Allow other traffic to overtake you safely. Keep a straight course and avoid sudden swerves.'
I get how the cyclist is in the wrong for making a fuss out of the situation. but the driver driving with the cyclist in the car could have ran over the cyclist if she didn’t hold on to the windshield properly, it’s a reckless act by the driver and thus she is in the wrong too

@@alui5362you’re on a slippery slope here. If everyone acted on simply their fight and flight instincts, there’d be unrest and conflict every single day. If he’s just going to tell all car drivers to run down cyclists (instead of keeping their cool) in situations like this, he’d just be fuelling the problem. At least by taking both stands, he’d help others rationalise the situation.
I think the issue is that, the cyclist may go straight at the cornering and the driver turn left and overtake her which might resulted in a collision. But to stop the vehicle while the road is for cars is such dumb, cycling beside the road is already a luxury.
I thought so too at first but upon 2nd viewing, the cyclist was already in the turning lane before the driver turned. Basically both were heading in the same direction.
cyclists on the roads should have the spatial awareness before making any turns or at a bend rather than expect motorists to watch out for them and their safety. its just entitled thinking on the part of cyclists.
Nothing wrong to overtake. Even when we learn driving, instructors will say don't keep let the cyclist in front of you. Is dangerous, if got chance just overtake carefully and move on.
Why are road cyclists always so entitled? Cars expected to slow down and tailgate behind her snail pace? Just look at the large gap formed within seconds between the car in front at 1:34.
Ngl I've seen the driver tailgating cyclists thing before, happens on less busy roads. The time I saw it, there were two cyclists side by side in the middle of the road, and a car was keeping a low speed following behind them. I see alr I oso shudder.
Im not too sure but I do remember when in Primary school, we went for some road safety excursion , if a cyclist were to want to continue straight instead, the cyclist should signal to let cars behind know. If not, people will think that the cyclist is gonna turn left. Not sure if this regulation still applies though...
just searched it up and it says "Specifically, cyclists and PAB riders must: Obey all traffic signals and travel in the same direction as the flow of traffic. Wear a helmet when cycling on roads. Always ride as close as practicable to the far left edge of roads, and allow traffic to overtake you safely." so the car is allowed to overtake.
I think the 1.5m gap between cyclist and car is pretty much observed in this case, driver no wrong. There is no requirement for a car to GO TO ANOTHER LANE when "overtaking" a cyclist on a multi lane road. As long as you're 1.5m away from cyclist you can take over the bicycle. There is absolutely no rule about not over taking a cyclist on a bend or single lane or whatsoever.
@@user-ih6nv2go9h I agree about defensive driving but it is subjective to whichever instance to be defensive about. Drive gave more than 1.5m distance Driver overtook the cyclist way before filter lane. Driver wasn't accelerating or driving at a dangerous speed. Driver didn't make sudden cut offs or turns. In this case the drive wasn't careless. The driver overtook the cyclist safely while following the natural flow of driving cadence and maneuver. Natural flow is what I want to emphasize. Many times accidents are caused by drivers who are overly cautious and hence made overly safe maneuvers causing other drivers to be unable to anticipate the driver's reactions. Defensive yes, but in this case? I deem it as defensive enough already.
pedestrians use the road too, shall we tax them too? 🤡 another clown using road tax as an excuse just because you cant think of an actual reason. people with your medieval thinking should be deported.
i'm not on the side of the cyclist, i think she's an idiot. but road tax is not calculated based on use of the roads. road tax is calculated based on a vehicle's engine capacity or power rating and hence linked to the amount of emissions produced by each vehicle type. our roads (and cycling paths) are built using general tax (including taxes paid by people who do not drive or cycle.)
@@SPIndustriesF23 clearly the bike is not just "crossing the road" and contributes to traffic congestion since they are so fucking slow and ride in the middle of the lane all the time. At least motorbikers know how to keep on the centreline and avoid cars.
