, the higher caste Indian WILL NEVER drink from a glass that has been given bare hand by Dalit(the lowest caste in India).
It is sad that they try to bring their mentality to Singapore.
If I can try to put this delicately, most people would expect those who are minorities in their own way to be kind and understanding because they know what it's like to have been discriminated against. However, sometimes these folks can be even more vicious in an attempt to feel better about themselves; in a "I may be X, but at least I'm not Y" kind of way. I had a friend who was LGBT and felt persecuted because of that, but she was intensely fatphobic and would often treat larger people poorly and criticize them in front of me.
Wow, that sounds alot looked like caste system that the early Indian migrant in singapore try to run away from and try to keep away from.
Her Linkedin said she studied in Anderson Secondary School, before moving to National Junior College. She's likely Singaporean
@Nasi doesn't change the fact that she still has that caste mindset.
its common nowadays to see ang moh, taking the MRT, to work, etc, some even with the whole family, mother father, grandfather and children.
I didn't know living is a poor house means cannot work at office building
Her public profile shows that she studied at Anderson Secondary School, before moving to National Junior College. Not even from elite school but wanna act like one...ptui
i already knew sneaky sushi will make a video on this when this news came out.heheheeh
Who does she expect to maintain the cleanliness and security of her condo? Her fellow millionaires/ billionaires? Additionally, it's lest*, not less. And sure, people are about money. It's a capitalistic society and most folks have to work to support themselves and their families, this person is absolutely tone deaf.
I always find that such discriminatory behavior stems from insecurity - if she were secure in her position, she would not feel such a strong need to draw a line between her and the perceived 'lower class'. Unsurprising that she was unwilling to engage with those who commented on her LinkedIn post; I'm sure she thinks we're only trying to sully her with our filthy, poor people thoughts LOL.
remember the "Sovereign Lady"?
hahahahahahaha Are they the same Kaur ?? I do find them similar 😂😂😂
Yeah disagree with the lady's take using place of residence to classify people. That is not very bright. She should have just been direct about the people who she wants to associate and not associate with. People who take accountability of their own actions, add value to society and strive to improve on a continuous basis vs people who are lazy , contented with mediocrity , negative outlook on life etc. Both groups of people can be found in any types of residences.
Does she think private property have private property people working for private property?
She thinks Singaporean all stay in HDB low class. But if half of us go overseas. Most of us driving mid tier cars in SG now can buy Rolls Royce overseas. Most of the Singaporean in their 40s usually HDB are fully paid 400k-800k plus excess amount inside CPF. Don't know how many millionaires already. All wear shorts and slippers. On top of that, nowadays condo are build using the same BTO's lego blocks. The new condo and the BTO difference is the fence and the disgusting swimming pool filled with stuffs. Also the troublesome condo guards.
I agree with you except for the price of Rolls Royce being cheaper outside SG.
This is legit? Not satire? Never thought i’d see anything like that in this day and age lmaoooo is she sane

I find it really insulting. HDB is great. I'd love to buy an HDB flat.
Forget that, soon HDBs will be the premium and all of the common peasants will live in Tents bought from Decathlon
@@TheTrueBlueOne 😂 True, lucky I live in condo
Well I guess it depends. There's plenty of older flats that can be bought on the resale market for a more manageable price. I'm sure BTO flats are expensive. I've been out of sg for a few years and I never had a problem living in HDB while I was there.
Peasants lol
so many millionaires living in HDBs too, who wants to stay in an overpriced condo, have to pay high maintenance fee every month + higher property tax, get a comparatively smaller living space with an oversized balcony?
I did have a colleague who said….oh….we are different from Hdb dwellers……..and he is a singaporean

maybe this woman doesn't exist at all. the words are so inflammatory and the viewpoint is so stupid that I suspect this could just be an internet troll with a fake account, posting something specifically to provoke a strong response from us. nobody in their right mind would dare to post such views online just to get flamed. and if we give her more airtime by commenting/sharing/replying, then we are just falling for her trap. i think that we should just recognise that this is not worth our time, keep quiet and let it sink into oblivion. and good riddance.

I can see her "unique" identity showing through her tone deaf post.

Lmaoooo
Blame it on the government and property agents for such a low-level behaviour and thinking.
We have allowed the wrong notion that selling your HDB flat lease and buying a condo is seen as an "upgrade"?
UPGRADE???? HAHAHA.....
Most are downgrading. It's the property agents that spread this fear that it is wrong or a disadvantage to keep staying in a flat.
But wait.... isn't a condo also an apartment like HDB flat? 😅😂 It's only worse because it's so much smaller, in a worse off location, a lot pricier (means the condo buyers get themselves into A LOT more debt!) and monthly maintenance fees are much higher as well.
So again, why is it an "upgrade"? Oh there's a swimming pool and it's gated. Hahaha..... laughable. It does not belong to you. How often do you swim there and you have already paid for it, and constantly paying for its maintenance.
This Kaur woman was born in Singapore or one of the many tens of thousand former immigrants that our dear PM has continually brought in??
Your entire post was quite logical until the last para. Singaporeans cannot have such narrow minded views? Or immigrants cannot have wider views?
Then does it matter whether the lady is born in Singapore or not?
It’s my sarcasm and disdain for the many immigrants that the government have been importing to Singapore.

And she is wrong.
This is what happen when we have too much Indian Nationals in Singapore and even naturalized them. They actually still practice caste in India. Like really is still happening and not just exagerating it.
One of the most absurd is that the previous President of India is Hindu but his caste is Dalit, which is the lowest so when their Ministers and high ranking officials including the President himself went for a Temple visit, he was told that he cannot enter the temple area, and the most he can go is the stairs area. The President was sitting on the staircase and other officials which have higher caste get to go in the temple and do worship.
