@powerstart24 Nah the old games used to be *way* less random and luck based. You'd need to actually win minigames to have the coins to buy items and stars. @@definer0 it’s really not, the reason people think that is bc of the runtime nintendo says each match will take up like 10 turns will take up to 90 minutes while that’s only when you’re first learning the entire game it will take you longer playtime, i’ve heard that once you know the entire game a 10 turn match should take up to 45 minutes to 60 minutes not 90 minutes so 50 turns wouldn’t be insanely long like they would say it would take.
You can use either play style. Motion control minigames will be an option with 1 joycon and they will just be disabled if you use any other control mode
Only 50 mini games in normal the party game mode seems to be the one big limiting factor, technically the game has the most mini games ever but most of them aren’t playable in the main game mode?
I like the addition of Pro Rules. In SMP I won every single mini game in a round of the table top mode and probably got like 10 stars yet the game felt pity towards my nephew who didn't get a single star and decided to give him one more star than me and have him win the game. Pro Rules sounds like you earn what you win and there are no participation points.

Could've rated it a 1. Still throwing my money at it. Hands down 🎉
Hard for mario party to get 1. 1 is a game thats beyond broken never played a broken mario party game.
not having 50 turns is another missed opportunity to give it more flexibility in options. they had it before i just don’t see why not bring it back.
@@AllDarkReaper I could see that being in an update for the game honestly.
@@mileven3ggo3njoyer "Update the game"
C'mon man, we both know they're never gonna update this game. How many people said that the possibility of DLC was endless with Superstars and they did nothing with it.
50 turns is insane lol
@@definer0 it’s really not, the reason people think that is bc of the runtime nintendo says each match will take up like 10 turns will take up to 90 minutes while that’s only when you’re first learning the entire game it will take you longer playtime, i’ve heard that once you know the entire game a 10 turn match should take up to 45 minutes to 60 minutes not 90 minutes so 50 turns wouldn’t be insanely long like they would say it would take.
30 turns is max maximum amount turns
They finally did it; they surpassed the GameCube Mario party games. MP 6 & 7 are still in my top 3 though and that’s not changing

It's Kevin Afghani, the Super Mario Tom Cruise
Can I use only one joycon for each play or should I pair of joycon for each?
You can use one joycon. That would also allow you to play the motion control minigames
@@gamerrrdude4405 thanks for your response
Thanks, Nathan Fielder!
Im ngl this is one of the best Mario parties in the entire series… that was a well deserved 9/10
I remember buying the first one for switch 60 bucks and then superstar came out.. and I couldn’t get a refund :)
Do you use 1 joycon like Mario Party or two joycons like Superstars?
You can use either play style. Motion control minigames will be an option with 1 joycon and they will just be disabled if you use any other control mode
This was probably the best ign review in a while. Not saying much, but we’ll take it!
The Switch Mario Party games have been pretty good, and the online multiplayer has been solid.
Fun for family’s and solo.
Honestly I am tired of people spoiling the score. Stop promoting that as the top comment 🙂
Just don’t read the comments?
This person cares a lot about scores - confirmed 👍
Only 50 mini games in normal the party game mode seems to be the one big limiting factor, technically the game has the most mini games ever but most of them aren’t playable in the main game mode?
Ok, kids Christmas present. Got it.
I miss the co-op mode from Super Mario Party
Best game ever. Played it with the boys all day last weekend. Great drinking game too!
Do you need to use both joy cons in multiplayer?
I like the addition of Pro Rules. In SMP I won every single mini game in a round of the table top mode and probably got like 10 stars yet the game felt pity towards my nephew who didn't get a single star and decided to give him one more star than me and have him win the game. Pro Rules sounds like you earn what you win and there are no participation points.