The moment cyclists have to be registered and be liable for any erratic behavior, I’m sure many dumb or reckless behavior will be curbed. For now the cover of anonymity is an anti deterrent.
Not even surprise, cyclists thinks they own every pavements and roads in Singapore, every vehicles pedestrians and roaches need to give them idiots way
Also remember that roads in the 1920s belonged to both pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists Theres a heritage photo of Hill Street that showcases this. Essentially, roads belong to everyone, not just a car or a bicycle, BUT BOTH
If they (cyclists) want to use the road, it should be mandatory that they like get a class 2D(?) Licence or something and pay a small coe and road tax. The driver could have been in a rush and needed to be somewhere urgently before being confronted by an annoying cyclist for absolutely fucking nothing.
enforce coe and road tax may be a bit harsh for those lao ahpek who just wants to cycle 2 blocks down for a cup of coffee - so i think not feasible. but definitely agree+++ with mandatory license (with theory and practical component), mandatory registration and insurance as well, to protect both cyclist and driver (and also to hold them accountable since with the registration, they can be prosecuted). mandatory if you want to share the road with other road users. if you don't want then stick to pavement. so ridiculous! no knowledge of highway code still can share road with other road users? i have seen so many cyclist just beat red light or cycle against traffic flow which is just downright dangerous.
Some cyclists just behave very inconsiderately. There was once 2 cyclists rode along a single lane road side by side, thus taking up the whole lane. I honked at them to tell to them to file up so I can overtake. They gave me middle finger.
if road has 2 or more lanes, cyclists can ride 2 abreast. overtake when its safe, dont need to honk. you deserved the middle finger according to your description.
As a cyclist I feel like it is ok to "mini" honk as to say "excuse me". I ring my bell too when I am behind pedestrians walking side by side, once they give, I will say "thank you" while bypass them. It is mutual respect I think. But if a driver hoonnnnnnnnnnnnkkkk, then it will probably scared the cyclist, or maybe being considered rude, never try to startle anyone and behave with manner in public places.
I m a cyclist ,too. From the video.Driver is polite to keep on its lane. Cyclist must be struggling n exhausted forgotten that vehicles are king of the road. She should slow down n patiently paddle thru busy street.Cyclist must give way to cars when they are cutting lane.why agitated with the driver ???..
By law, not allowed to overtake on a bend but most people just look the other way, as long it wasn't close. This women obviously not looking the other way. Ironically, blocking the road is also an offense.
as long as the driver keeps 1.5 m distance then it is legal. you can overtake a cyclist at a bend . i think that the driver was a bit too close for the cyclist's comfort but it was not super close.
Tbh, no harm was done in the first place, this is all the cyclist causing drama. No confrontation is worth it, just bring a body camera if you really think road justice is really worth it.
The drivers in Singapore have this entitlement allure. They are completely ignorant of the traffic laws and when they are endangering someone's life. After doing all of that they are completely in a not my problem mood. What happened here is she took her over on the bent. However as soon as she took the cyclist over she has to break in order to make the turn. Imagine doing that to another car or any other vehicle. Resulting action for the cyclist is hard breaking in order not to hit the car. This is extremely dangerous and potentially life threatening. When the cyclist tried to explain the the driver what did she do wrong she was ENTITLED and DISMISSIVE. She didn't even want to engage in the conversation with the cyclist. Cyclist was very nice in the beginning even thought it didn't need to be in a situation where her LIFE was ENDANGERED by a reckless driver. Cyclist only became aggressive after the driver started ignoring her and dismissing her. What happened later by the driver running the cyclist over is completely LUDICROS and only SHOWs how AROGANT the drivers are in this country. I plead to all the drivers - please show some respect to the others around you. Just because you were able to fork out 100+k doesn't mean that you are entitled to kill a person on a road. Really think about this hard because the cyclists are not able to protect themselves from the cars and the 3 seconds that you will save are NOT worth killing someone.
