Thank you Gia for thanking those of us working in the grocery stores, it really means a lot to me when someone takes a moment to recognize that we are also very much putting ourselves at risk for the public
💕 you all are precious
💕 you all are precious
The majority of our food is still from the beginning of March. We did go on Friday for fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and yeast. We’re hoping to not go out for another two weeks, but I don’t know if it will last. I went alone and wore an N95 mask and gloves.
I use to stock up on meat, fish, canned food and snack so that they'll last 3 weeks, ...BUT! We (2adult, 2kids, 1rabbit) usually eat a lot of fresh fruit and fresh veggies and I have to replace them every 10 days. I live in Bergamo, one of the worst affected city in Italy and it's very stressfull to go grocery shopping... Stay all safe and healthy! 💕
Bless you hun! I can't imagine going through this insanity in Italy. Prayers and love to you and your family!
I pray you and your family are safe!
Hey Gia...I have been suiting up and braving the grocery store once a week, but after talking to my sister-in-law, who is an emergency room doctor, I am going to start doing curbside pickup from this point on. Thanks for sharing that A-MAZING resource for hot meals for children, as I know that there are a lot of people struggling right now. We are blessed and fortunate enough to be doing well. Take care and be safe!
Gia, check into Express Scripts for prescriptions delivered to your parents home for their prescriptions. All they have to do is call their primary dr and have them fax their prescriptions in. I think it’s through Medicare, I just signed up for it and two of my prescriptions are free, mailed to my house free shipping. They even cover pet medications. So check it out. Also you don’t have to pay upfront . When your order arrives it will come with a bill. I was going to the store. But I have decided to start having groceries delivered till this is over as I am in the high risk group. God Bless you and your family.
Barbara your right if you have long term prescriptions that's a better option 3&6 month supply on hand
Thank you so much for that recommendation 😘
Great haul! I’m in the U.K., and did our shop for my husband and I yesterday. Did my own inventory of everything we had in the house and pretty much used everything then just shopped for the extras we needed. Managed to meal plan and shop until Sunday 19th, so really pleased with that. We’re one adult, one cart per store here so I had to go alone and it took around an hour longer than usual due to lining up outside the stores, but thankful I was able to provide and use my resources ♥️
We started monthly meal planning back in January as an experiment (previously we'd been planning every 2 weeks) and we love it. I cook about 5-6 nights a week because it works for us.
Since all of this started we still do one small grocery trip weekly for milk and fresh fruit if we're in need (we have a toddler son so milk and fruit are necessities) but other than that we buy groceries for two weeks and utilize the crap out of our freezer and pantry.
I have been using Instacart for the last two months. Did the math and found that, because I don't have personal transportation, it was cisting me MORE to take the bus to and Uber from the grocery store. I also cut down on spontaneous shopping and haven't thrown away any expired foods since I am not overbuying items. Maintain a strict $50 limit for each order.
We’re doing curbside for groceries unfortunately we don’t have services like Instacart in my area but I’m still super thankful for the grocery stores doing curbside! It still minimizes human interaction! Thank you to all the grocery store workers for helping us get food for our families!❤️
Michigan stores have restocked well Kroger Aldi Walmart Meijer but the tissue&paper towels till out😔 i been couponing for 4 years so well stocked on paper goods &cleaning products🤗
In Sydney 🇦🇺 they stopped all grocery pick up and delivery. They have now reopened delivery for “priority” customers eg the elderly and those with disabilities. As a single mum to 3 grocery shopping was nearly impossible. Luckily we are considered priority as both my sons have Autism so I got my first delivery yesterday.
Plan with Tan yes my son is autistic as well and a very picky eater it breaks my heart to go in the store and see they don’t have the foods he eats which are mostly can goods which are all gone 😢 but i refuse to live in fear God is my protector. And he makes a way out of no way!!
I'm in Auckland NZ, the supermarket approved me as for "priority delivery assistance" after asking me some medical questions and checking my mobility parking permit was valid... Book your next delivery as soon as you can to ensure you have food in the weeks to come, delivery slots fill quickly... Day 22 since I have been out, it is not worth the risk... I hope your communicating with your support network, and they are helping... Good Luck

I’ve saved so much money on gas, parking at the metro, entertainment. I haven’t even spent a lot on food.
