The more I watch other watch UA-camrs, the more I realize Andrew Morgan is the only one I look forward to watching. This guy makes genuinely good videos.
It's weird, I only started collecting watches 15 years ago, and you could get a Tudor or Orient (et. al.) for peanuts...but they were still making a profit. Now they are 10x (plus) the price .....but here's the problem: my wages arent x10. So Im basically left wondering where my enthusiasm for watches can go now that even the 'working class' brands think they are too good for us ? Perhaps you need to do a piece on this ? I bought a Hamilton Railway Special pocket watch last month, for £250. in beautiful condition, a piece that shows off all that is great about watches, a polished/finished movement, with history, a story and a legacy....gave me goose bumps screwing the back open and seeing the amazing movement.... best value thing Ive ever owned In my opinion.
I think it’s several parts that add to the total increases we are seeing (I don’t know the specifics on Tudor or orient so I’ll generalize). Going from most objective to subjective: -supply chain for parts have increased heavily the last four years. Where people are used to one or two increases a year they could be seeing 3-6. This forces companies to both account for the increases and estimate what their costs will do before they implement their own increases. -this doesn’t just mean cost of the movement or the raw materials. This could mean the cost of labor, the rent on the buildings, cost of marketing both conventionally and through influencers and social media etc. -to combat supply chain issues many people are investing in in house operations. However, cnc machines and programming labor are also increasingly expensive. These parts have a very high level or finish and polish so a high end machine would be required to produce. -there was a spike in second hand pricing that has come back but watches and many other products that have a gap between msrp and street pricing have been able to use this as a reason to raise prices. Popular brands get more elasticity here. Lesser popular don’t have the same opportunity to raise prices the same way.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the AMZWATCH, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I was lucky to get hands on with an Atowak at Watchpro last weekend. They're even more impressive in the flesh. Still not my cup of tea, but impressive none the less.
I must admit that Felipe Pikulik moonphase watch certainly has my gentleman juices stirring. Stunning piece. Oh, and technically the grand seiko doesn’t actually tick does it? Super video as usual.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.

I bought a watch from AMZWATCH lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.

