Listen to Take A Bow. He has what I like to call a tribute solo to his Dad in there. It's amazing. He plays and records all the instruments and sings. Tours with a band that is super tight.
I like to say he got his acting chops from his mom, Valerie Bertinelli, music talent from his dad, uncle and paternal family. Definitely recommend checking out his song that was a tribute to his dad. The video was amazing
WOW! Just...WOW!! So I'm bouncing around looking for videos to watch and see the 'WVH' on the title. I know who he is but never heard anything from him....until now. Verry impressed...love that sound!!
They are opening for Guns & Roses right now on tour. That whole Mammoth WVH album is a banger! He also played bass in Van Halen for 7 years. He's the real deal.
Glad you liked it T LOL Wolf has massive talent Distance is a killer track and pays tribute to his dad. Yelp have a box full of tissues because it is very touching
Since it became available to listen to on Spotify I listened to it numerous times and eventually bought the album on Amazon. It's an outstanding album even more so when you learn he played all the instruments when recording it. And yes, Distance is an amazing song. Really hope this dude has a career as long as his dad's.
My son (whose first concert was Van Halen's last show in 2015), and I, were crushed when Eddie died. Wolfgang is carrying on an almost impossible legacy with grace, reverence, and talent! Mostly, it's incredible to see him walk in his father's footsteps, without becoming his father. Wolfgang Van Halen is his own man, and if he continues on the path he's begun, he's bound to become a legend in his own right. Long live the Van Halen name.
You should check out the song:I’m Alright from his second album. Only go for a live video shot by someone with good seats from the audience. He’s growing as a player and some of the live shows are amazing. Find a video shot in a club where the audience is full and close. It’s good!
I don't know if you know this ''T''....but Wolfgang has been the bass player for Van Halen with his dad (Edward Van Halen- guitar ), uncle ( Alex Van Halen-drums )and David Lee Roth(vocals) , since Wolf was 16 !!!!!!...he's like 30 now !!!
W O W! One of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen! I’m happy to see you reacting to him. I don’t know much about him but i saw a performance after his dad died and he wrote a song fir him and i was very impressed!
Definitely check out some more of Wolfgang. Check out some Halestorm if you get a chance. Love bites (so do I) misery and others. Lizzy Hale will blow your mind.
He indeed inherited his father - but his actress mother too. I can easily see him slipping into a movie here or there - and eventually he'll open for SNL. You heard it here first. lol I really enjoyed your reaction. New Subscriber ♥
This is my first time hearing Mammoth too. I knew of Wolfgang but hadn't heard anything from him. Wondering if he does guitar solos or not? I wanna hear more too. Thanks for the post!
@@joecavazos1786 You got that right. I just listened to "You're to Blame' and it kicks ass the old fashioned way. The odd time signature gives it a dramatic feel and his guitar work is impressive. The solo had a sound all its own and interplayed with the backing bass march reminiscent of the best old school rockers. Thanks for the tip. It's on my playlist now.
Texas i see you alot! I love Wolfie too looks like he has a little actor in him From his Mom too! showing us his humor . He just got engaged hope he has a whole bunch of Eddies running around because he was too young to lose his Dad
His dad said when he was 12 he was going to be way better than himself he was not kidding. He was playing in Van Halen when he was 15 and played for 15 years!
Love his humility and humour. He obviously inherited a massive musical talent. Maybe his Uncle influenced his drumming, too? ( Alex is a legend amongst those that smack the skins). I know his dad encouraged him to play drums. His voice is amazing. I hear a lot of Dave Grohl, and Chris Cornell in there, too. I hear a bunch of other influences, too - He's not derivative, but has tinges of his favourite bands in there. My favourite would be the little pick slide right at the end - a nod to his father.
Very cool that you checked out Mammoth WVH (Wolfgang Van Halen) I really dig his whole album. Wolfgang says his main instrument is the drums. He did play Bass guitar on several Tremonti records recently. *Tremonti is a phenomenal band if you haven’t yet heard. *Mammoth WVH currently opening for G’N’R this Summer.
YESSS Wolf was in EVH for years with his Dad and Uncle! Touring since he was very young! You can find concerts with them jamming together!!! Wolf said He doesn't want to be a carbon copy of his Dad he wants to be himself! Now a few songs were written for years and His Dad got to hear them and loved them He wrote "Distance" before his Dad passed away! He is up for a Grammy in January for that song! I remember reading an interview with Wolf and He said his Dad was a bad teacher with guitar.... He would go so fast he would be like POP I cannot do that just show me this or that LOLLL but his Dad played piano he learned from his father and taught Wolf Now Eddie could play drums too like his brother so I guess they both taught him .... I dunno! Actually Eddie's Mom and Dad And Bro were immigrants could not speak English and his Father loved piano and they came to USA with that piano and their Dad put them in competitions playing piano and they won most .... EVH's Story is very very interesting! Anyway Wolf is so talented and I know His Dad is looking down so proud of Wolf
I knew before this he could play bass as he played on Mark Tremonti’s first couple of albums of Mark’s solo band Tremonti! Did an awesome job on those. Then I had the same reaction that you did when I watched this video when it was first released and also said Wow! The whole album is great. If you haven’t yet need to also check out Tremonti’s new album Marching in Time. And the track “If Not For You”. Love your reactions.
LOVE this album! Wolf is the real deal, man! You've got to check out his first single Distance. Very different from this, but it's an homage to his father.
You have to watch the official video though to get the full impact of it. Very touching. The song itself is really a thing special other than lyrically because of what it is about.
HEY! You want Hard Rock and Metal? Listen to Wolf's songs titled 'The Big Principle' AND 'Stone' FUCKING AWESOME and as great as this song here is the two I mentioned WILL have you banging your head big time! Enjoy listening to these two awesome cuts off of his album!
Way back when his dad's band became popular, I liked their songs, and Eddie was an amazing guitarist, but I wasn't really a "fan" and didn't purchase their music. We were blessed with so many other bands whose music I preferred at the time. However, when I first heard Mammoth WVH, I preordered his album before it was ever released and in my own opinion, Wolfie has more talent than should be humanly possible. Every single song in his album is great, but "Feel" is my favorite.
That’s what you get when your father is a guitar legend and your uncle is a kickAss drummer! This kid is soooooo talented! We’re gonna be listening to Wolf for a long time!
Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang Van Halen played every instrument and all the singing on this album, he's incredibly talented and makes great music.
he does all by himself for the record, and he has an awesome live band. u can see the band in Another Celebration At the End of the World.
Listen to Take A Bow. He has what I like to call a tribute solo to his Dad in there. It's amazing.
He plays and records all the instruments and sings. Tours with a band that is super tight.
So great live!!..Saw him twice on WVH Mammoth Tour!!
Saw Mammoth WVH live on August 19 in Los Angeles. Mammoth is even better live.
Dude, your first reaction of "Whoa!", was mine exactly. Blew me away, it is so bad ass! Instant fan. And the ending of the video was epic 😂
All his shit rocks! He is the Rock Savior
I like to say he got his acting chops from his mom, Valerie Bertinelli, music talent from his dad, uncle and paternal family. Definitely recommend checking out his song that was a tribute to his dad. The video was amazing
The whole album is amazing! Rock album of the Year IMO!!
Yes! So freaking good! Love his voice too.
I agree. Just saw them in ATL. One of my favorite shows. He and his band are as good as it gets.
Goddam ! All hail Wolf!
Impressive! He definitely did his dad very proud 🥲
Don't forget he played with drummer Alex Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and David lee Roth, but he is his own.
Close. He had unfortunately replaced Michael Anthony on bass.
Man that was solid and groovy...Thumbs up!
Awesome!!
Incredible album top to bottom.
Glad to see him step into his own
The entire album is fantastic!! Every song is great…🤘🏼
WOW! Just...WOW!!
So I'm bouncing around looking for videos to watch and see the 'WVH' on the title. I know who he is but never heard anything from him....until now. Verry impressed...love that sound!!
Yes he played every instrument on the album.
Next watch the video for Distance. It's a tribute to his dad. You might cry.
They are opening for Guns & Roses right now on tour. That whole Mammoth WVH album is a banger! He also played bass in Van Halen for 7 years. He's the real deal.
Saw him twice, last year with Dirty Honey, this year with Alter Bridge!..Amazing!!
Thanks man! Would have never known. Love it. Saw his Dad in Concert 3X.
Now that is talent, seems like everyone in the band had fun,
I see what you did there, Keith... 🤣
Wolfgang’s in 5150 studios in the video.
Ooh so happy you are reacting to him! He plays every instrument on the album, wrote all the songs.
Glad you liked it T LOL Wolf has massive talent Distance is a killer track and pays tribute to his dad. Yelp have a box full of tissues because it is very touching