This is the perfect example of how a bully (the cyclist) who is used to bullying others by screaming and being aggressive gets a taste of their own medicine. Lesson to take away here: don't test someone else's limit, you might not like the repercussions.
I do not know much about the Singaporean law, but I think it is quite similar to Malaysian law where it is very high likely that the lorry driver will be charged for driving with that idiotic cyclist on her bonet regardless of what reason she give. However, I cannot fully blame the lorry driver as the cyclist was acting erratic and dangerous. I seen road users similar attitude to that cyclist like motorcyclists brake check people, then scold vulgar words at drivers, and use their helmets to break the windshield. Imo, if I am the lorry driver, I would had long pressed the acelerator on my car and rammed the cyclist for my own safety. I am not going to wait like some oblivious character in a horror film waiting to be slaughtered like a pig.
Driver is wrong for driving off with the cyclist on the car but maybe she was just wanting to find a place to pull over, not to interfere with traffic. Incident should had just been swept under the carpet imo
For me, it doesn't matter who's in the right when you're dead or severely injured. The driver was an idiot but the cyclist gambling with her own life to escalate the confrontation just made it worse. Nice pfp btw
If you watched the full video.. You will know that the car driver is late for her yoga class and she is going into that shopping mall carpark. Not finding a place to pull over hahahahaha
1. Cyclist didn't use hand signal to indicate she was going straight before the camcar overtook her at the bend. 2. Cyclist blocked the camcar in the middle of the road and obstructed other motorist which is already a traffic offense. 3. Cyclist then jumped on the car which is a dangerous stunt and obstructing the view of the driver. 4. She tried to act like she was a victim when she was the perpetrator. Lock her up.
I rode my bike to school for about a year so while i feel bad for the cyclist, shes not even supposed to be on the road so the starting point is that she's at fault.
If the cyclist wanted go straight instead of turn left, she should have used hand signals and provided them early as well to show her intention... And then now...want to lecture other people about what is right or wrong? This is pure stupidity, because even if you are going straight, you should slow down and also watch for your own safety before passing that bend. Don't assume cars will give way to you. It takes just one person who in a split second didn't notice you for an accident to take place. At that point, no need to argue who wrong or right - you will suffer. Look now. You didnt even take the right course of action when someone did wrong against you. If you had just taken down the licence plate and report to police, this wouldn't have escalated in this manner. Before you confronted her, you had no damage done to you at all. You were perhaps threatened, but you could report the car with cctv footage for dangerous driving...and in the very first place, what could you have done with the driver besides confronting her, scolding her and then just give her a warning ? We need cyclist who can calm down and not turn out to be a hazard
Oh at first I thought the cyclist was going straight, but it turns out she was turning into the bend too. And looking at how much space the car gave on stopping to the car in front of her, she must be a very defensive driver.
Agree it's a lose-lose situation here. The biker could have fallen off the moving vehicle and get hit by a trailer - all because she felt she was put at risk by the car during lane filtering. If nothing else, hope this would discourage any cyclist to confront any vehicle from now onwards. Just fix a camera on the bicycle and upload to TP website of any potential wrongdoing to seek any grievances. Btw, I think the driver moved the bike with the intention of hoping the rider would go after her bike so that she could get on her way.
If you see the video, the car in front of the cam car actually overtook the cyclist more dangerously & closer than the cam car. Nothing wrong with cam car’s overtaking. Cyclist is too f..king entitled. Road rage started by cyclist.
