Jordan did a show with DT in 1994 (search for it on UA-cam) but couldn't join at the time due to touring commitments with Dixie Dregs. After Derek Sherinian was ousted (because JR was the band's first choice as keyboardist all along, and Derek was known for being very friendly with female groupies [which is a bullshit reason for firing someone- I mean, are DT a bunch of anti-sex Puritans?]), this was Jordan's first show as an official member. "The Triport Rock Festival" as it was known was the first large rock festival in South Korea, and got rained on by a typhoon. If you've seen my "Falling Into A Change Of Awake / When Images And Words Unite" video, that's what LaBrie was getting at with his "the gods were on our side this time" comment. Voices is missing from the video, though you can hear the very beginning of it after Hollow Years.

진짜 악조건속에서도 저런연주묘기를 보여주는 엄청난 팀인듯..드림씨어터가 눈앞에서 연주를 한다는게 넘넘신기했던 시간들,조던루디스 출장반주로 합류한지 얼마안되었을때인데 바람부는데 악보넘기면서 고생하셨습니다.

Sounds more like it was added afterwards. Usually crowd mics pick up a good amount of the PA and the ambience of the room, where as the whole concert sounds dry as ass... 😀
One of the last shows JP used the old Ibanez. I hope he brings it back someday even just for one song a show.
Maybe one of the last that he used *only* an Ibanez, but he still used several Ibanez models until August 2000. His 7 string (the white and black picasso) and the guitar he would use for Home (the camo picasso) were still Ibanez until then.

와 99년 트라이포트...ㅜㅜㅜ 내 고3시절, 지금까지도 잊지 못하는 최고의 라이브였습니다... 태풍이 직격하는 상황에서도 우리나라 최초의 락페스티벌, 69년 우드스탁 못지 않은 열정들이었지요..ㅜㅜ

드림 띠어터의 공연도 좋았지만 딥 퍼플의 공연이 최고로 멋졌다는...ㅋㅋㅋ

MrDreamTheater3, I heard John Petrucci in an interview state that the reason they were uncomfortable with Derek's lifestyle was because the other guys in the band had families and would often have their wives and children with them. Whether or not you agree with their reasoning is moot. Obviously, Jordan is the keyboardist they wanted all along but them being uncomfortable with Derek and all his women made the switch that much easier.
Too bad, because I think Myung and LaBrie really, really loved him. Especially Myung. Derek I think always knew DT was never permanent.

I think it should be understood that Myung made a mistake. Everyone gave a great performance in the worst conditions.

He saw three throat specialists who all said there was nothing they could do except have him rest his voice as much as possible. However, on January 12, 1995 against doctor's orders, he was on the Waking Up the World Tour in Japan promoting Dream Theater's Awake album with his voice far from normal.[17] LaBrie has said he did not feel vocally "normal" until at least 2002. He has also said that this era was a very hard time for him as a singer, and depression as a result caused him to consider departing from the band, although his bandmates supported him and urged him to stay.