A boring black Tudor to add to the other 524 boring black Tudors. The 37th Speedmaster release this month. And a shitty watch only famous because the scandal around it. The absolute state of this market.
That Tudor GMT is a nice pilot's watch. If it had a solar-powered quartz movement with perpetual calendar, and cost < $1,000 instead of whatever Tudor charges, pilots might even buy and use it. Even better, give it an ani-digi movement, like the Omega 1665 with a tasteful window to display the calendar, chrono, etc. OK, that sounds like a Breitling with a GMT hand, which is exactly what I'm describing, but, with solar power and at a justifiable price for an *actual* tool watch. Yes, many pilots are happy with an Apple or Garmin watch, but there are lots of us who want something that'll work for decades instead of needing to be replaced every three or four years. Also, remember the < $1,000 price point. Moreover, some of us pilots want a real, mechanical, analog watch face with real, mechanical hands. But the rotating bezel, plus all the lume is great - keep all of that. Seriously - if you know of such a watch, let us know!!!
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
I would like a GADA watch with the simple looks and sub 40mm size of a 50’s/60’s non-integrated Swiss sports watch, but with the solar quartz’s tech of a casino or Citizen, the finish and spec of a San Martin, all for £800 or less. Does such a watch exist?
Given the attention paid to attractive and beautiful dials, I can’t fathom why GS are intent on spoiling them all with a date window! (And one at the asymmetric 3 position too)
Definitely some watches I hadn’t seen before, beautiful pieces. I really wish the FOIS had the Safire back as well or the option for it. Because it’s the best of both worlds. Amazing dial, that I think stands up to anything in the industry that’s mass produced AND a truly amazing movement that one could argue is the best in any watch, anywhere (GS don’t say a word! Hahaha). I absolutely love the FOIS but I might go sandwich just so I can see the movement.
Nice to see MAMACOO show a watch that can be afforded by almost anyone rather than these pieces costing thousands and thousands which are out of reach for so many.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
It is quite telling to compare comments on Andrew’s channel to those of other highly viewed content producers. The intellect required to keep up with his quick wit self selects the audience. That’s why I often have to ask my wife what he meant!😅
The Tudor gmt watch has the urge to play in the navy by the village people and to join the French navy while eating a croissant in your comfy seat 🥐. The marines with there dive fxd watches is jealous about you eating that croissant , merchi 🥖
I don't watch comedy on TV any more. Its just never as funny as watching Andrew talking about watches.
The more I watch other watch UA-camrs, the more I realize Andrew Morgan is the only one I look forward to watching. This guy makes genuinely good videos.
The Lance Stroll jab was stunning. Thanks for the good laugh!
OMG I'm actually laughing out loud at this one!!!!
@@Emil77777 That had me in stitches as well🤣🤣🤣
Can I have the timestamp for that?
I must have missed it...when is it? I have to rewatch the video again..
As someone from Quebec Canada, I can attest that nobody ever talks about Lance Stroll here. Nothing like Gilles or Jacques Villeneuve.
Andrew, you produce the most interesting and informative videos in the watches world. Thank you!
Absolutely hilarious and informative, kudos sir !
Seagull didn’t buy Venus, which was rolled into Valjoux in 1966. What they did buy was the rights and manufacturing tooling for the Venus 175.
I love how they (Tudor et al) make these expensive watches supposedly for the military, yet in reality they'll mostly wear a G-Shock..
They're made for the Walts, not the military!!
Or a Suunto and Garmin. Tudor is for role playing at home on the couch.
Love this series of videos. You do all the hard work and I can just enjoy the results xx
Great video Andrew❤, i like the new Tudor GMT..... look pretty good.
Love that H.Moser!
"more touched up than the entire choir" 😂😂😂
😮

The quips are killing me. 😂
The era of Grand San Martin is now
😂
💯
Of all the supremely witty turns of phrase, "Bovine Bank" is one of the very best. Kudos, good sir.
Okay. "Biggest miss since the Santa Maria" was up there too.
That Atowak has me rethinking my money priorities....
Bravo! Another tour de horology
Magnificent prose as ever from the master. We are not worthy
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the AMZWATCH, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I like the new White dial with green accented Speedy with gold case and green leather strap
I never want to work that hard to read the time
went watch shoping last night. now it looks like i'm going back
to get which one?:)
Love MAMACOO watch,Such a great looking watch to match with the precisionist movement.
I was lucky to get hands on with an Atowak at Watchpro last weekend. They're even more impressive in the flesh. Still not my cup of tea, but impressive none the less.
I expected a deeper analysis on Thierry Stern's words and Patek's new release. I think it deserves a whole video.
Keep these videos coming. Please cover Christopher Ward Twelve, the Seiko Marine Master and Citizen.
2 content releases in a week? Niiiice❤🎉
I must admit that Felipe Pikulik moonphase watch certainly has my gentleman juices stirring.
Stunning piece.

😂 love the films and music quips 😂
What is that charge up 2 handed strike attack that he does at the beginning of every video called
That GS is stunning. 🩵
Genuinely got a little excited when you said you’d send me a cookie

