My hometown :) I grew up about 4 miles from downtown and it was a wonderful place to grow up. Now I live in Mebane right next door to Burlington but am in Burlington daily . It is a really nice town
Awesome look back home. I grew up in Graham. Went to Southern Alamance in the mid to late '70s. First stop always, Zacks, I do miss seeing Zach III when I cruise in now.
Born and raised there, moved to Florida when I graduated from Cummings in 92 but my family still lives there. Spent many afternoons in that library while my mom worked as a secretary at the local Catholic Church. There was a comic shop right across from it. Sad to see downtown so empty.
I went to high school at Graham High School, worked at Burlington Industries as a teenager over 47 years ago. I visit my brother and sister every chance I get. I have fond memories of Burlington ( worked at K&W Restaurant too. ) the mills are gone , and the times have changed since I lived there ( Green Level ) I Love the city and the people of Burlington.
One of my favorite memories as a kid was when they added the teller lanes at the police station to more easily pay parking tickets and some drunk drove there and tried to cash a check! Lol
I have to say this but the food hall? Literally next door is Ocassions, an established restaurant since the mid nineties and let’s not forget Zacks hot dogs since 1928.
Hi Todd, great channel! I saw your video on Shelby and was wondering if you had to choose between Shelby and Burlington, which town would you prefer to live?
@@toddventure Thank you! I've been looking for a place to call home here in NC and it's been challenging. Saw your video of Shelby and went there last weekend. Thank you for posting!
Was It the twin? I remember the Janus was further down the road and there was another one across from cum park plaza. And then of course there was the drive in!
@@donaldyoung2983 that one was 10 minutes from my house, one of my earliest memories is watching AIRPLANE and OCTOPUSSY with my parents. I remember being embarrassed about the name "OCTOPUSSY" 😆
Hey Todd, little late to comment here......... Wife and I looking at relocating and just love your video style. Following now. One statement...... You folks are so lucky to be in a such clean and orderly place. Clean, clean, clean. We live in Portland Oregon and this once beautiful city is a dumpster fire shithole. Drug addicts, graphiti, garbage, needles everywhere. We are done. Don't worry, we are MAGA repubs. Cheers brother, keep the camera rolling!

I've driven by on the interstate, but never been there. It looks like a nice place to stop!
I love burlington...
The May Hosiery is now an apartment building. I live there and the interior is wonderfully created. Very cool building.
Cool beans. Gotta go visit
Enjoyed the walk around and tour Todd
Such a fun town to visit.
Love our town, unfortunately its getting out of control busy now 😢 it's kind of sad to see. You did a great tour of it! 😊
Thank you, Kettlebelle. I need to see that carousel next time. 🙂❤️
@@toddventure oh yes! They did great on it 😄

I contacted LabCorp and they sent me an automated email with Burlington, NC as the address.
Greetings from California!

When I go back, I need to hit those. 🙂
Mebane pronounced --- Meh-bun with the emphasis on the first syllable
Does anyone remember the dog food plant that was near the Amtrak station???
Yep
I was like 4 years old and me and my grandma used to pick up my uncle from there so my grandma car had a permanent dog food smell
Hi Todd, great channel! I saw your video on Shelby and was wondering if you had to choose between Shelby and Burlington, which town would you prefer to live?
Shelby, for its charm and music scene but Burlington for its location and convenience to larger cities.

That's very sad about Portland. I last visited there around 1980.
