I love how your videos are so detailed and comprehensive. I am looking forward to your comparison of these pedals with Moza SR-P pedals with Accessory Kit.
Highly recommend the Truebrake mod (see reviews on here and Sim Racing Garage) and the magnetic shifter mod. With these two mods you will have the brake and shifting feel similar to a good load cell brake, with shifting that feels better than some very expensive dedicated wheels. It's keeping me going until my CSL DD and V3 pedals finally arrive.
Thank you for the in depth review guys - a great help as I desperately need to upgrade from my G920 pedals. I've gone with the CSL LC and used your affiliate link 🙂
Thanks guys, have pre-ordered the Load Cell Kit. Good to know that the existing brake can be converted to clutch. Now need a review on best gear shifter to match :)

Thank you for having the software download for my Fanatec LC pedals. I lost the application when my laptop crashed, smh. Thanks again man and great videos on sim racing and products.
I kind of did this the wrong way round, having already ordered the Fanatec pedals before watching the review, but I'm now very much looking forward to their arrival.
As someone with the T-LCM pedals, this video feels really validating. I've had them for about a year now and I'm still not happy with them. I've done almost everything. Different springs. Different amounts of washers. Different deadzones. Different brake force settings. I've tried brake mods, nothing has really made me feel happy and confident with them. I'm now wondering if it's based on the throw of the pedals. I feel like you only feel the loadcell at the last half or quarter of the travel. It feels like that defeats the purpose of a loadcell as you'd want to modulate braking through stiffness and not through travel. I wish I would have went with Fanatec instead but live and learn.
Agreed. I think the main issue is the T-LCM pedals have a plastic base to which the pedals are attached. The alloy pedals themselves don't flex but it seems like the base does at the anchor point. More pressure on the pedals results in more unnecessary movement where you don't need it. I ordered the newly released Asetek Invicta pedals on pre order last month so that should resolve my disappointment with TM. If this very honest comparison was posted 6 months earlier it would have saved me an unnecessary purchase by sticking with the T3PA's a little longer.
What are the break mods that you've tried on them? I found a mod where you replace the springs with some thick rubber washers you can buy on Amazon and it feels a lot better now, I'm not sure why Thurstmaster didn't design it using the rubber washers in the first place, unless Fanatec has some patent over that design.
Very informative video guys and one that is completely relevant to me. I've just bought some used (but you would never know it) Fanatec CSL Elite pedals with the load cell brake. I previously had the low-end plastic 2 pedal setup that came bundled with an entry level Thrustmaster wheel. After online racing for the last couple of years, this is my first upgrade purchase and I can't believe how much of an upgrade it already feels. Even removing the components from the packaging they feel a completely different ball game to what I'm used to. Worth every penny and ultimately should make me a little quicker by being able to threshold brake more reliably than what I'm used to. Thanks for continuing to make the great videos and getting me in to the rabbit hole of the sim racing world!
I just got my load cell kit. But I feel like the brake barely moves. It has a super short travel distance, although it applies force correctly. But when I see this video, the travel distance is much longer than mine. Any idea to fix this?
You can use the foam insert from the clutch pedal to mod the spring .. it fits.. it will give you a bit more travel.. if not look at a company called 3DRap they have specific mods for the CSL loadcell.More money though.
Really helpful review. I ordered the GT DD wheel and got the CSL pedals with the LC. I've been using the original ClubSport V1 pedals so I was a little worried about these, but I think they'll actually be an upgrade. I think the potentiometers on mine are gunked up with 12 years of dust and the brake on the old CSPv1s is mush. I can push that pedal the same way you were able to on the T-LCMs with my index finger. Can't wait to try it all out, going to be a killer wait until March.
I had a T300 and was thinking of buying T-LCM pedals, but they didn't look very high quality and there weren't many reviews, finally I upgraded to the Fanatec csl elite F1 set and then instead of buying the loadcell I bought the V3s and the performance kit, and now I'm happy and have a DD1 on the way
Great review as always. I was first caught off balance, that Fanatec would produce a component with no way to mount on aluminum profile. Then, the mounting solution for the front bolts in aluminum profile was instantly obvious. Using a pair of 90 degree brackets, hanging against the front edge of the cross piece of profile, one bolt goes up, into the pedal base, and one bolt into a t-nut in the single slot of the front edge.