If I’m the driver, I would too, drive pass that cyclist into the filter lane, I think it’s super common since cyclist is not cycling in the center of the road, driver need not follow behind her pace. That is road for vehicles not bicycle. Cyclist is quite a bit over acting or too dramatic, stupid to jump on ppl’s car & shouting help the next moment like “siao za bor” OMG’”🤦🏻♀️ no words to express🙄😅 I’m like … I just watched “Too Fast Too Furious 10” NOT U.S Version but Spore Version, hilarious. LOL😅😂🤣🤣
But the thing is you do not have the video of rear view of the lady driver car. What if the distance to the cyclist is too near and she still insist to want to turn ? What if one wrong calculation on brake or accelerator and will hit cyclist how? So don't so fast say you will do this do that just by front video alone. Coz we do not know how close the distance at the back or even at the left side.
When two Karens meet, on a serious note: the ultimate winner is still the government, fine for creating public nuisance (for the cyclist), and for the driver fined for reckless driving and suspension of license.
If not wrong, I heard cars need to leave 1.5 m of clearance for the cyclist. Cyclists at all times need to keep on the left lane of the road as much as possible. The car must not overtake in a corner or bend, a pedestrian crossing if pertained to his video. Cyclists are to be treated as such a vehicle too. Both are at fault. But the charges are already mostly up according to mothership. The cyclist got additional charges as compared to the driver.
If u guys actualy take the cyclist course at the lta site, well its kinda right, the driver should not overtake a cyclist at a bend, instead must give ample space abt 1 to 3 meters if i recalled correctly, so yeah, on the cyclist end ,chase and tell em off yeah fine but damaging the car is a no no, BIG NO NO, instead should just let the driver go and report the car and driver instead just memories the plate number, its THAT EASY
LMAO!!... Absolutely mental! Both of them need therapy. Could have just swear at the driver and move on. Nothing would happen if the cyclist knew how to control the controllable.
You cant be entitled in either activity driving or cycling. If she had the brains to plan her cycling, she shld do it when low peak hours like night time and depending on certain roads. This woman decided to cycle on an active street and expect all the oncoming cars to not overtake and then get angry over it? Some are just not aware of the situation they put themselves in.
First I didn’t know that was a woman until sushi mentioned it. Damn she built like someone’s ex. Second, don’t take it seriously, but the cyclist is the great example of stressed and overworked Karen who work in a corporate and a manager that everyone hates.
I believe during the turn it's about 1.5m away from the cyclist. But the cyclist got to her big nerve EGO and did it on purpose pursuing the situation. On the driver part, she's totally good until she drives away with the cyclist on the engine bonnet. The driver should just call the police and settle it. So both now are in trouble.
The stupid cyclist jumped on the car instead of just walking off when the driver was already trying to drive off so it already gave the cyclist ample of time to react and move away when she started driving off. Also, U have to also understand from the driver’s point of you. She is so stressed and her car is blocking THE ROAD and people behind are are honking. You have no idea how stressful it is when other cars are honking at u, as a driver I personally get super stressed and anxious. So, she can’t do anything else and her flight reaction was just to move off without blocking traffic flow and also try to get that crazy fucker off HER car. Why is no one talking about how it was wrong for the cyclist to even jump and touch her car in the first place??? That itself already shows whose in the wrong from the start. And, there was no issue from the beginning AT ALL. NOTHING. So, idk whoever is siding the cyclist and people saying the driver in the wrong. You put yourself in that situation and experience it raw, I see how you well and calmly you react. I did the driver did her best there and then.
The driver isn't wrong per say, but it surely isn't the best decision to squeeze a cyclist out at a turn. As a cyclist, she could have ridden more defensively by riding in the middle of the lane at least for the bend so that incidents like these don't happen to her, especially in Singapore where drivers are not as conscious and smart when coming to giving way to cyclists.