I was surprised to hear you say Flotsam and Jetsam. If you've been getting into them, check out 'Suffer The Masses'. I think you would like it.
You should check out the song:I’m Alright from his second album. Only go for a live video shot by someone with good seats from the audience. He’s growing as a player and some of the live shows are amazing. Find a video shot in a club where the audience is full and close. It’s good!
You gotta hear his new one.
Don't forget alex can halen his uncle. He utilized all the influence in his life and came up with his own style. He Dad must be proud looking down
Did you also notice how the video had that David Lee Roth way? That humor that reminded me of something David Lee Roth would done in his video.
He served as Van Halen bassist for a few years before Eddie's death in
Check out WVH - Distance..... Flotsam & Jetsam - Drift. Is the album you're talking about.
Yeah hes something special, and I cant wait as he explores more hes cool. Multiple styles
Local radio station did a suprise show and it was Mammoth WVH intimate venue 400 capacity awesome musician great live act
U gotta hear the song/watch the video he did for his dad, good stuff
W O W! One of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen!
I’m happy to see you reacting to him. I don’t know much about him but i saw a performance after his dad died and he wrote a song fir him and i was very impressed!
I think Van Halen started out calling themselves mammoth. Cant remember for sure.
Wolfgang has been working for his dad in his uncle's band ever since he was 13 years old
Definitely check out some more of Wolfgang. Check out some Halestorm if you get a chance. Love bites (so do I) misery and others. Lizzy Hale will blow your mind.