I have a wheel stand and I use an office chair but I replaced the wheels with sliders which stop the chair from moving when I press the brake on my CSR Elite pedal set , which has a load cell brake.
Thx for the review and comparison to the csl elite pedals. I currently have those and while happy with them, they do annoy me a bit due to the fact that if you misplace your foot a bit, you can get a different reading on the brake because of the loadcell position. But seeing this review, it's not really worth to change it.
@Boosted Media Man your videos are so damn good and informative. Your intro was perfect and legit told me all the questions I had. then answered them all. Bravo man seriously good work. Across all your videos
Originally I played Gran Turismo 5 on a G29. And spent hours driving through nordscleife on the GTR the GT5 producer sponsored and drove for that 24 hour in le mans. Basically they gave that car to GT5 players for free in game. I had a lot of laps on the same track and on suzuka circuit too. And that was a blast. Now 5+ years on, I am back on PC this time. AC, ACC and iracing. And this time with the CSL DD bundle. I know there are more kits out there that are even more expensive but yeah happy with the P1 bundle (now called ready2race bundle with 150 euro discount). Bought the load cell kit for it. And later down the line the gt3 wheel. Its just fun. Specially improving your driving. With your lap times as an indicator. Without getting flagged lol. And with the ability to go for the 8nm boost kit. And if not racing, delivering truck loads on ETS2 lmao
my load cell pedal fried my throttle pedal... it also has about 1/4 the travel compared to the one reviewed here. Still waiting on a response from fanatec 5 days later. apparently lots of people are having the same issue. Im now stuck with no pedals and no answer from fanatec.
Incase anyone is wondering I'm using the load cell on the floor. Have a rubber mat under it and a weight on the plate to help keep the pedals down but it's possible to make it work
I just got my CSL DD and petals, I haven’t even been able to use them since I need to clear out room for my sim rig. Yes I’m getting the load cell as soon as they go on sale. I can easily see Fanatec selling a load cell adjustment set with different shore pads. Looking forward to trying them out, just wish they were on sale when they first released them.
Thanks for taking the time to review this set of pedals. The mounting solution does seem to be poor on the base plate. would be nice if they had some type of counter sunk holes from the top to make it a little easier ?
@@boostedmedia Thanks for your reply and all of your and your team's hard work. I appreciate the follow-up. Do you think the Elite V2 pedals in their softest configuration feel softer than these? I'm considering getting the Elite V2s or modifying these CSL pedals. Unfortunately, the firmness of these pedals gives me ankle pain after a long driving session.
@@boostedmedia CSL Elite Pedals Load Cell Kit v2? I'm not holding my breathe though; Fanatec's product release scheduling seems to be really poor for their customers.
I'm noticing that trail braking is a little harder with this load cell since the range is smaller. Also the muscle memory worked quite well without the load cell if your brake is hard to push so i'm not noticing any difference. For instance the Logitec brake was already hard to push in and I already used muscle memory for breaking points so I"m not seeing much of a difference with this loadcell brake. If someone could explain the difference or where I'm wrong?
I have just received the basic csl pedal set with the ready to race bundle, money all gone now !!! What do people recommend to get the brake feeling good, the standard is pretty poor.
Some has experience in using the CSL Pedals with a Next Level Racing FGT-Lite foldable cockpit? Im fearing it will lift off, due to the forces being applied on the load cell.
I really do appreciate your honest opinion on the different pedal sets reviewed here. I have about $400USD to spend on a new set and found this to be very helpful. I do wish you had one more pedal set included for comparison which would be the Simforge MK-1 coming in around the same price point as the Clubsport V3. Thanks for helping me decide.
The simforge look amazing in reviews. But their price have gone up and so too has shipping so you’ll now pay more for them than the club sport. But man are they ever nice looking with amazing adjustability.
Really great review; covered all of the bases! I'm curious how you would evaluate the CSL Elite v2 in this mix; worth the extra $100 over the CSL (w/ load kit) or pay $200 extra and go for the ClubSport v3?
@@boostedmedia I just received my Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro Premium; what an improvement over the Thrustmaster T-GT-II! Too bad they don't allow you to substitute or return bundled pedals. I just ordered the V3s using your affiliate link. Returning the CSL LC kit and selling the CSL!