I have been using WalMart pickup and only a couple of substitutions or out of stock each time. You can check the substitutions and out of stock when they text your order is ready. They load the groceries in my trunk, stand more than 6 feet away or come to the passenger side if I am alone and then “sign” for me. No need to double mask or wear gloves. Only been twice and we have stocked up for the next 2-3 weeks.
These are amazing for the youth god bless them as they help
Before quarantine I was using the Kroger pick up every other week. They charge $5 for the service, so I place 2 big orders a month to make that $5 worth it. Now that they have waived the fee for the time being, I use the pickup service whenever we need it. Which, strangely, we are going through less food that usual. For last minute need-to-run-to-the-store for items, I use the Dollar General just outside of our neighborhood. They are usually more stocked that the bigger stores and there are less people to interact with.
What I noticed about the grocery pickup is that the website will say items are out of stock but if you go into the store the items are fully stocked. Also the website has limits on all items and if you go in store you can get items that are not limited.
Yes! I’ve noticed that too but at this point it may be too risky to go inside
My son went grocery shopping in March and brought a month worth of food and we just replace what we use as far eggs dairy and fruits and vegetables
Love Kroger! Though in my area they have no available pick-ups. 🤞🏻 for next month! Stay safe 🥰
I agree..meal.planning is crucial!
I use instacart and haven't been in the stores in over a month. We are saving several hundred a month from not eating out, gas, and gym membership. I'm still coming in under budget for groceries even though instacart is more expensive. It's soooo worth it!!
My husband & I are switching off every week to go to the grocery store. We have 2 weeks of meals stocked up in case stay at home orders are issued here in Iowa.
We use Instacart for Aldi and car or walk to Walmart and my husband goes to Sams Club. The gloves and masks are gone so I wash my hands, keepmy distance.
I’m new to your channel and so glad I found you via Heather Austin. You’ve gained another subscriber right here💕💕
I've been doing Kroger pickup, every two weeks. I'm down here in Newnan, and thankfully my store seems to be pretty well stocked. I'm due for another pickup tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that they have all I need this time. 🤞At the end if the month, I'm planning to go to bjs for paper goods essentials for may. That's the only place I can find them down here! I've been sterilizing everything too before bringing it in the house. Stay safe!
Unfortunately I work at a grocery store as a cashier I live with my mom she works as a CNA so we both are still working but I try and keep her inside she's 64 and I worry about her so if we need groceries I get them after work but half the time when I get off there's never anything left so sometimes we are forced to go to another store but we are making due I'm glad you and your family are good
If you buy apples and oranges and store them in the fridge they will keep for several weeks. I do 3 weeks of grocery shopping at a time, we do berries, avocado, cantaloupe....things like that the first week and a half and apples and oranges the other half....it has worked out.
We go grocery shopping. During this time I want to be the only person picking my fruits and vegetables.
Hey Jia, so i heard that our local farmers have a huge supply of produce because the restaurants are closed or not doing as much business. I went to our local food depot and eggs were 3.75!!! I encourage you to search for fresh eggs in your area. Also, think about visiting the Forest Park Farmers Market for fresh fruit and vegetables....just a thought
Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver it's 22.98 for a set of 3 online at Walmart has been a life saver for my fresh fruit and vegetables that goes on fridge. I can honestly say my grapes, strawberries, plums, peaches, mangos has lasted for weeks at a time. I didn't wash until I was going to use it as the product recommendation.
They’re amazing!! Fruits and veggies last 2+ weeks every time!
Katie Paige Houpt Totally a game changer for my house.
loquetta giddins do you have the white and green set or the gray?
Aya G I have both. I just received the gray set so I can’t say how well they are. But the green and white is a God send.
loquetta giddins thank you. I hope the gray, it’s more my aesthetic
😂😂😂 Loved the flashback!!
iono, it appears ppl have realized to just shop like you normally would and not panic-shop. i went to walmart this morning and they was stocked up like a mug...hella milk, bread, eggs, oj, meat, rice, pasta, produce, etc
I wish, in my area the stores are still pretty empty everyday.
