The power bank story 🤣 I felt that to the bone! With me its the charging cable, people come to your house and just chomoa it from the head and you will never see it again. I've replaced that cable so much aki I've become so mchoyo I hide them and tell people I just have the wireless one (which used the older USB port so no one ever steals that one!)
I lOVE women who pray about another womens struggle instead of gossiping about it and using it as a weapon to just destroy her. Like if you can't help her, pray for her and let God do the rest.
I love it when a woman friend invests in a friendship. Lets check on each other, gift each other and take each other out for dates. Life does not revolve around romantic relationships and its so beautiful to see women investing in their friendships. Let's set up mechanisms to handle disagreements not everything must lead into a fall out. Its so unfortunate when friends break up over something they would have talked out. So yeah, I love to see women invest in their friendships :)
I agree 100%. Most conflicts can be solved. Some women are ok to put up or forgive a male friend 100 times for mistakes they have done, but they do not have that kind of commitment for each other in female relationships. So wrong.
I love women who are doing well in life but do not rub it on other women’s faces, especially those not doing so well e.g financially. I am a waitress and the things I’ve seen from women!! Wuueehh! Let’s be kinder to one another. Let’s stay humble. ✌️🏾❤️
Please tell me why I was ready to congratulate Lornzie upon missing her first episode BUT alas she is present. Well done Lornzie on always being there. Congratulations upon your wedding and I wish you a God filled marriage.•💛
About dressing,, nudity empowers some women, while modesty empowers other women. Different strokes for different folks . It's not your place to determine which one "respects herself " I think it really matters how well you know each other in order for one to be in a position to criticize the other person's way of dressing.
Best point by Lorna was to acknowledge your friends success without being envious or jealous. We all have ups and downs. The saying is when it rains, it pours. (Good things and bad things). At the same time, my caution is do not always flash your good fortune in people's faces because not everyone that laughs and smiles at you is wishing you well. Some people's hearts are black as tar.
Aki Jules, I actually get it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. My problem similar to that is when you go for a sleep over and someone didn't bring a shower cap but j carried mine. Then they borrow it before I shower and now I have to use a wet or semi wet shower cap 😒😒😒.
I legit feel Ivy's perception about borrowing money! I HATE asking for my money back. And I'm always so keen to refund on time...I will literally be restless until I refund money.
I love women who come to you when they have an issue with you rather than those that gossip about it with a third party with the intent of tarnishing your name.
So many points here can apply to general friendships. That storo about people showing up at your doorstep unannounced ati cause you are friends, that I can't stand. Also boundaries inside my house must be respected. I have this friend that I can't invite over cause she walks into every room when visits, opens every closet or drawer she finds, goes into the fridge and take whatever without asking.. just nosy and intrusive. Totally unacceptable
Loved this episode. The point about working through jealousy is spot on! It took effort and a deliberate change in mindset for me to start genuinely being happy for others success. I came to realize that I'm in a great position to learn from someone who has achieved what I too want to achieve, so instead of competing I ask for direction and advice.
I was home with my boyfriend (now husband) and we went out to dinner and this two chics came to our table and asked to speak to him only to ask him to take them home!!!!! He respectfully declined the offer and pointed out how disrespectful that was to both of us! Yani boundaries mean nothing to some people! We are still in shock 4 years later!
12:22 l totally agree with Ivy. Assumptions is the mother of all fuck ups. Do not assume. Verbal communication in any relationship, in any set up. Also with the common sense thing, as a friend you should be aware of your friends lane and if there is blurriness, inquire, just ask. Overall good episode. Love, love, love always.
This ep hits the place. From boundaries with people, minding your bussiness, always mentioning a friends name you know is capable in places of opportunity, uplifting women *if you see something and people are smirking and giggling about something they don't know, whisper it, let them know*, staying and walking into places you're growing in and supporting others. Tbh, mi sijui kuwa jealous never have been. I get curious, I wonder how you did that, what can I learn from you or that. It's helped me in life.
FEEDBACK: I feel like at the beginning the discussion took a tangent and became about things other women do we don't like. I would've loved a deeper focus on what we like about other women. I was really excited to dive into #goodvibes and #girlpower as you guide us to recognize positive attributes of women around us as well.
Hi guys, thank you for the wonderful insight🤗! Adding a point, I like it when women ,esp your close friends, call you out on your sh*t in a very genuine and respectful way. It’s more like insight cause sometimes you’re clueless when it’s happening n for a friend to address it, it really goes a long way and it helps you become a better person (that is if you take it positively). Ok, thank you❤️.
This episode really resonates with me Also I'm with Ivy, communicate your boundaries (especially the wierd ones like Julia and her power bank 🤣🤣🤣🤣) your friends are not mind readers Also yes, always be kind and support other women everywhere, even that tea mama at your fancy work place. You could be the sole reason someone smiles today
As for me, I love and respect Robyn so very much because she's a massive inspiration in my life. The best way to thank her for being a great influence in my life is to show her that I can make something out of myself. I learned and truly believe that we need to encourage each other as women to unleash our potential and soar. I also believe we have a responsibility to help each other out. I am someone that has been plagued most of my life with insecurities, doubts and fears. I am working through this and as I do, I play a small part in making the world a better place. A place where women who look like me understand that they are truly beautiful and have the courage to explore that from the outside in. I love you girls and I am rooting for all of y'all ❤💪🏾
With you on that one, Just Ivy: take it with the person who knows you, loves you, made a commitment to you. Aki Lonzie, cute but woiyeshe... still hanging onto the "it's the women out there that I fear". Everyone's partner is hit on and handed a gazillion opportunities to cheat. Hence, it is important to have a partner who respects thyself, thy partner and thy relationship enough to say "No. Nah. Keep it moving" to those that make attempts, as ATTEMPTS WILL BE MADE and you cannot fight all women, most of whom do not even know you exist. Simply put: it is 100% the responsibility of those in a relationship to respect and protect it.
I totally agree with you SSK. A commitment is made between two people. Trying to impose boundaries on people outside your union is fighting a losing battle. Trust your partner enough to know that if he/ she is hit on, they will make the right decision.
@Kei Pearlz True, ni madharau but it is part of reality: your partner will be approached by people you know, and those that you don't; sometimes they will even be hit on in your presence. With time, when you are solid (and if luckily both of you are pretty secure individually and in each other), you even laugh about these things together mkiambiana leo so and so alikuwa anatupa mistari kweli ...😁