Does anybody know how to fix a fluctuating load cell brake??? I just opened these and this issue was already there 😭😭😭 it gets worse as I turn down the pressure sensitivity, if anyone knows how to fix it please help.
Well, I have a T3PA, and I feel the CSL w/Load Cell will be the best and only upgrade I make, especially since there is already a lack of feel in the brakes to begin with. Especially since I plan to slowly upgrade to a full Fanatec, setup, I think it's a no-brainer that the CSL is the first pedals I get. I highly doubt I'll even look towards the V3 or any other pedals that might come out in the future.
absolutely mint review lads. I am in the exact boat you were discussing. Looking to upgrade my trusty G27 setup. If only these were available in New Zealand :)
Not much of an upgrade tbh, especially if you're running T-LCM with even minimal mods. The next sensible upgrade from T-LCM has to be something like Heusinkveld, not Fanatec.
@@RacingPotato12 I had a tlcm for a while with my t300rs, but the basic construction (too much plastic) and the loadcell ring system didn't convinced me (become noisy very fast). I switch on a clubsport v3, it's way much better on any aspect. Ok, it's more expensive so it would be a shame if it was just as good. Still, my brother have this csl pedal (soon with LC), the construction is still better than the tlcm, with full metal construction. It's not as good looking, maybe, but it's more rigid. IMO at the pretty same price range, this csl pedal is better, even the LC charge is a bit lighter than the thrustmaster. The only thing is not nice is the standard face pedal, but it can be changed (with money, damn it fanatec, it should be in the pack...).
@@RacingPotato12 If you are trying to argue that V3s are not a significant upgrade from T-LCMs then I beg to disagree mate, as would anyone with functioning senses. Also the price step is reasonable and logical, unlike jumping to $1500+ peals. Try again, this time with thought.
@@SleepyThaDragon420 I'm not hating on Fanatec. I'm actually running V3 inverted (that I got second hand) with my VRS DD and my younger brother has T-LCM on his rig. T-LCM with rubber bushings on brake and a heavier spring on throttle are actually a significant improvement over what you get out of the box. I really wouldn't mind using T-LCM instead of my V3s.
Great video as always guys. Just a quick one if I already own the CSL pedals is it worth upgrading to loadcell and later to V3s or just go straight to V3s?
No need to even go to the v3s the csls are good enough. I have the v1s and they are a little worse imo. And the difference between the v1s and v3s are negligible
@@sufferr2914 I appreciate your response mate. I already pulled the trigger on the V3s and sold my CSLs but from what you've said and alot of new mods that have dropped for the CSLs sense my upgrade, you may be right.... 🤭
Looking to jump from my T3pa to the CSL pedal with load cell. Looking at the Fanatec design it is very simple...which is awesome. It leaves a ton of room to add different spring and rubber....or even a different load cell unit. I beleive a outer rubber+ spring which is not part of the load cell to offload some force can help for really stiff brakes. But I do believe the V3 should get a new version closer to fanatec sprint and similar expensive pedals and skip on the motors and other fluff for better pedals overall in the 300-350€ area
So I purchased mine few days ago and like others have said its very stiff. Im using a nlr 2.0 stand with office chair and seems like I can get the same travel distance as Will but only when pressing really hard or standing up then pressing on the lc break which feels unrealistic compared to a car. Trail breaking also difficult with so little movement down.. wondering if you can use the rubber from the standand break predal to replace a rubber and spring in the lc? Also anyone know if the v3s are the same stiffness? Might just take time to get use to but I read lots of people modding them with aftermarket parts to make them softer.
Thanks @boostedmedia, It's my first wheel coming from ps5 controller, I went all in and got the gt dd pro but with mclaren gt3 v2 wheel instead. I'm loving it but am disappointed with the feel of the pedals and way off my lap times from the controller. Is this stiffness the same for all load cell pedals? Like you say it maybe just getting used to it since being so confident on the controller the last 2 years. BTW I enjoy watching your videos even my 9yr boy is getting involved with it all. Keep up the great content!
Great vid guys, I bought this on the black Friday sales with a CSL DD thanks to your review. Quick question, I've been reading a few mentions of the short brake pedal travel, did you find this a issue? May be due to the mentions being from people new to load cell brakes which I will be one of :)
I just received my loadcell kit. I tried compressing the pedal whilst off the rig, but against a solid surface. It was soooooo stiff. Maybe 2cm of travel at most. Had me wondering if there was a bit of plastic packing wedged in behind the pedal surface. I'm hopeful it's not this bad when I'm in the rig :-(
I've had mine for a few weeks now and had time to get used to it. I came from a G27 so there was a big difference! I'm really loving it, a lot better brake consistency, I don't even think about the reduced travel now.