In my town, it's basically impossible to get an online order from Walmart anymore, since they never have any open pickup slots. Our other store that does online order is over a week out.....so I found myself ordering early, since I didn't know how long I would have to wait. I actually got up at 3 am trying to place the order and I think the only reason I got a time a week out was because it is Easter afternoon when there was an open time slot. And of course, like you, you never know if you will get what you ordered or not. I've meal planned for April, but really just ordered stuff for part of May. I know we aren't going to starve, but it still causes a lot of anxiety!
I have been going to the store for groceries, but trying to only go once a month alot of people in the stores aren't being mindful of others when I try to keep my distance to get down a aisle people are all over the aisle . I have thought about ordering online for groceries, but I don't know.
May God continue to bless you and your family.
Walmart pick-up has been working well for me. Only a couple items out of stock each time and I'm ok with substitutions. Flour has been hard to find. Oh and I wear a mask for pick ups too.
I've mostly been doing Walmart pick up. Last week, I got that order first and then had a meat order through Fresh Market and went to Publix to pick up anything missing from the first two.
God bless you for taking such good care of your family and your parents
😘😘😘
I LOVE that Freezer Inventory sheet you introduced. I've been trying to figure out how to track that. I just have so much more in my freezer than anywhere else, PLUS how much I have/used. I love this. I'm gonna go get it now (already purchased the other tracking sheets). Love it. This is great.
Your glasses can actually help protect your eyes so it’s good that you wear them!
I received my cash envelopes. I love love them. And I really appreciate the note
Thank you so much for your support😘😘👍🏾
Love the new cash envelopes prints!!!
Flashbacks are hilarious!!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
We love fruit. I've resorted to buying frozen and canned for when the fresh runs out. I'm only shopping every 3 or 4 weeks
I love that design for your envelopes. I’m going to head to your shop soon 😊
Thank you so much😘😘😘
What we are finding here in KY with our pick up services (at both walmart & kroger) is that the products are in the store on the shelf but they are saying "not available" on the website/app. It can be really annoying.
Great haul for and your family be safe stay blessed
I work for Shipt so I normally shop while I make my deliveries so I will not have to go more than once.
We have done hello fresh which does get expensive, hubby has went grocery shopping and we’ve done a pickup
You can choose to accept substitutions or not. There is even a place to give instructions - like I want my bananas green. If Kroger’s has to substitute, you pay for the cheaper product. You don’t have to do anything re your bill. They only charge for the groceries you accept.
Great tips for making food stretch, I will most definitely go check your other channel 👍
Let me first apologise for all the times i sat down and watch those persons who are called preppers and said, What are they doing? Why do they need that amount of food? it will just go bad. Boy I wish I had food to last me until this is all over. I am in a 24 hr lock down until April 14, 2020. The country has opened for three days Wed, Thur and Sat this week to allow us to order 40 items only, to pick up or have delivered, or you could buy pre -packaged goods. NO in store shopping. I am still thankful although i have very little vegetables and no fruit. It can't last for ever. Stay safe everyone.
We accept your apology if, and only if in future you learn and prepare... Order 40 items you use, even if you don't need it right now, who knows how long before the supply chain fails... Little food is wasted if you prep right, start small ONE extra thing a week ie beans, rice, potatoes, flour, yeast, salt, sugar, canned food you get the idea... I am still laughing at people panic buying toilet paper, I still have a years worth despite not buying any this year... Happy Easter
Grooversify1 This video is a great tool for starting a pantry... Would be difficult now under the circumstances, but may be useful in the future. Wishing you health and fortitude!! ua-cam.com/video/_Gk7yKcaGjA/v-deo.html
Thanks for sharing!!💜
I am so excited that you have a grocery haul this week. I purchased 18 count Eggland Best eggs for $3.68 at Sam's.
Wow! Great deal!
I just found your channel so I’ve been binge watching your videos. Great content. New sub. :)
Thank you so much for watching!😘
I have done pick up and delivery. At this point, as we are nearing what officials are calling "the peak," I don't want to go anywhere. I have enough food to last through the next two weeks, so I am trying not to order anything.
Me too!
