first! xD on a more serious note... he should fit well in the LRE infront of isabella... he gets ranged and melee buffs when he stands still, he is tanky af and he probably fits in the power weapon dmg / 3 hits tiers of LRE. I dont think he is game changer but he wont be in the bulk of stone1 heroes as totaly unsusable

This is a valid point actually. He might fit well with Tyrant Guard too in order to protect another front.
I like that he's Deathwing and has the right colors for that to show off the Dark Angels well. Maybe he can be a tank with an Anti-Tank Role because of the Plasma Cannon
Yeah he looks great and the colours are bang on
I think, from a pvp perspective, he would do great with other dark angels since he either benefits from them easily (Azrael’s passive and Sarq’s active) or is tanky enough to get in there alongside Asmodai to help him pummel people down. Overall I think if you run a full dark angels lineup he will shine, but otherwise he’s still tanky enough to consider for LRE’s and GW at least🤷♀️
In TA I think there will be better options tha asmodai. GW maybe

Great review and am glad I watched this first before preparing for the upcoming GRE. He sounds like a mixed Russian-roulette + 'hit-and-miss' character; essentially a niche character like Njal.
Yeah some people will like him and he will have some uses but like you day mixed luck

This guy is going to be a monster in LRE. Stick him next to Sarq and Tigarus.
By not giving him a ranged weapon he benefits from Ragnars war howl
He at least gets boosted by sarquael's active and thad's passive so there is a potential team.
Seems like a good mate for Asmodai... as they are both Power / Melee they might actually have common LREs. Esp if they are fighting chaos i guess
He will pair well with some DA for sure
So it matches Varrus since the psychic fortress blocks it with a 50% chance, which would increase the effectiveness of Baraquiel's passive?

As a latin-based speaker. Dark angel names are, of course, angel names from the bible in most cases. These names have been latin in most cases, meaning that in case of baraqiel the sound of the E is not an english E but a latin E. More like the second E from beheaded. You're welcome!

Those names are Hebrew. Properly Baraqiel means 'My lightning is God' or 'God is my lightning', but GW might have had another idea
@@redsilver2309 I did not explain myself correctly. What I meant is that these kind of names are usually pronounced with a latin accent, not that their procedency is latin. That would have been an absolute BS as the Bible is way older than latin language. Yup, Hebrew is the correct origin, latin is the "correct" pronunciation.
I think he seems dull since he is following kharn who is a blast. The tankness of this character will be his strength. Rush him in, tank some overwatches and get the buff, follow up with the other DA characters. Definetly not a GR character and i wouldnt take him there, but for sure i will be using him in LRE and GW

Looks like wel have to hold out for the Legendary to see if that pulls the faction together.
Will be interesting to see I do like a few of the DA but suppose every Faction has its bad apples

I think you've raised a really good point in passing here. The tacticus meta is so well established (especially in regards ro guild raid) that any new characters that aren't immediately relevant risk being sidelined. In your opinion, could this be a problem for engagement with the game long term?
It's possible would all depend on any future new modes or even character buffs to refresh the roster

Yet an other pvp character. If someone likes dark angels, than he definitely gonna help that team. As for events and what not, he's probably gonna be good in survival modes. If that ability can stack indefinitely, than loads of attacks gonna make his passive proc at least a couple of times. Without trying him out, I don't wanna say much about his passive's strength, but I think it shouldn't be linked to rng. It should just happen after every attack and just put a stack cap on it. OR if there is no cap on it, than he would be great against summoner teams. But the thing is... I still have to get my kharn to gold 1 before doing anything with this guy. THAN I have to get him to gold 1, to be able to fairly test him, soo yeah... His active ability at least looks neat.

Wait for real? Sure he's not adhering to the ooga booga, bigger number better person gameplay that this game perspirates but by no means is he bad. He looks fantastic in LRE and Tournament arena. He's different.
Yeah he will have his uses I agree but just feel there will be better choices and more characters that come out he will be forgotten but like I say some people will like his style
He truly feels quite a bit underwhelming. Even though his theoretical synergies with the other Dark Angels appear to be nice, in the end he would profit a lot from Tigurius’ passive
and using the word boring is perfectly fine. Sad to see the Dark angels fall in the category of the Black Templars before their rework. They were bland as fuck!
Additionally i am willing to bet at least 1BS that he was designed way back together with the other Dark Angels which was at a time When Snowprints comparisons were the truly bad (Death Guard) or boring Factions.

I hate the coolest looking units always end up being hot garbage. That plasma Cannon should be his normal ranged attack and he should be overwatch to go with the others amd fit into asmodais buff

Oh well still looks more usable than asmodai, seriously if at least asmo suppressed ALL on active it would be useful somewhat in arena

@@pumpkinsoul12 I think my biggest disappointment with Asmodai was that his active only makes one dark angel attack when used on a chaos unit, which sometimes makes someone like Azrael attack instead despite the fact that Asmodai would do more damage. I think it would have been way better if he made all dark angels attack the enemy if it is within their range.
