So about the "spreadsheet available on patron thing": Some people are taking this to mean that I am putting some of my content behind a pay wall. Patrons get early access as they have for some time. I'm making a video titled "can you make money buying gold on ebay" which will contain the data and will be made public when I'm finished. Until then, if you want early access, you can join my patreons, but you don't have to!
got mad for a bit, shouldnt have doubted u my man
How much did that cost? All the golden stuff on Amazon
sorry Cody, i made this post about cash, and made up number just to see how many dumb fucks can get excited, and as we can see: many. I didn't ment to You make less money on patreons. Just an experiment, and turns as expected. Keep up with Your stuff. Greetings and best regards.
Ya got me, I wasn't honestly mad that you did that cuz money is good and all but this is a nice run of events
Thank you!
"hmm...needs more spoon."
There is no spoon.
"I'll just stir in an extra spoon"
Dang it, Same reply almost. You win.
That got me laughing out loud.
"Let's stir in just a couple of extra spoons just to make sure I've got enough" and then literally stirs in a couple of extra silver spoons. :-D
It feels like I've been waiting for this pun all my life without even knowing it.
LOL good one
In current prices due to the tragic times, the profit margin is a lot higher at about $8000 in profit, as opposed to $1950 in profit back at the beginning of 2018 when this was filmed. Nice!
did it increase? i googled it and apparently 345 grams of 24k gold is around 21,000!! assuming its 24k which im pretty sure it is
@paul beenis what
i laughed way too hard at "just gonna stir in a couple spoons" just casually melting into the pot
“Oh, you mean stirring the liquid with a spoon?”
“No, I’m _stirring the spoon”_
Those spoons melting was extremely satisfying to watch
For real!! There could be a channel similar to the hydraulic press channel where they just toss things in a lava pit like this...
Ryan you are living in 2050 my friend. Toss in everything!
like the terminator 2 part where he lowers into the molten steel.
Will it melt?
That spoon is like:
"I'll be back."
I understood that reference
I was hoping someone made a reference
It gave us a thumbs up on the way down.
Remember to give those melting spoons a thumbs up.
I could hear music behind that phrase
Gold is a truly remarkable and valuable metal that has captured the human imagination for thousands of years. It’s unique combination of lustre, malleability, and rarity makes it highly desirable for a wide range of applications, from jewellery and art to currency and investments.
I completely agree! Humans have treasured and valued gold for millennia, and its unique properties make it a fascinating and versatile metal. From its lustrous shine to its ability to be moulded into intricate shapes, gold has inspired countless works of art and design. And of course, its reliability as a currency and investment has helped to stabilise economies and provide a hedge against inflation. Thanks for sharing your appreciation for this remarkable metal!"
Thanks for bringing up the question of how to liquidate gold once it's been found. It's not a complicated process, and it's always a good idea to seek education and right ways from a financial advisor you are right.
@@charlotteflair1043 what financial advisor do you suggest that is the best for Gold ETF??

This was so informative, and interesting. I watched a vid on the big gold joint in Europe, and where I got lost was the chemical crazy shit, and you laid it out beautifully. I still am lost, but I am closer to being found with this crazy cool shit, thanks to you. Great vid, sir.

In Cody’s soup, he stirs in a couple extra spoons to get the desired taste.
That's the funniest thing i've heard/seen all week. "Let's just stir in a couple of spoons."
I bet no one has ever uttered that line before.
"I'm running a little low on nitric acid, so I decided to make more."
The most Cody quote Cody has ever uttered
Made from sulphuric acid, which he extracted and purified from some old car batteries, and potassium nitrate, which he derived from a handful of potash, and nitric acid which...
...wait, this goes around in circles...
He has also started a story with "...So I was in my garage making explosives...".
Hands down best gold video I have found. So well put together you cannot help but to learn" how to". I recommend to any in gold; or any precious metals work.
Cody, you are something! Me, being a mom who’s son passed in ‘96, I’m proud of you and your resourcefulness. I admire your brain and wish you all the blessings for your life. Take and and may God, our Creator, bless and protect you forever!
I am so sorry for your loss. Parents should not have to bury their children. May God wrap you in his love and bring you peace.

Probably the most impressive thing about this is that Cody's been stockpiling jewelry for this long.
I'm wonderin' who sells old junk jewellery on eBay? I took a few things I had to a local jeweller who gave me a credit towards a ring I had resized.
Ones i've seen are parts of estate sales, etc. where they're just trying to get rid of it without too much effort.
I think he might be a bit of a hoarder
Just so he can melt it.
I live for the sentence "Let's stir in a couple extra spoons"

That's how you get nitric... you produce it. buying it is impractical.
@@xjunkxyrdxdog89
Depends how much you need. It's impractical to produce liters and liters of nitric acid when it's relatively cheap to purchase reagent grade nitric in bulk.
@@DarkMatterX1 fair enough. I was only thinking of the hobbyist when I wrote that. I wasnt really thinking about applications that would require bulk nitric.
What a great video ! Happy I found this channel
I love how epic this is. Taking all the gold you refined, buying all that jewellery and so on. And I like your camerawork here.
I loved the bit when you put the silver pieces in the furnace and we can see how quickly they melt from the heat.
Instantly one of my favourite Cody's lab videos.
and add 3 tablespoons of silver haha
Bailey Reid HAHAHAHAHAH
*add three silver tablespoons
Bwahahaha
There are a number of reasons for that.
1) Extra silver does not hurt the inquart - a shortage will. It risks the gold passivating some of the silver so that it is trapped in the gold during the nitric acid digestion.
2) If the silver is obtained from jewelry, much of it contains solders, which reduces the calculated silver content.
3) The manufacturer is allowed some tolerance on the silver fineness. The manufacturer will use the least amount of silver necessary to meet the minimum fineness requirement - thus minimizing the cost.
4) The excess silver is recovered later and requires no additional chemicals when using the electrolytic silver recovery method.
@@buggsy5 Its a joke buddy, the tablespoons were made out of silver.
I freakin love your channel Cody! I love watching these gold recovery bits! *If you let me know, I can send over some jewelry, or nuggets to play with!* Thanks for sharing 👊💛
Gotta say, I'm extremely excited to see Cody getting higher quality equipment as time goes on. Feels like it won't be much longer before there's an actual lab rather than just whatever spot he happens to have around to set everything up.
'I'll just stir in a couple more spoons...' had me choking on a cup of tea. Never seen the phrase taken so literally before! Thanks Cody.
Man, what a great video watched this 4 times in the past year.
"Melting my mom's jewelry and tableware to make gold bars"
I was really not expecting that first spoon to melt so quickly.
Anyone else picture that spoon giving the thumbs up as it descended into the gold?
Joseph Jurczak I muttered the terminator theme to myself
same!
Lol me. I thought he would show a scene from the film
Those spoons melting down, Reminds me of the Terminator going down in T2, 👍
Watching you putting the spoons inside of the furnace is making me think of the terminator 2 movie. Slowly disappearing into the molten steel (but this is gold).
Cody's grandma: "Cody, have you seen my silverware? I can't find it anywhere!"
Hahahaha
Lol
Don't worry about the people getting mad about the patreon thing, with the great vids you post up and the amount of work you do to get them done you deserve to get payed for it mate. True fans of your show will understand and all the others can get stuffed.

Unstable elements tho. can never be completely filled :/. Also radioactive elements lol
