Heh ... it took a while from you to notice that the singer was the interviewer lady herself in the famous red dress of Tarja. Yes, this kind of a material open the target person better for us than just an short cut images and questions. I read that they had a warm contact with Marco before they did the first RJ concert together. Marco went to her hotel and knocked the door and she opened...then they hugged and teared a while. Tarja also contacted Tuomas via e-mail when his father passed away - Tuomas took that contact also warmly and was moved.
I'm seeing her with Marko in March! Can't believe they will actually perform together in Argentina again
Just bought a ticket for her dark christmas concert in Finland today. Cannot wait!!

I don't think that you had heard the song they played in this from In the Raw. It was called Loputon yö (endless night).
This wasn't really just an interview.... I don't really know what to call this show but they showed some other stuff in the between (it was just cut out in this one) and then talked a bit more with Tarja. And this was shown on one of YLE's channels which means that there is no comercials in the shows. And a side note: this interview was all live.
(YLE is like a national media company that is owned by the state of Finland. They have TV-channels and a few radio stations and stuff like that)
I think that always when Tarja does an interview in Finnish and it's then translated into english, some of it gets a bit lost in the translation.... but I feel like that is the case most of the times when something is translated. Because what you can not translate is the tone of voice, which something is said in.
I think I have noticed that even more, with Tarja since she is so expressive person.... not only by her manners but by the way she speaks. But these lost in translation -moments are usually just little things here and there.
When Tarja was asked about her relationship with the Nighwish members, I think the look was just saying "It is what it is. It's in the past"
I do love how genuine Tarja's answers always are.... and sometimes she does get a bit lost in it and talking more than what was asked but I think that's just a bonus.
I think you would really like the interview that Tarja did with a finnish chef Hans Välimäki in his TV-show Hansin Matkassa. In that show Hans travels around the world to visit famous Finnish people (who live abroad) to cook wiht them in their homes. There is an episode where he visits Tarja in Spain. They cook and talk about Tarja's career and life in general. I found it really interesting and quite funny.

The Michael Jackson lookalike In the clip was the blonde presenter Susanna Laine. She was not lipsyncing, but actually singing herself imitating Tarja's voice. She mentioned Jarkko Tamminen, a famous Finnish impersonator coaching her to sound like Tarja.

Thanks so much for doing this reaction. I love watching this video again with you. I found this interview completely by accident and I liked how it was conducted and what questions were asked. There was also good chemistry between them.
An enthusiastic stoic - I think that's a great description of Tarja. You have probably well named one of the reasons why I like her as a person. This way of thinking is very close to me. Many fans like Tarja because of her openness and childlike enthusiasm for the world, even though she herself has gone through many difficult things. She must be a great person to talk to, not only as a celebrity in an interview, but also as a friend with whom you can talk for hours about many things and thoughts. I'm lucky to have a few similar friends around me.
And we all really know what questions not to ask her. But of course I'm also curious. :-D
The questions about death are very poignant because this interview would have been about a year after she had her stroke, but she hadn't spoken about it in public yet, so it's a subject she had probably thought about a lot during that year and the interviewers have no idea.

She herself was portraying Tarja for the sake of May Day. It's a popular activity here in Finland. 🎉🎈

Once again a wonderful reaction from you guys. And great that you share this kind of content to a wider space of the world.
One thing for you and others is that in different aspects ratios on the tv. You dont see the bottom line of the texting. When it was two lines. I had to change the setting on my tv to see it so no problem. But if you haved just set the screen up "right under youre beard" :) or done it more wide-screen it wouldnt be a problem next time. Still it works even now if people like me change the aspect ratio on the tv.

Puoli seitsemän ( 'Half past six' in English ) is a very popular half-hour TV program that started in Finland in 2009 and continues to this day, five days a week. The studio parts are direct and the program defines itself as "a good-natured live informative program in the early evening, with which you can also enjoy yourself". Every day a well-known guest ( like Tarja ) is interviewed in the studio. The personality of reporters can be seen in the story more than in normal current affairs journalism and there is always laughter and joy in the studio. The topics include, among other things: nature, consumption, culture, also popular culture, manual skills, science in a general sense, health and lifestyle.
