New to gimbals, so I appreciate these videos. Could you do one that explains the uses of the various gimbal lock mode-follow, lock, head lock? Examples?
That wall behind you is in sharp focus. lol I will say, the one thing I did get out of this video was the name of the "orbit" move. I've been trying to find the name of the movement and looking for tutorials on how to best pull it off. In fact, this vid would have actually been awesome if Mr. Hollywood-gimbal-operator-hundreds-of-movie-credits actually demonstrated the moves, eh?
Great info! However I think the movie scenes examples aren’t that well chosen. He’s talking about gimbal movements, but you are showing scenes from Birdman (which was shot on a steadicam) and Children Of Men (which had a whole car rig set up).
It would be nice to have a second shot of the cameraman operating the gimbal so we understand exactly how they are capturing the shot.
@Brisdad53 STFU you dumbfuck. I'm trying to get a better sense of how the cameraman operates. I know what a gimbal is bitch

Nice, thanks for the quick and simple breakdown.
Great video thank you. I always pull out.
Q: Why focus is on wall, instead been on subject which is too of you guys ?
Damn your right. Maybe an adjustment in lighting? {humbly} asking. Because I'm actually gonna Subscribe to these guys.
Just got the Zhiyun Smooth-Q. This is an excellent video to help me get started. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to using these techniques.