"Wondering if he does guitar solos or not? " Yea, me too. As if anyone could take it to another level from EVH....good luck with that.
Check out his guitar solo for "Your to Blame".

@@mlkuhnpdx Your very welcome
Saw them love 2 weeks ago with dirty honey. They were really freaking good.
I’m totally awe struck! I never knew anyone could play all those instruments and sing great! I love him! Well like a son now. 😘😂
Wow 😳!!! A multi talent..... like his daddy!! ❣️❣️
Go Wolfie Go!!! Dad’s Eddie Van Halen, Uncle’s Alex Van Halen, started touring with Van Halen as a teen…Expect Greatness!
Texas i see you alot! I love Wolfie too looks like he has a little actor in him From his Mom too! showing us his humor . He just got engaged hope he has a whole bunch of Eddies running around because he was too young to lose his Dad
he has a full band, this is just a video! RIP Eddie! thank you for Wolfe!
The band is just a touring entity...Wolfie did the whole album himself
His dad said when he was 12 he was going to be way better than himself he was not kidding. He was playing in Van Halen when he was 15 and played for 15 years!

I will have to look up if this album was recorded at the 5150 studio.
First time hearing, and wow, it was fire! It's so good to see the talent he has carried on from his dad.
He is pretty much the prodigy of the Rock God.
You have to understand bro, his dad taught him the guitar and bass, and his uncle the drummer for Van Halen taught him the drums!!!!!! AWSOME!!!!!!!🎉
Very cool that you checked out Mammoth WVH (Wolfgang Van Halen) I really dig his whole album. Wolfgang says his main instrument is the drums. He did play Bass guitar on several Tremonti records recently.

Tremonti I had not heard of, but I'm about to get familiar with them right now... Thanks, good looking out.
My brother from another mother!!!! So glad u reacting to Wolf Gang's music ! Love you and your Honey's content!! Love from Colombia!!! 🇨🇴
sweet ass video.
HE also played every instrument on this album and wrote every song!! that's why in the video there is a multiplicity of him lol.
When your dad is Eddie Van Halen and your uncle is Alex Van Halen......there's no excuse😁! Not surprised he killed it!

Loved it, heard it before but nice to see your first reaction to it. The kid can definitely rock it.
You need to check out Mammoth WVH new single Celebration at the end of the world!!!!
🤘🎸✌🙏
I've been listening to him for a few months now... SO FREAKING GREAT
Check out Distance. Have some Kleenex handy.
I knew before this he could play bass as he played on Mark Tremonti’s first couple of albums of Mark’s solo band Tremonti! Did an awesome job on those. Proof that DNA matters.
Very talented young man. He played everything and sang everything as far as I know.
LOVE this album! Wolf is the real deal, man! You've got to check out his first single Distance. Very different from this, but it's an homage to his father.

Pretty damn good. Strong vocals. It could have used a good solo, because, ya know...

I guarantee you Dave grohl looks up to him
If you look on youtube Eddie and WVH do a few songs live great jam .
Not sure I love the song, but absolutely love the video and the talent.
WVH can sing!!!
Van Halen fans still get to win!!
Ummm, that was pretty good.
Gojira - Amazonia
That’s what you get when your father is a guitar legend and your uncle is a kickAss drummer! This kid is soooooo talented! We’re gonna be listening to Wolf for a long time!
I find it generic and boring
Jenny Craig come on down and save him
