It has some nice features but they really missed on the price tag. $40-$50 seems like the right price range for it imo. Maybe in a year or so there will be some really nice deals or second hand ones to get at a reasonable price
Especially since I think you need to have Nintendo online for it to work having it at $100 to then having to spend $20 if you don’t have the Nintendo online seems like to much.
The amount of pillows blankets or clothes i would stuff over that thing in order to self righteously go back to bed would be pretty impressive. Awake me thinks it’s a great idea. Sleeping me would be quite grumpy in the moment 😅

Honestly, for $100, I’d never. If it was around $50 I’d still be antsy. It’s fun, and would make a great holiday or birthday present for a kid who’s REALLY into Nintendo stuff, but as an adult, I don’t think I can justify it for myself. Thanks for such an in-depth review AustinJohn!
That might be who they're targeting. Christmas gifts for teenagers/college kids who like Nintendo games. Parents all want their kids to wake up on time for class 😂
I love your response when you first got up and were like “okay that was pretty neat.” It’s gimmicky Nintendo at their peak right here. That price though, hard pill to swallow.
For that price tag you should be able to preview the songs, have integration with their other sleep things, and still should be max of 50 bucks! I knew I wouldn't get this but watched anyways to see you suffer with the alarms, and then you semi liked them, so the bonus of seeing your girlfriend suffer unexpectedly was great XD Love the bonus of getting to see more of your tattoos too!
I heard some people use their favorite songs as alarms and then after some time they really get annoyed when they hear that song. If I had this, I’d be sad to not like my favorite game songs
I have to say the Zelda sounds are hype as all hell and if this wasn't $100, I'd probably snag one. However like you said I have a phone and a normal alarm clock that wakes me up. I don't really need Mario to yell stuff at me to wake me up for 100 bucks. I am hoping these go on sale Black Friday or something.
Awesome video, thank you for your sacrifice to show it working in the morning. My wife is someone that will go back to sleep, and she feels attacked by the get out and stay out of bed feature. If only it had a decent internal batter so unplugging it wouldn't work.
Tbh, as a kid, with no cellphone, I would've loved this. As kids, we all had our beloved toys/electronics. I know $100 seems steep, but everything is expensive now, plus this is going to get updates, so for the right age, I think this is great.
The fact it has a function to get out of bed fully to actually turn it off, is extremely helpful for people like me where we struggle to get out of bed. Sometimes I can’t get out of bed cause of mental blocks and this might help fix that problem.
If someone made this with movie quotes/scenes, I'd be on it. Just imagine waking up to Frank from Donnie Darko saying "Wake up". Or better yet, the Pulp Fiction scene.
Ok the fact that it keeps you from going back to sleep is kinda baller. Idk if there's a cheaper option though because I REALLY don't want to spend $100 on a clock, but the concept is awesome
Imagine if there was a Zelda one with Navi screaming at you "HEY LISTEN" over and over until you woke up and got out of bed. Would love to hear larger variety of games like Metroid or other the classic games. The price is steep for it just as a fancy alarm clock. I'd be more interested in buying this if it was priced at like $50 not $100.
