You clearly know foto but the hand launch, and hand catch.... The most odd I've seen presented all time. Wait until You get older.... Looking straight up.... No, no and no. You will not even think about any of that over head work.
An arm, straight out works perfectly well for both starting and landing, for both the little Mini 3 pro as well as for a Mavic 3 pro. It's especially good to watch the drone while landing.
One remark is avoid hand catching in gusty winds.

To risky to land on a flat hand mate. No control at all. Are you going to let an inspire land on your little flat hand? 😂😂😂 Wait until you get some more experience at flying real professional drones and not just small mini drones and see what happens!

@@amycreighton I approach the flat hand but of course close some fingers around it when it touches the hand. Using a straigh out arm You can make sure the drone aims at the middle of the hand, not half way beside the hand.
My post told which drones I work with.
I'm looking forward to see You hand exercising "professional drones" even if surely a majority of Your viewers don't use the big dragons. Why didn't You use such a one if Your strategy has a point there?
You're not alone showing hand catching and hand launching. Have a look at what's told from most (all?) other skilled drone video producers. I've watched quite a number of them.

@@Stefan_Boerjesson hmm so you think bringing a drone down to your face to land is smart? lol and most UA-camrs don’t actually run a video production company, they only run a UA-cam channel, I would suggest you go and watch them as your not bringing anything but negativity mate. 👋🏻

@@amycreighton Bringing the drone down to the face? Land on the tongue? Joking!
There's an armlength between my face and the hand/drone, vertically. You have zero vertical distance.
You aim at a hand right above Your face! A gust in the last fraction of a second when the drone goes in landing mode, You are closer to get the drone in the face then I am!
I faced that gust once, got a finger hit by the Mavic 3 pro prop but managed to get one finger around one of the arms and caught the drone before it would fall down to the ground. When You are hit by that evil gust Your face is right below.

@@amycreighton Just measured the distance from the tip of my nose to the center of the open hand- It's 65 cm, 26 inches. Safe enough with my drones.
