Great question! Unfortunately you cannot do that. However if you have ableton, you can do some work arounds. First, you would need to mute all the samples except 1 and record them individually. What I find tricky with this is that if you have a sample that launches at the end of the bar finding the exact start point of the bar can be tricky. To work around this have the sample play I. The very first step. In ableton, you can right-click the sample that played first in the audio view and set 1.1.1 to start at that sample. Then just use the fader function to mute the first sample hit so you only hear all the sample hits you want later on. This method is only really useful in ableton. The only other work around is to use the stereo to mono method. To do this, on the vsample, pan a group of samples fully to left and another to right ( for example all the sample hits to left while all the drums are right). Then in your daw, instead of recording 1 stereo track, switch it to record 2 mono tracks. This will give you two audio tracks with two groups of samples.