i feel so good when the driver drove off with the cyclist on her car like serves her right
sorry sushi I dunno why you feel compelled to do the 'both sides are wrong' politically correct thing leh. just call it fairly. cyclist could have let go, but she didn't want to. so bring her for a ride lor. the car wasn't speeding off or trying to throw her off or anything - it was moving damn slow. even if she let go, the car can easily stop. fact is that the cyclist was a crybully karen with entitlement issues, and was trying to vent her issues on someone who wanted to mind her own business.
also in general, there are a lot of road cyclists with entitlement issues lah. dunno if a rich/privileged thing(? dunno, still trying to figure out a theory), but sometimes feels like there's a correlation between the damn hardcore ones that spend thousands to tens of thousands on bicycles and then act like they deserve to hold up traffic for everyone else. but it's a thing lah. they really expect people to wait for them. it's like they get a kick out of it or something.
anw, cyclist was in the wrong. supposed to keep left and allow traffic to overtake them. section 29 highway code ' - Always ride on the left-hand edge of a roadway. Allow other traffic to overtake you safely. Keep a straight course and avoid sudden swerves.'
I get how the cyclist is in the wrong for making a fuss out of the situation. but the driver driving with the cyclist in the car could have ran over the cyclist if she didn’t hold on to the windshield properly, it’s a reckless act by the driver and thus she is in the wrong too
@@antahug she may have been reckless but it was awesome
Since both were charged in the end it wasn't a "politically correct" thing, he called it right.
@@joemiljoe1771 Naw, take the law out of it. You really feel she's not justified to try and get away if the idiot refuses to let her leave? Touch your heart. Put another way, of course the law will charge both - it will do the politically correct thing, and also it has other considerations - it also needs to deter people in OTHER situations from driving off because there are going to be situations where the driver is actually an idiot or psycho who uses it as an excuse to kill/hurt the cyclist. But in this case? Don't mix up right and wrong with what the law does. Law has public policy considerations beyond the immediate case.
@@alui5362you’re on a slippery slope here. If everyone acted on simply their fight and flight instincts, there’d be unrest and conflict every single day. Now, I’m not saying that the cyclist wasn’t being a complete asshole. But, its like you’ve said - regardless of what Sneaky TRULY feels, he’s speaking to a mass audience.
Eh. 99.99% of cyclists would have just slowed down, avoided the situation and get on with their lives.
i thought so too, but if you look at the video again, the cyclist went into the lane that is making a left turn.
Legend has it her mouth is still open
Nice one HAHAHAHAAH 😂
The driver wasn’t at fault by overtaking the cyclist, period
You deserve an award for stupidest comment
Yes it's a single lane but a bicycle isn't a car, car only has to keep 1.5m from bicycle
cyclist sense of entitlement is off the roof.
Nothing wrong to overtake. Even when we learn driving, instructors will say don't keep let the cyclist in front of you. Is dangerous, if got chance just overtake carefully and move on.
Bahahaha
Why are road cyclists always so entitled? Cars expected to slow down and tailgate behind her snail pace? Just look at the large gap formed within seconds between the car in front at 1:34.
Not in Indonesia, they ain't. This stupid c**t would get run over and the driver wouldn't be at fault.
always? might wanna check your sources before make such baseless and uneducated accusations
There is absolutely no rule about not over taking a cyclist on a bend or single lane or whatsoever.
there is also the option to drive defensively and not overtake. prevention is better the cure.
@@user-ih6nv2go9h I agree about defensive driving but it is subjective to whichever instance to be defensive about.
Drive gave more than 1.5m distance
Driver overtook the cyclist way before filter lane.
I like how the cyclist already had the luxury of using the road, free of charge, while the driver and cars around had to pay road tax.
true hahaha! I wonder if any of the COE monies paid goes towards building of bicycle lanes
pedestrians use the road too, shall we tax them too? 🤡 another clown using road tax as an excuse just because you cant think of an actual reason. people with your medieval thinking should be deported.
i'm not on the side of the cyclist, i think she's an idiot. but road tax is not calculated based on use of the roads. road tax is calculated based on a vehicle's engine capacity or power rating and hence linked to the amount of emissions produced by each vehicle type. our roads (and cycling paths) are built using general tax (including taxes paid by people who do not drive or cycle.)
