They said it early in the case. , Bragg listed three crimes that Trump intended to commit: violation of federal campaign finance limits, violation of state election laws by unlawfully influencing the 2016 election, and violation of state tax laws regarding the reimbursement.
Also the indictment listed 34 falsifying documents charges.

Andrew A. Weissmann is an American attorney and professor. He was an Assistant United States Attorney from 1991 to 2002 when he prosecuted high-profile organized crime cases. This is and others like Andrew, should be on the Supreme Court!
The jury wasn't present when Merchan was dressing down Costello. The jury saw Costello's disrespectful, arrogant behavior. Costello played to an audience of one. He showed the same rudeness the jury is familiar with in tRump. Something that likely is subconsciously registered rather than conscious. Merchan excuses the jury and then goes into round one of admonishing Costello for his contemptuous behavior and before Merchan can ask the jury back, Costello doubles down and Merchan clears the courtroom. So the jury is oblivious to most of the drama, provided they can avoid news coverage of this.
But Cohen had already addressed his statements to Costello before Costello took the stand, Costello was grandstanding and dwarfed in cross by the woman he showed discontent plus the jury went out of the court before deliberation with email messages that not only proved Cohen had good reason to distrust Costello but also left the impression of a guilty conscience on the side of tRump for sticking Costello on Cohen like a mob boss.
