This song is very deep when you start to dig
A girl told the rich guy off so the rich guy, out of spite, goes and marries her sister and the family doesnt care because hes rich. Note she says how awful he is but then says "he's got lots of money, we all really like him." Scarecrow and fungus are the married couple doing something they weren't supposed to do, run the stoplight. Solder two wires means get married he had enough money to bother someone else and now hes her brother