Glad to see y'all
The places I normally order groceries online are full for days in advance! I was able to place an order for Monday :)
I've been going once every 2 weeks but didnt go last week because they said not to and I have asthma. I miss the fresh foods for sure
Is this your first time using Kroger? I only ask because their store brands are really good. They have a really good low price store brand, then the Kroger brand, the Simple Truth brand which is more like natural and organic, and Private Selection, which is their higher end store label. I have used alot of things from each store brand and they are really good. We love the big 3 pound bags of private selection frozen fruits, they are really good and a good option for frozen fruit instead of fresh. We also really like their Simple Truth Almond Milk.
Great video Jia
Do you have a local smaller meat market that you trust? The one I go to is never out. Some of them are cheaper but the quality is great.
Love your channel ❤️
Don't know about your state but in Texas restaurants are allowed to sale thru their wholesalers...we can get 10 pounds of hamburger cheaper than the regular stores
I’m making a whole chicken for Easter as well
Share your recipe! Looking for something new!
I haven't tried the Kroger Curbside yet. Wow they were out of alot today. Nice haul though. OREO's I need those in my life right now. Stay safe. 😄
We have to go to the store which I dont mind it's an hour I get to myself as my older son and husband are still working. I dont mean to treat it like a day out but the kids can wreck a girls head when your with them 24/7
Love your videos girl
I am going on my own. My husband has a health issue that puts him at risk. I go the last hour of the night to avoid huge crowds.
Are they usually out of stock?
Something they are out of. My husband is a type one diabetic and to avoid giving him the virus I avoid as many people as I can. Our town has less than 1,000 people in it so we are not as picked over as some stores.
The Tostitos have been flying off the shelf. I do online but I'm also going in to another store for things that store may not have, or to look for paper goods.
Jia!!! Ok so I bought the YT pro course and analytics course... now that I've gotten a name, what my target audience is, my reason and my mission...
Think im going to have to schedule that consult with you 😬
Yes!!!! Let’s do it👏🏾😘
I think the thing that sucks about the online pickup says when they are out of so much you're almost better off just going in and shopping because you can substitute things yourself. obviously I could be exposing yourself to more people but then again although some people are walking around shopping in the store that these people are pulling the groceries from. 🤷I know whenever I was at ALDI in the route of a lot of things would have normally but I was able to find other food I knew my family would eat easily so it wasn't like we're going to run out of food options.... I just didn't necessarily have my preferences. my oldie was sucks really well whenever I went the other day hopefully yours is when you hit it up as well. we are going to need to do a Costco run again I'm actually debating on if I could go on Easter I don't know if they're open. I guess I should look into that. I feel like maybe they wouldn't be less people there since it is a holiday I feel bad for the workers having to work on a holiday though. our Costco is closing early though so the only time I'm going to be able to shop without kids is going to be on a weekend and I don't think we could go another week necessarily. I feel like Saturday the day before Easter would be really busy though.
We have been going to the Grocery store, I live in NJ so now they want everyone to wear masks. If you dont wear a mask you cannot get in to do your shopping. So thinking about just doing the online or pickup which is much easier.
Hi, what camera are you using? Stay safe.
I purchased the printables but the freezer inventory wasnt included. Is that available?
It’s in there now! Log back in and go to the place you first went to to print. If you have trouble, email me Jia@marriagemotherhood.com
Hi Gia , you can look up Oreo personality for Charles it’s a cool description of individuals who love the cookie.
Sounds fun! We’ll have to do that
I did my grocery ordering the same way... I added way more than I needed expecting them to not have half of it. 😩
Tiffany... I ordered groceries online last week and only received half my order. Still ended up having to go to the store🤦🏽♀️ Can’t wait until this is over
I am like you I do grocery pick up at my local Kroger.
Didn't recognize you. Hope your ok? Love your videos
Great vlog as usual! I just started my channel this week and uploaded a grocery haul. Would love if you could watch and provide any tips/recommendations. God Bless❤️
Where are you getting your disinfectant wipes? I can’t find them anywhere!!
LadyM. I can’t either! You know what my 15yr old daughter thought of? To cut the Clorox Mop Clothes in half! They are meant to mop your kitchen, but they kill 99.9% of germs. They are bigger and thicker than the actual Clorox wipes. It works! And I’ve noticed stores have them in stock 🙂
Velina R. Oh my goodness, thank you!!