@@neivamotorsport386 nice. So when you press it the brake doesn't really move but still responds to pressure? And you can trail brake effectively? It seems weird for the pedals position to not change at all. Also I have a wheel stand and can only put so much pressure before it moves.
@@saintsalieri i notice that when you get in a car and start to drive the brake is less hard..at the begining i had also a bit problem but now its ok..trail braking is also no problem but like i said you need a few days..and with time i think it will get more loose the brake
Thanks so much for this review. I appreciate all you do for us and have watched many of your videos…I have one question-what kind of ear plugs/earphones are you wearing in your sim? They just look so comfortable.
Thanks for the encouragement mate. The ear buds I wear in the main rig are Sony XBA-4. Very old now. I won them in an competition when I worked at Sony. Using them because I have them rather than because they’re particularly suited to the task. They were horrendously overpriced at the time and have to be sitting exactly right on your ears or they sound horrible. I actually intend to replace them with some custom moulded in ear monitors soon. The headphones are “Bose QuietComfort 35 II”. They were sent over to us for the Porsche All Stars series and we love them. Great sound quality and incredible noise cancelling. Comfortable and lightweight too. I actually have two pairs now. Highly recommended.
@@boostedmedia Thanks for your reply! Just ordered the CSL DD F1 Esports bundle, so I'll try it with 90 degree brackets when it arrives. I'm sure I'll figure something out!
Wow, seriously in-depth review here, this is fantastic to see! (and maybe have on in the background while at work ;) ). The comparison to the Elites was an interesting one since you described them as a side-grade, but I had a question: You only reviewed the CSLs assuming that someone already had the Elites, but what if someone had neither and was looking to get into the system? Comparing the two-pedal set and (hypothetically, since the Elite Load Cell is discontinued) the three-pedal sets, is there one you'd pick over the other? My brain is saying the CSLs seem fantastic, but my heart looks at the aluminium construction of the Elites and cries that the LC isn't being made any more...
Neither of us really had a subjective preference for either over the other. Objectively the CSL is probably the better choice because it uses hall sensors rather than pots.
Very, very, very good review! I like that you guys came up on comparing to other sets of pedals on the market. However for me, it's a no brainer, since I already bought the CSL pedals... Load Cell is a must for me. I used the TrueBrake mod for Logitech pedals, which only has 20 kg Force to push all the way down compared to 60 kg on the CSL LC kit.. will see. Was a pleasure to watch the whole review. For me, it is the best amongst the other reviews I saw... And you did not want to unnecessary praise the pedal faces which gave me trust and not thinking about a paid promotion video.
What spring did you have installed in the Truebrake mod? I have the 60kg spring and it was pretty stiff already and looks stiffer than the CSL load cell in fact. Don't confuse Load cell capacity with the spring force in the pedal used to apply that force to the load cell. Two very different things.
@@Thisonegoestoeleven666 I have the v2.1 according to the box, which did not have the option to choose the springs, but the bump stops. Thanks for the clarification between the two, all I wanted to say is that I prefer applying force instead of finding the correct travel range for the pedals. That's the reason I'll go with LC.
Coming from a g920 and never having tried anything else before, how is the non loadcell brakes on both the csl and csl elite pedals compared to the g920 CLUTCH
Loadcell ordered via the black friday sale and now I need to get either lockable rollers or casters for my chair. I doubt my dumbbells will work anymore to keep me stationary :D
@@boostedmedia Yeah I realize that when you flipped them both over to look at the underside. I just picked up some Elite pedals thinking I could get the Load Cell Brake, so now in limbo as they are not upgradable. Thanks for the great review as always. Keep up the great content!
I'm actually quite surprised you guys are so negative about the TLCM's. I saw great reviews and opinions on Reddit and from other Sim youtubers, and i've bought them 2 months ago, and i'm really happy with them tbh. I agree they wobble quite a lot side to side. And the throttle is a bit on the light side. But I have no further complains at all. I really like the fact that the pedal plates are on the wide side. Can rest my foot on it really well.
