Yo pappa want to put me in bed, but I never rest, nevertheless, never be stressed. Unless you have to to bed, because sleep is the cousing of death. Also the causing breath and my shocking progress. Yo check, the beat and the melody, to bed I will never be, daddy you're never getting meeee...
Hope you're still out there jamming, brother. Awesome to witness the magic you're able to squeeze out of that little magic box. My favorite Volca by far. Pajen makes it Op as fudge. Peace.
Thank you. I've been playing bass in some bands and going to school. My volca hasn't gotten much love recently but I still have ideas planned for the future
No prob. That is an 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapter. The normal headphone output on the volcas are all 1/8 inch while mixer inputs are 1/4 inch. With the adapter, I can use a normal instrument cable to plug the vsample into my mixer/audio interface. So pretty much it's used for capturing the audio coming from the vsample.
Wow, nice track! Does your Volca have the Pajen firmware? How long did you take to master the Sample, and did you watch a lot of tutorials or just experiment twisting the knobs yourself?
Thank you! In this video, I did not have the pajen update. I use it on later videos. When I got first got the volca, I looked up a hunch of different tutorials to get started. After that, everything else was just done through experimentation and seeing how far I could push the machine. I started to feel as though the things i was making on the vsample started to feel like songs instead of just cool ideas after about a year.. My first video with the vsample was made after owning the machine for about a year and a half.
@@nightcrook9337 i have a little question: when you press the Memory button, for example at 1:59, i see that all the 16 "pads" are lighten up instead of just 10 memory slots. Why?
Just found about about the Volca's, i'm a drummer living in an apartment long term and was searching for another creative outlet, everything I see is just EDM which might be fun but I see lots of other potential, love this jam, still trying to figure out the best combo to get, probably start with the Drum even though I suppose this is the most flexible.
I've never jammed on the drum before. It looks pretty awesome though. The vsample is a great starting point because I see it as a drum machine with your own personal sounds. That's why I got it. Only until I started jamming on it for a bit did i start adding melodic stuff and instrument samples. As a drummer, I'd imagine you'll have a blast with it. Its definitely an instrument meant for live play and not so much just programming songs.
For a combo I went with the vkeys. As long as you have the vsample I feel like any of the other volcas would be a good combo because the vsample can just fill in the space the other volca lacks.
Youre better off getting a pocket operator, you can do more with them from my experience. Although the volcas have the midi and quarter inch jacks which make it easier for stereos

@@bonistik Sorry about that. I was clearing files off of my drive to make some room and accidentally deleted those. I have a different computer now from the one I had when I made this video. I hunted down all of them online except the bass samples. I'll be updating the description with new download links that will work.
Was just about to put the kids to bed, but I played this and now we're having a freestyle rap battle. Thanks a lot