Wow so non car owners don't need to pay taxes also ah? Like that I can only cross the road if I pay road tax?
@@SPIndustriesF23 clearly the bike is not just "crossing the road" and contributes to traffic congestion since they are so fucking slow and ride in the middle of the lane all the time. At least motorbikers know how to keep on the centreline and avoid cars.

Nah. Roads and streets were originally made for pedestrians. We shall take them back
Also remember that roads in the 1920s belonged to both pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists
Theres a heritage photo of Hill Street that showcases this. Essentially, roads belong to everyone, not just a car or a bicycle, BUT BOTH

theres a quote i have that relates "if they don't respect you then dont respect them back and ignore."
So true lah. Considering it was a Sunday. Driver had emergency like needed to fix hair or nails....

A friend of mine got deported from Singapore for kicking a car that got too close to him. He actually made the news a few years ago
fighting over nothing that happened.
Definitely with the driver
I m a cyclist ,too. From the video.Driver is polite to keep on its lane. Cyclist must be struggling n exhausted forgotten that vehicles are king of the road. She should slow down n patiently paddle thru busy street.Cyclist must give way to cars when they are cutting lane.why agitated with the driver ???..

The cyclist did not see the dash cam right😂😂
I think anyone explodes when keep getting harrassed. Some people who harrassed others don't know the limit.
By law, not allowed to overtake on a bend but most people just look the other way, as long it wasn't close. This women obviously not looking the other way. Ironically, blocking the road is also an offense.
When the cyclist hop onto the windshield, why the driver never on the wipers
maybe i would have activated the wiper fluid
Cyclist needs to upload her version of her story to see if the driver indeed clipped her.
as long as the driver keeps 1.5 m distance then it is legal. you can overtake a cyclist at a bend . i think that the driver was a bit too close for the cyclist's comfort but it was not super close.
6:15 "It was at this moment, she knew she f#&! up"
Tbh, no harm was done in the first place, this is all the cyclist causing drama. No confrontation is worth it, just bring a body camera if you really think road justice is really worth it.
The car bonnet so hot, the cyclist trying to get a sauna bro
Really think about this hard because the cyclists are not able to protect themselves from the cars and the 3 seconds that you will save are NOT worth killing someone.
there is a reason why they are called cockroaches of the road
call them whatever you want, but drivers need to actually learn how to drive defensively
This is the perfect example of how a bully (the cyclist) who is used to bullying others by screaming and being aggressive gets a taste of their own medicine. Lesson to take away here: don't test someone else's limit, you might not like the repercussions.
bro the cyclist thinks she is a character of some movie xDDDDDD
Netflix BEEF but Singapore edition. Before you know it they will go from enemies to lovers

If we wanna make reference, it should probably be that lady who ripped off an uncle's car plate on the causeway. .
Seriously I don’t care if anything happens to the cyclist…. U do not damage anyone’s property just because u are pissed.

Road rage started by cyclist.
love the choice of background music for this video lol
Is it a Karen thing where they somehow just like to confront people if you "take" their lane 😂
Epitome of Karen 😂
If I’m the driver, I would too, drive pass that cyclist into the filter lane, I think it’s super common since cyclist is not cycling in the center of the road, driver need not follow behind her pace. That is road for vehicles not bicycle. Cyclist is quite a bit over acting or too dramatic, stupid to jump on ppl’s car & shouting help the next moment like “siao za bor” OMG’”🤦🏻♀️ no words to express🙄😅 I’m like … I just watched “Too Fast Too Furious 10” NOT U.S Version but Spore Version, hilarious.

Yea this is super funny but can u post more crime watch videos your crime watch videos are the funniest.
There’s like a whole debate here
Also,
U have to also understand from the driver’s point of you.
Dressed like a Minion acts like one too.
Hey dont berate the minions. At least they do a better job then this karen!
Finally......someone with the correct take on the cyclist.......and why she was angry at the driver!!!