It all depends what you’re comparing to them. Until now there hasn’t really been a competitor in the same price bracket unless you look at load cell mods for entry level pedals. So it makes sense that people were more positive about them given no choice if you want load cell pedals within this price bracket. As we said, there’s nothing fundamentally wrong with them. They just aren’t as good.
@@boostedmedia Hmm yeah fair enough. What just surprised me is that people said that you could better pick up the TLCM's instead of the old CSL loadcell pedals. And in this video above you guys say that the old CSL loadcell is a sidestep compared to the new CSL loadcells.
Both of us would pick either the CSL Elites or CSLs over the TLCMs every day of the week. But pedals are very subjective. If you prefer a much softer pedal then the TLCMs may be the better choice.
I have owned both the T-LCM and the CSL Elites with LC Brake(current pedals). I was able to have soooo much more control with trail braking, modulating brake pressure, and adjustability/comfort is not even worth comparing. There is literally nothing about the Thrustmasters I desire over the Elites and I will never have them on my rig again. That said, they aren't terrible. It is all relative to your own experience. As Will states constantly(as he should), much of this is subjective. But I am pretty surprised so many people would have recommended the T-LCM over the CSL Elites. I guess they are a tad more expensive though.
I actually really like my tlcm's. I did buy a brake mod straight off the bat though. Something about all springs on a load cell didn't sound right to me. Will, would really like to see a review on one of the thrustmaster elastomer mods such as the apex, or the 3drap mod which I am using, and really like.
I have an issue with these pedals and have looked everywhere for a solution. My throttle reaches 100% in software a good 1cm before the pedal bottoms out. No matter what I do, there's a good 1cm zone where the pedal report 100% depression. Its making throttle control impossible, because I'll lift off slightly and still be reporting 100% throttle.
@@boostedmedia cheers for the response. Tried to calibrate the pedal max about 5 times before giving up. But I finally got it to work. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the fanatec control panel software and suddenly setting max at 100% pedal depression actually worked.
I currently have CSL Elite set up. Thinking of upgrading to Clubsport. In comparison you mentioned clubsport allowed better trail and threshold braking but in summary you said not much difference. If replicating real world track experience is my primary concern and not just sim lap times, is it worth spending $400 on Clubsport?
Appreciate the detailed review - purchased the CSL pedals and load cell kit today and was wondering if they will mount to a Simlab P1-X cockpit without drilling?
Just sat here watching the tracking on mine, which I bought not long after this video came out. Nearly there, folks...nearly there. They're due to me in the UK on Monday having left the warehouse yesterday (Wednesday).
Very insightful review, thanks guys. I still have one unanswered question that is crucial for my kind of setup: is the load cell kit still recommended for people with a wheel stand? In other words, I don't have a full cockpit, so I fear I might push my seat back when I hit the brakes. Thank you.
This is probably too late to be helpful, but I leave some feedaback anyways. I'm using a wheel stand that includes a cradle to hold the wheels of an office chair. I find the load cell too be a bit too stiff for my setup. It's okay and usable, but I wish there was lower pressure adjustment. I may look at aftermarket adjustments.

The slippery pedal is easy to fix. Just get some soft rubber to glue on it. Problem solved ;)
@Joe.484 I've move onto a different brand pedals and wear a pair of reef shoes now. So much grip
I had a T300 and was thinking of buying T-LCM pedals, but they didn't look very high quality and there weren't many reviews, finally I upgraded to the Fanatec csl elite F1 set and then instead of buying the loadcell I bought the V3s and the performance kit, and now I'm happy and have a DD1 on the way
Hi guys. Do you think it might be very difficult to get used to the stiffness of the Fanatec load cell brake coming from the pedal set of a G25?
Great review as always. I was first caught off balance, that Fanatec would produce a component with no way to mount on aluminum profile. Then, the mounting solution for the front bolts in aluminum profile was instantly obvious. Using a pair of 90 degree brackets, hanging against the front edge of the cross piece of profile, one bolt goes up, into the pedal base, and one bolt into a t-nut in the single slot of the front edge.
Yep that would work. Good idea.
@26:18 how are you compressing the brake that far? Mine is very stiff
This was the comparison I was looking for thank you!