LadyM. You’re welcome! 🙂
Gloves sis and spray the bags w Lysol..don't touch without the gloves
Jia, did you say you're groceries were in garage for 2 hours? You had fresh meat, please tell me you have a fridge in your garage. Don't get food poisoning while trying to prevent COVID 19
It was very cold that evening. I should have mentioned that
New subscriber. Mi really like your vibe.
Thank you so much for watching and subbing
Thank you so much for watching and subbing
We are doing good just to try and keep bills paid
I wear two masks at work because where I work. It is better to be safe than sorry I wear a mask now when I am on the bus gong to work and home
❤️❤️❤️
LOVE your videos! You are so funny with the double masks!!!!!! LOL! :)
Thanks so much for watching!
Im the truck driver. We have fresh for every one
Thank you so much for your continued work to feed us 👏🏾
The masks are great...make sure they are snug to your face tho...and try to make them with white material so you can bleach them when you wash them
Be safe wear your 😷 mask
Definitely!
I’m watching your old videos now I just your family and your hauls
*love
Definitely! The mask doesnt protect you, it protects others!! Wear them yall!
Try adjusting the metal piece on the nose and straps to get a better fit. There should be a tight seal otherwise you are sucking in the air like a straw. It could also be the second mask blocking the airflow that caused your glasses to fog. A thin surgical mask would work better as a second layer.
💖💖💖💖
💕
I still don’t get why ppl are wearing masks in their cars. Lol. I leave groceries in the bags and wipe them down because don’t know who touched the package
Is your mom selling her masks if she is I willing to buy, hope you and your entire family are doing well.
Hello Jia
Jia! for a mask to work you need! to put it on right and it has to be a good model. The White one you got is not one of those it´s not tight on the edges. Since you cover up with the home made one it´s better but not as good as a good fitting mask.
Are you told to wear masks where you live? People who are healthy?
The only ones I have seen wearing masks here is asian exchange students a total of 4 (+ a stupid guy who works in our veggie store . He bought a single use mask dedicated for hospitalworkers, online, probably a mask stolen from a box that was ment for a hospital and he wears it all wrong and have had the same one for over a week now) and all of them had special thick tight fitting masks.
I still go out and buy food, loads of ppl do that here in Sweden. We don´t really use pickup or home delivery here otherwise so not all stores are used to that mehod. I help my mom, her best friend, my boyfriends parents and some other ppl and shop for them to. I try to have on trip to the stores a week. I say stores cause some stuff can be out or at a good price in one store and other things I find in other stores. I help them with other stuff than food to like medicine, hardwear, stuff for their gardens aso So it all takes a couple of hours to sort : )
We still find most stuff in our stores, fresh yeast is all out everywhere since a month and dried since two weeks. People are baking alot of their bread to get fresh ones. We had a dip on toiletpaper a few weeks ago. And antibacterial are out "everywhere" . Regarding food and household cleaning aso some brands are out so one have to do substitutes but in the whole we are fine.
Btw, the stuff Trump is saying about Sweden is so NOT true. We don´t need new laws that tells us what to do. Our goverment has told us to work from home if possible, to keep safe, help eachother, use alot of soap, be low social and not travel to other parts of our country or visit our elders. Most of us tend to do as we are told. We are causious, keep distance and are only aloud to have gatherings for less then 50 ppl.
Our schools for up to 15 yo are still open so all the parents can keep doing their jobs without worrying about the kids. Everyone from 70yo are told to stay home and let others do their shopping aso. Shops, restaurants, coffeshops aso are all open tho most ppl use them for takeaway/drop of. Loads of ppl are spending time outdoors, exercising, walking aso tho by themselves or with their closest family.
The deaths, this far for our whole country of a bit over 9 million ppl are less then 900 people (all sadly missed ofc) and about 11.000 confirmed to have or have had Covid-19 (including the once who died)
I hope you wiped your grocery off. Sanitize everything. I've seen the packers without masks and gloves. Also, they send you an alert to substitute items about an hour before your pickup. Oops you did wipe items, typing while watching.
I would not want someone touching my apples or any produce that isn’t cooked...
I know😒 but at this point it is what it is
Are you doing keto still?
She said in another video as I agree nobody has time to be stressed about ketosis during a pandemic
Hi
Please respond to me
Why the mask in the car?
