    The key is just to eat clean, your body will demand certain macros based on your caloric output. Also be aware of food sensitivities, your body will tell you what it rejects vs needs

    Thank you for this video it was very in formative.
    Ive been doing crossfit only for about 8 or 9 months now.im 50 yrs old,and go 5 days a week.im pretty much addicted. Iam though, about 30 lbs overweight. I actually gained ot since starting crossfit which I completely was not expecting. My goal was and is not to "bulk"up,but to just be more fit and toned.like I said I've gained almostc30lbs.im sure some of it is muscle by now,and everyone says I look good and healthy ,and I do in fact feel good,although I was at 160 a year ago which is a goid weight for me,now im 190!
    I know the scale is something to stay away from,but I do measure 1nce a month.i have not lost any inches which is dissapointing.
    To get to my piunt.i have been doing my macros and micros and decreased my calories by about 400,giving me aprox 1400-1500 hundred calories a day.i drink about 62 oz of water daily,I use mct and collagen in my coffee in the mornings, im just curious if you have any suggestions or ideas on why I'm not losing this extra body fat if im eating so well and being so careful?
    Im really confused.there's so much conflicting information out there and im not sure what I should do?
    Thank you again for your video.please,help if you get this.thanks

    • @nicolascristal3915
      @nicolascristal3915 3 роки тому +1

      It depends, if you don't notice any negative consecuences during training, go ahead and fast. If you feel dizzy/weak, carbs are a fast energy source, maybe eat one or two fruits (banana) + coffee in the morning

  • @mco5383

    Question: you said if I am getting the calories I need I wont put on weight.. if I am getting the calories I need with a good focus on Protein Intake (via macro tracking) will I not put on size / weight?

    • @lindayya
      @lindayya 4 роки тому

      No. If you are getting the amount of calories that you need according to your current weight you will maintain the weight you currently have. If you want to gain weight you need to eat some more calories. If you want loose weight you need to est less calories. This will vary person to person and ot will depend in people's goals.

    In theory reducing calories after alcohol-intake sounds simple, but in reality when your body recovers from alcohol your willpower is low and you are quite hungry. No way that in reality I'll be able to reduce calories in a hangover.

      Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he was saying like lets say you go to the bar and have 2 big beers, you need to adjust your calories for the rest of the day. But yeah, after a LOT of drinking, it's always easy to power down some unhealthy food!

    Pretty good video there. I'd also mention that adjustment is VERY important; some people respond with great sensitivity to increased caloric intake, while others actually get LESS active/caloric burn. Personally, when I try to gain weight, my body feels quite hyperactive/fidgety, and although i'm targeting 500 calories or so over my maintenance, i end up burning several hundred additional calories simply by being a surplus. Similar things can happen in a deficit, where some people get more and more lazy, etc, so it has the opposite trend.

    how do I lose stomach fat though. I need the calories for crossfit..but I feel the extra calories won't help me cut the fat from my stomach. I hate it..I see results everywhere..and my stomach sticks out..im losing my mind. I don't know what to do

    • @WODprep
      @WODprep  2 роки тому +1

      It's tough as we can't choose which parts of our bodies to lose fat from - often it comes off the stomach last so you have to figure out how important it is to you to lose it. (and how important CrossFit performance is to you in comparison!) You can probably strike a decent balance of eating enough to fuel CrossFit while being in a small deficit - enough to lose any excess fat. It's just figuring out what that is for you!