@Boosted Media Man your videos are so damn good and informative. Your intro was perfect and legit told me all the questions I had. then answered them all. Bravo man seriously good work. Across all your videos
You can adjust brake pressure in the fanatec control panel
Great work as always Will!
my load cell pedal fried my throttle pedal... it also has about 1/4 the travel compared to the one reviewed here. Still waiting on a response from fanatec 5 days later. apparently lots of people are having the same issue. Im now stuck with no pedals and no answer from fanatec.
😵 There is nothing else in this price range....
same boat mate. throttle was DoA. This is the most frustrating experience I've had in awhile.
@@kymosabetsl3684 So even their pedals are worth nothing....I'll have to pay more to have peace.
Thanks for the feedback
Appreciate the summation for the skippers. 👍🏼🛸
The load cell is on sale for black friday. ,€20 off.
Great Video, I'm looking around to replace my Thrustmaster pedals. Your video has help me to make up my mind.
Thanks for taking the time to review this set of pedals. The mounting solution does seem to be poor on the base plate. would be nice if they had some type of counter sunk holes from the top to make it a little easier ?
I live in the UK, love your channel and love your energy in the morning too Will !!!.. wait a minute you live in Oz!.....doesn't matter
My pedals feel much stiffer than yours look in the video. I think they changed the stiffness from what they sent you. Thanks for the video.
I’ve had a few people comment similarly. I confirmed with fanatec that the design hasn’t been changed.
Thanks a lot guys this really was very informative and helped a lot! :D
Having just purchased some CSL Elite Pedals I guess I will be waiting for the load cell kit to return or a future V3 upgrade further down the road.
The load cell for Elites is discontinued.
Elite V2s are brilliant. Absolutely worth the extra and I prefer them to the V3s. Check out our review of them.
Very informative, thanks!
hello! i can see that your load cell brake pedal its fluffier than mine... my brake pedals is extremely hard! how can i fix that? thank you
Get a 20x10x25 Blue Compression Spring. Makes it a little softer and gives better travel.
Preparing for my first setup and now I’m on pedals , load cell or not , I do a lot of gt and endurance races . Leaning more towards fanatec
can i use the csl pedals on console with a usb adapter and thrusmater wheel?
Well, I have a T3PA, and I feel the CSL w/Load Cell will be the best and only upgrade I make, especially since there is already a lack of feel in the brakes to begin with. Especially since I plan to slowly upgrade to a full Fanatec, setup, I think it's a no-brainer that the CSL is the first pedals I get. I highly doubt I'll even look towards the V3 or any other pedals that might come out in the future.
V3s with the performance kit it is for me. Thanks guys!
Great review guys. I hope Fanatec have done some decent resilience testing on their servers because I think they're gonna take a beating on the 26th.
my loads cell fanatec doesn’t not move as much, but much less, the spring is much less compressed while i am breaking hard
Great review! Quick question. Will these (CSL + Load cell) fit nicely with Next Level Racing F-GT cockpit?
absolutely mint review lads. I am in the exact boat you were discussing. Looking to upgrade my trusty G27 setup. If only these were available in New Zealand :)
How do these stack up against the elite v2? Great video and I’m learning so much from you guys appreciate the help
I had the Thrustmaster Load Cells. They added to my experience when I was running my T300. But you can instantly tell the fanatec pedals are better.
Not much of an upgrade tbh, especially if you're running T-LCM with even minimal mods. The next sensible upgrade from T-LCM has to be something like Heusinkveld, not Fanatec.
@@RacingPotato12 sounds like you hating on fanatec ;)
Is the CSL Load Cell pedal compatible with the CSL Elite base? Meaning the pedal will fit, screws align?
No.
Is that possible to connect this pedal to Thrustmaster T-GT 1 wheelbase without hubs?
Great video as always guys. Just a quick one if I already own the CSL pedals is it worth upgrading to loadcell and later to V3s or just go straight to V3s?
No need to even go to the v3s the csls are good enough. I have the v1s and they are a little worse imo. And the difference between the v1s and v3s are negligible
@@sufferr2914 I appreciate your response mate. I already pulled the trigger on the V3s and sold my CSLs but from what you've said and alot of new mods that have dropped for the CSLs sense my upgrade, you may be right.... 🤭
Which is best. Connecting the pedals to the wheelbase with rj45 or straight to the pc with the usb, ive just bought the load cell
Hi, have you tested 3D Rap mod for CSL LC kit?
