a Tannen (German for 'fir') Baum (German for tree) is a fir tree, but by extension, is a Christmas tree, as the Germans decorated evergreen trees at Christmas. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert brought the concept of the tree to England, from where it spread to the new world. This is originally a German Christmas tune, but Tarja recorded it in a minor key instead of the traditional major key

I love this side of Tarja, right next to her rock persona. And you're right, she always has a beautiful dark vibe about her. In an interview, she was asked what she would do if she couldn't sing and she replied that she would like to play on stage because she loves performing in front of people. Ever since the Nightwish days, I've had the feeling that her performances are a bit like a theater performance. I love it. I am very much looking forward to the next reaction. And don't worry, I haven't understood English lyrics most of my life, even though I mostly listen to them. I still have to look at the lyrics separately. 😀

I think my favorite Tarja music video is “I Walk Alone”. It’s such a well done video and song.
