Machine guns... *could* be useful?

    This was a hard match to find since a lot of people are running very gimmicky builds. It's definitely not what I can call "good", but it was interesting to try out. The plasma whip is a little more optimal since you can easily run into vertical angles more often and being this flimsy means you're subjected to all sorts of nonsense when lag comes into play. Swapping between the machine guns keeps up a decent amount of stagger while the curtis helps build it. Ideally you would punish with the dagger into AA but this matchup proved... interesting? I love lightweight builds so much but they're really spotty with this current regulation.

    Machine guns in this AC bring me so many questions with how the game's built. They're made for close range but don't do anything significant that another weapon can't do better. They can't be dual wielded because they generate recoil to each other when used. This is problematic for any weapon outside of melee's where you have no choice but to be in an animation since a shotgun or any weapon will generate recoil to the machine gun you're firing. I could see them being a useful weapon for engaging faster ACs but even then you just have better options available. If anything, I hope this video at least shows they "could" have potential if Fromsoft ever finds a way to fix them.

      what weapons would you suggest to replace them? I currently run 2 ludlows with the aim of staggering people to combo them with slicer. They're also fantastic for clearing out trash mobs. for PVP I understand Vientos are optimal, but for PvE does something outdo the ludlows?

      PVE is usually considered pretty easy content, so you can almost use anything and it'll be fine. Every mission will also vary on purpose why you'd bring them but definitely viento's, pistols, curtis, and even shotguns do fairly well as a replacement. Ideally anything that you can use reliably and won't have an enormous load of recoil from usage. You can always alternate fire the listed weapons and recoil isn't too big of an issue, but with how machine guns work... idk, they lack versatility compared to most other weapons. If you want something heavier, there's also gatling guns too.

      They need a range boost, I feel like many of the smaller weapons have way to restrictive range. I get the don’t want the sniper wars of 4th gen but it’s a bit ridiculous in 6 how close we have to be

      That... is actually amazing LMAO. I didn't realize that stat affected charge time. Welp, back to the drawing board.