What were you using before? A load cell brake is going to feel stiff compared to most other cheaper alternatives. Take the time to get used to it.
I'm hopeful it's not this bad when I'm in the rig :-(
If anything the travel is a bit longer than I’d like. So no it hasn’t been an issue for me but it’s a subjective thing.
@@boostedmedia how much travel should I have? Great review, although I haven't watched it all, yet.
I've had mine for a few weeks now and had time to get used to it. I came from a G27 so there was a big difference! I'm really loving it, a lot better brake consistency, I don't even think about the reduced travel now.
@@supercededman around 2cm is what I have
My brake is much harder then yours..is it pocivel to do the brake a little less hard??
Did you figure out a solution? Just got it and it feels terrible haha.
@@saintsalieri no i didnt but i got used to it..you just need few days and then its ok mate
Also, thanks for having the chat with Tom. I really liked that part. It’s nice to hear you two bouncing ideas/etc around.
How do the CSLs with load cell compare with the older Clubsport V2 or the Clubsport V1 pedals in your opinion both of which have load cells as well?
Any suggestions for mounting on an aluminium profile rig? Could you just use 90 degree connectors and mount to those?
That’s what I’d do
@@boostedmedia Thanks for your reply! Just ordered the CSL DD F1 Esports bundle, so I'll try it with 90 degree brackets when it arrives. I'm sure I'll figure something out!
wait so could I diy invert these like I have done to my logitech? im going to upgrade to a full fanatec setup and wanna know
Ordered everything in this review.
Enjoy!
The load cell upgrade costs almost 2x the price of the base pedal set. A better option may be selling the base and buying different and better pedals.
Good review...but i have a question. The invert mod is possible? I see easy to separable, and has holes at the bottom.
I don’t see any reason why not
Great video ,I’m looking to upgrade from a Thrustmaster T 300 and T LCM to a fanatec bundle. What do you suggest for the PlayStation five.
It doesn't look like it'd be difficult to change the spring out. Id be surprised if they don't come out with stiffer ones as an upgrade in the future
is it possible to use the load cell brake and the accelerator only without the clutch pedal?
Coming from a g920 and never having tried anything else before, how is the non loadcell brakes on both the csl and csl elite pedals compared to the g920 CLUTCH
Loadcell ordered via the black friday sale and now I need to get either lockable rollers or casters for my chair. I doubt my dumbbells will work anymore to keep me stationary :D
Does the new load cell brake pedal fit the previous CSL Elite pedals?
No
@@boostedmedia Yeah I realize that when you flipped them both over to look at the underside. I just picked up some Elite pedals thinking I could get the Load Cell Brake, so now in limbo as they are not upgradable. Thanks for the great review as always. Keep up the great content!
Hard question. The new CSL pedals with load cell, brand new. Or used, but well-preserved, ClubSport V3. Which is the best one to take?
V3 for sure. Did you not watch to the end of the video where this comparison was discussed already?
Sounds like there is a top deadzone in the calibration. Should be able to calibrate it out with manual calibration in the driver.
If replicating real world track experience is my primary concern and not just sim lap times, is it worth spending $400 on Clubsport?
would the duct tape method work for mounting?
Appreciate the detailed review - purchased the CSL pedals and load cell kit today and was wondering if they will mount to a Simlab P1-X cockpit without drilling?
Someone had the smart idea of using L brackets for the front holes. Seems like it should work.
@@boostedmedia That worked perfectly - thanks so much.
Just sat here watching the tracking on mine, which I bought not long after this video came out.
Nearly there, folks...nearly there. They're due to me in the UK on Monday having left the warehouse yesterday (Wednesday).
Is it possible to combine the csl loadcell with the standard csl ELITE pedals? Is it compatible?
No
Very insightful review, thanks guys. I still have one unanswered question that is crucial for my kind of setup: is the load cell kit still recommended for people with a wheel stand? In other words, I don't have a full cockpit, so I fear I might push my seat back when I hit the brakes. Thank you.
You will need some way to secure your chair or stop it moving back, yes. What pedal set are you upgrading from?
This is probably too late to be helpful, but I leave some feedaback anyways. I'm using a wheel stand that includes a cradle to hold the wheels of an office chair. I find the load cell too be a bit too stiff for my setup. It's okay and usable, but I wish there was lower pressure adjustment. I may look at aftermarket adjustments.