@Kei Pearlz it's disrespectful if people close to you hit on your Significant Other. But because we can't control people and their behaviours/ choices, the responsibility to remain accountable and faithful lies with your partner. We should always remember the boundaries we put are not for other people, they are for yourself.
A cheating person will cheat regardless of boundaries or not.It all boikd down to choices and how much he respects your union and his partner to not cross the line @SSK am with you in this.

I also love it when women take care of themselves by keeping appointments at the doctor's, obgyn, hair, nail, spa etc. Just love on yourself and live your best life.

I loved this episode...... As Always never disappointing. I love it when women take a girl's trip together and have a blast. Kinda self love through appreciating and loving on your friends. I also love it when women take care of themselves by keeping appointments at the doctor's, obgyn, hair, nail, spa etc. Just love on yourself and live your best life.
Lorna has a lot of self-awareness. 👏👏
Aki you ladies inspire me a lot.... I'm 25 but nowdays I reason like I'm over 25😅....thank you so much, also create more content I can't get enough
Haki Ivy's love for money is admirable.🤣🤣🤣. You ladies are dope. I look forward to listening to you. Lots of love.
Whoever is borrowing Julias power bank should stop!🤣🤣🤣
Yes, boundaries should not be assumed, and imaginary. Ivy good to see you back.
