Thanks for the comment much appreciated! If you’re referring to the brush I used to make the carpet lines. I don’t have a name it’s just a random brush I had around the house. It’s not specifically made for making carpet lines.

Hello Josh, I just got my Tornador Max and was wondering how you separated the bottle from the main part of the handle?

@@careypulling1417 hey glad you liked my style of removing the bottle and running it off to the side.
To remove the bottle assembly. You have to remove the bottle then look up into the black lid from the inside up. You’ll see and large nut. It’s as simple as removing that large color nut. It is a bit tricky to remove. I have a large oversized socket set I used to remove it easily. But I do remember thinking it would be annoying to remove that with a crescent wrench.
Good luck hope it works out for you!

Just wondering, I wanna charge for two interior packages, like you. How would I clean something that was “basic interior” that didn’t include steamer for example, and was only available for “premium”. But again, I can’t clean it “without” the steamer. Also for conditioning/shampooing carpets for example, for the best cleaning, how would you do it without if the client didn’t pay for it?

Hey bro thanks for the question!
I have gotten disaster details where the customer only wanted a basic cleaning. They didn't want shampooing, even though the vehicle needed it, they only wanted to pay for a wipe down and a vacuuming.
once you've explained everything and that's all they want to pay for that's all you do. you can do a little extra for them to make your work look better but don't go crazy.
I don't find myself using my steam cleaner much. because its a bit slower then other tools I have. If I get a big budget job then I will use the steam cleaner because I have the extra time.
The only time I can think of that I really need to use steam is for Gum in carpet and paint stains on surfaces.
If someone paid for a basic and there was gum in the carpet I would remove it at a loss because that rarely happens but I wouldn't use the steam cleaner on the entire vehicle.
long answer but basically if the customer didn't pay for steam but you need your steam cleaner to treat a small area to help you deal with some dirt faster then you use it. I wouldn't get too hung up on not doing things they didn't pay for. Just make sure your work looks great.
At the end of the day the customer is paying you good money for a service and you should be making them happy.
just be smart about stuff. if they pay for 2 hours of work don't do 4 hours. but sometimes you'll get a nightmare car where you end up working that 4 hours just so you don't get a bad review lol

@@JoshJecklinDetailing Thanks man! Also, do you go beyond to do the cracks and crevices and the little things if they paid for basic, or just do a good wipeout and things in the service provided.

@@lowtrusted if it’s a basic just stick to a basic. Once you see a lot of vehicles. You’ll realize there’s different levels of basic. Some require more work than others. I would always use a detail brush on a basic and if there’s sticky pop in the cracks I would clean it up.
Do your best at the end of the detail just make sure to have them take a look and say if you want me to fix anything let me know. That way you’re covered if they want to complain later. But still if they complain after that tell them you’ll fix your work. Just make them happy and move on 🤣
Also realize a basic interior detail is different than a maintenance detail. Maintenance is a very quick cheap detail performed on a car you recently serviced.

I’d love to see a video for a basic vs. a premium full detail!
