- In this video we are going to reproduce the old craft of Spin Art directly onto tempered glass. John will use his lap wheel as a platform to spin the glass. After the painting of the glass is finished we will apply a backing to facilitate hanging. See the results at the end.
When I first seen what you was doing on here I thought I don’t think this will be very impressive boy was I wrong. I loved it.
Thank you Connie
@@cornerstone-glassworks we just went into lockdown because of covid. It’s just me and the dog here all day long. My question is can you make a boat load of videos so I have something that is enjoyable and informative to watch
@@Wyrmwood66 Well, Connie...........that's very encouraging for you to say but you may have noticed that I haven't made any videos in a while. I was actually in the middle of my flying saucer video when I got too busy in the real-world to make videos. I would love to start again but I don't see things lightening up for a while.
Good luck! John
I would absolutely love to learn the trade 🙌
Hey DecaY Music, So sorry I overlooked your comment. Only just saw it. Yeah, when I discovered art glass, it was love at first sight. That was 38 years ago and I have never looked back. Thanks!
... what`s "that thaing" , showing when you try to focus, good for anyway? ;)
Hey Benjamin, I am not sure what "thing" you are referring to. Can you give me more of a description? Thanks!
@@cornerstone-glassworks This round thing at at 21 minutes and 20 seconds :)
Well, it sort of falls under the heading of "Can't live with it. Can't live without it".
Hello Sir, would you be so kind as to tell us where you got your spinner, how much or if you sell or custom make? Thank you so much.
Hello Miz, I bought my lap wheel second hand and it had no branding on it. I don't know where it came from but it has been serving me for nearly 30 years. Here is a link to a company who sells them

They are expensive. I would bet you could build your own motorized turntable for spin-art for a small fraction of what those lap wheels cost. A variable control on your turntable could be very nice as well. I hope this helps. Good luck with your project!