Well I for one want that cookie. But that grand Seiko is absolutely stunning. So is the price...
My favorite watch channel without a doubt.I’m happy to spend my money on MAMACOO watches. I’ve never been let down by their products
You'll be hearing from my lawyer about that cookie.
Your description of the Cubitus is summed up in a phrase I use, and it really irritates my wife.
"I don't not like it."
“Highway to the duty free zone” - brilliant 🤩
Right then, where's my cookie?
Check your browser 😁
@AndrewMorganWatches Touché! But what if I watched the video inCOGnito?
The expensive grand Seiko are incredible second hand and are beautiful things
Gentleman's relish! 🤣
Brilliant. But also 12:53 - this isn’t a “bicompax”. Compax refers to complications, not how many registers there are. Love your work!
Hmmm need to see the PP in person. Odysseys had similar sentiments but has done well
Phrasing!
😄Awesome "Event Horizon" reference.
That "Event Horizon" watch doesn't look bad. Not sure about being "Diddy-levels of familiar" with anything though😱
AMZWATCH Stunning watches stunning video you are special i love it keep it up
That FEARS is absolutely gggggourgeous! Best new watch in ages. And affordable.
No biggie but the Moon Phase One is based on a ETA6498. Gorgeous watch!
I bought a watch from MAMACOO lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
That Moser is phenomenal
I believe no man can say no to AMZWATCH's watches
A boring black Tudor to add to the other 524 boring black Tudors. The 37th Speedmaster release this month. And a shitty watch only famous because the scandal around it. The absolute state of this market.
Cynical, but probably not wrong
Cheer up.
The Tudor goes hard, the speedy is mid and the Patek actually looks pretty cool.
Bold take, Im not sure I disagree
I like the Black Pelagos GMT FXD as I love my Blue Pelagos MN23 FXD
0:34 a little on the snout... missed opportunity
im always ready for Andrew to wax lyrical

The Lance Stroll dig is the highlight of the whole video.
I like chocolate chip cookies 🍪 the best. Lol.
I definitely need to ask Santa 🎅 for a new watch.
I’ve been a good boy
Bad dog or good boy... Pick one!
@ I’m good during the holiday season. 😂
@@BaddogSports 😂
The Cubitus looks like a steak pan.
I got the try on the cubitus and I think it is nice but not as nice as you would like it to be.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
Where is my cookie?
". . .and the main currency is fighting. . ." 🤣
That PP looks eerily like the Cartier Santos !! I'm surprised there's no cease and desist going on from Cartier !
I feel the Tudor's volley ball comment was a missed opportunity to mention playing with the boys 😂
Le meilleur pistolet, I get it. Je ressens le besoin, le besoin de vitesse!
the lance stroll joke got me good

Diddy levels of familiar with it had me drooling with laughter and horror at the same time 😂😮
If Aston Martin made watches, Lance Stroll would clash wrists with someone in front of him before spinning to top of the fridge.
solid Platinum in Ali Express...LOL
Stayed till the end. Where’s my cookie? 😉
Check your browser 😂
@@AndrewMorganWatches Suspected something like that! 😆

When it comes to fine imitation watches, MAMACOO delivers. I've bought from them several times, and I've never been let down.
Oops, it’s Wednesday 🤔🤗
Remember when Mr talking hands and Tom did do that together
Shhhh. Stop making Felipe Pikullik more famous. I want to get more of his watches before they become unaffordable.
Came for the watches. Stayed for the windowlicker slander.
I don't go for sweets, you can eat my cookie, Andrew.
McSoylent meal 😂
Can I buy a watch in England
Tudors are so boring.
Also, i dont know when this video was written but i love that lance stroll lived up to this jab in brazil last weekend.
Touched up more than the entire choir.... 😂
The cubitus seems to be the love child of a nautilus and santos.
nautos
I received an email for the AWAKE Dare to Dream watch. Would you purchase?
After my initial repulsion to the Cubitus, I've warmed up to them. So I got one for me and a couple dozen as gifts.
Glashute Original makes a square watch 10,000 times more good loking than Patek, go figure.
FYI, Thierry Stern is the owner/president not the CEO.
I don't understand the hate for the Cubitus. If someone can love the Nautilus, Aquanaut, or Royal Oak, why not the Cubitus?
Diddy levels 😂😂
I was told there was cookies.
The McSoylent Meal? well played.
8:46 "the most off putting milky ring since that albino orgy." eww...
